The Moon is currently transiting through Gemini, right after getting Eclipsed in Taurus on Monday night into Tuesday Morning. The Moon comes out of the shadowy climax in Taurus, and enters into Gemini where it encounters Mars who stationed Retrograde here on October 30th. Mercury is currently the ruler of Mars in Gemini, and Mercury is in Mars’ sign, Scorpio. Both of these planets are in a mutual reception, meaning they’re in each other’s domiciles. However, they cannot witness each other.
I decided to deactivate my Twitter. I don’t know if it will be permanent or if it will be temporary but I do know that its not okay for my mental health to be on certain media platforms. This feeling of re-evaluating our relationship to social media, and particularly the harm it can cause, feels very appropriate for the themes of this Mars Retrograde. I didn’t know when I should take my social media break, but today Mars screamed at me that the time is now.
The Moon is said to not particularly like to be in Gemini, because it is the 12th sign from its domicile Cancer. The mind being in constant fluctuation and change can create a lot of mental instability in the current environment. The Moon encountering a malefic (Mars) by a bodily conjunction shows the imminent harm, conflict, or aggression that could agitate the mind (Gemini). Channeling rage, anger, frustration into more constructive mediums, with a mission, and with a purpose can help to offset some of the intensity of this particular Gemini Moon. The Moon is ruled by Mercury in Scorpio, and you know Scorpio always kicks things up a notch. I felt my mind being easily agitated as I would look at whats happening on the platform, and its not a sustainable way for me to engage my work as an astrologer. I feel this Mars Retrograde is going to involve making bigger changes so I can not have my attention super scattered, and concentrate my focus towards platforms that are more sustainable for my work.
I deliver this anecdote (as a Gemini Rising) to say that a lot of the Mars Retrograde revisions will start to initiate and present themselves over the next few days as the Moon gets closer to a corporeal conjunction with the Fiery Red Star, and I am DEFINITELY feeling them.
Mercury in Scorpio can make the mind susceptible to plotting, scheming, slander, and there is a certain stinging feelings to our conversations over the next few days. Knowing when to ease off and to retract from the intensity of debate will help to blow off some steam. Scorpio and Capricorn get this connotation of plotting, scheming, debating in their head, plotting against their enemies, secrets, and the hidden, thanks to Scorpio being Mars’ home and Capricorn being Mars’ exaltation. This Gemini/Scorpio combination brings lots of verbal intensity, aggressive speech, verbalizing pain, anger, and frustration. Gemini adds the communicative component, whereas Scorpio adds a level of depth and awareness of the secret undertones, whispers, and rumors that our minds fixate on in frustration. Take it easy because Mercury is also combust too, so our nervous system is quite literally on fire. Mercury is so close to the Sun it is being consumed by the Fire of the Sun. Not only that, but Mercury will also make a very harsh square to Saturn in Aquarius. Making this our second planet to do so. Restrictions in speech, communication, and knowledge are contrasted by the need to chat and talk with this Gemini Moon. This tension of censorship, limitations in speech and verbal expression, and a certain level of rigidity/seriousness/coldness can be felt in our conversations during this time. Not only that, but the Moon is responding to a planet in the sign where it is Fallen (the Moon is Fallen in Scorpio, where Mercury is), so the outcome of our conversations is stinging, and we’re caught in a moment where we may need to bite our tongue, even though Mars encourages us to act erratically, not give a fuck, and rebel. This Astro Weather is ROUGH yall. Please take care of yourself.
What kinds of thoughts are being brought up in your life? Do you notice any Mars Retrograde changes? I’m interested to hear your observations and experiences. Please make sure you’re making time for
Tomorrow marks a month I've been off of social media. Everything that has been transpiring since October 10th for me has reinforced the fact that this new found bounty of mental relief and emotional stability I have regained over a month was a direct result of taking a step back and re-evaluating my relationship to the mediums I use for communicarion. I hope you find the clarity and relief within yourself as well. Best wishes. -Lulu
Congrats on one month Lulu! Thats so awesome and Im so glad you’re finding more mental relief and stability. October 10th was the Full Moon in Aries (ruled by that Mars in Gemini). Thank you for sharing and it’s inspiring for re-evaluating my relationship too. 🙌🏽
This Mars transit through my 12th is making me sooo weird (detail: Mars is the Lord of my year). I think I should also make some adjustments with the way I deal with social media in general. Thank you, Blaze, for the words, and take your time away from twitter. We'r gonna get through this hopefully!
Mars has been transiting my 12H on my end & it’s been… a rough ride, definitely does not help with my gemini moon 💀 I’ve also found myself revisiting my relationship with social media as a whole since the start of this transit & beginning to create distance from it & how I engage with it, which has definitely brought about some helpful insights for myself especially with regards to my mental health. As well as some other personal stuff that’s taken place. Nonetheless, I’m hoping for the best for you through this transit as well & that things get better on your end ✨
Im so glad to here that!! This Mars Retrograde is taking everyone (especially the Geminis) for a whirlwind so Im so glad to here you’re able to take these steps for yourself to prioritize your own mental health. So great to see you over here, you’re amazing 🫶🏽
Hi, thanks for this post. I am having similar thoughts. I deactivated Twitter too and am staying off the other scrolling platforms as much as possible. I find myself getting irritated with what isn't working anymore (finally!) and appreciating more what is, evaluating the in between and assessing what I might want to risk doing even though it might not work. I also suddenly have a very renewed interest in Astrology and am going back to relearn a lot of things I thought I knew but really didn't. That has been the theme of my life for the last 3 years or more. Anyway, you are phenomenal and I appreciate what you do. I would like to see a trend to platforms where we can share knowledge and ideas and experiences and not just snapshots and opinions.
Yess I completely agree! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Ive been very dissatisfied with Twitter for a few months now and making this shift has definitely felt exhausting especially because sharing knowledge, ideas, and our experiences are so important and we don’t get the full nuance on Twitter. Very grateful to have your support 🫶🏽
Definitely feeling physically chronically depleted and sharp of tongue, but it is also bringing me low bandwidth dngaf vibes too, which is allowing me to be a bit philosophical about it all as long as I stand back.

I’ve left Twitter as well. You did amazing work over there and I will continue to support you any way I can.

I deleted social apps off my phone and seeing you mention that made it all make sense. What an experience to be living through this year.
