This week ahead is another pivotal one, as this is our final Eclipse in Sagittarius. This has been a part of a larger cycle we’ve been dealing with since May 2020, when the North and South Node (representative of points where we will get Eclipses) moved into Gemini and Sagittarius, causing new beginnings and important culminating moments in the houses this axis of signs falls in our chart. On top of that, Mars is getting into the final third of Scorpio, and making way for its departure within the next two weeks. This week is also the beginning of December! A new month ahead and it’s the final month of 2021, and a lot of the transits going on for the next month are going to play into the opening of 2022, with January and February.
December 2021 Forecast with Liam Sofias
I recorded a Monthly Forecast of the Astro Weather Forecast, where I dive deep into an overview of the month ahead with Astrologer Liam Sofias and it’s a new project that both of us will be working together on in the coming months. If you enjoy these weekly newsletters, you’ll enjoy this forecast. We’re going to be recording a Year Ahead forecast for 2022, as well as a consecutive month ahead forecast for 2022, so be on the lookout for those. This is a project I’ve wanted to do for quite a while, and partnering with Liam has been incredible and a delight to collaborate with, so I hope you all enjoy this forecast! Check it out below.

December 2021 Astro Weather Forecast
Monday Nov 29th
(3:54 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Libra
(9:10 AM ET) Mars in Scorpio trine Neptune at 20°24’ Pisces
(5:44 PM ET) Moon in Libra sextile Sun at 07°55’ Sagittarius
(6:33 PM ET) Moon in Libra sextile Mercury at 08°24’ Sagittarius
(7:23 PM ET) Moon in Libra trine Saturn at 08°53’ Aquarius
On Monday, we start the week fresh with the Moon entering the sign of Libra. The Moon will be making more positive aspects (sextiles and trines) to the planets today, so if there’s any time to work together, collaborate, and find a compromise, it’s today. Mars in Scorpio will also be making a trine over to Neptune today which gives us a green light to act from the ego, allow our impulses, and emotional instincts to direct our course of action. While this aspect can be nice, it also is challenging because right after Mars makes this trine to Neptune, it will then apply to a square to Jupiter next week. There has already been tension building between Mars and Jupiter ever since Mars separated from squaring Saturn on Nov 6th. That green light may drive you to make certain choices that could then later blow up and out of proportion. It’s better to make more moderated choices during this transit, and even with the Moon in Libra, this is even emphasized even more. Libra is about moderation, but in the face of an opportunity to take something further, how well can you restrict yourself from giving your ego the green light? The Moon trines Saturn at the end of the day which brings a more sober feeling to the day. Patience is a virtue.
Tuesday Nov 30th
(2:19 AM ET) Mercury in Sagittarius sextile Saturn at 08°54’ Aquarius
(2:55 PM ET) Moon in Libra square Venus at 20°22’Capricorn
(3:46 PM ET) Venus in Capricorn sextile Neptune at 20°24’ Pisces
(6:14 PM ET) Sun in Sagittarius sextile Saturn at 08°57’ Aquarius
(10:42 PM ET) Moon in Libra square Pluto at 25°02’ Capricorn
(11:19 PM ET) Moon in Libra trine Jupiter at 25º24’ Aquarius
VOID MOON: 11:19 PM to 6:55 AM ET tomorrow
When we move into Tuesday, we continue our story with the Moon in Libra, but on this day we get planets making some important contacts to Saturn. Both Mercury and the Sun. If we’ve been feeling like there’s a lack of grounding, an abundance of mental activity with no where to direct it, the two sextiles to Saturn help to provide some grounding and give our thoughts more form and structure. On top of that, Jupiter receives a trine from the Moon which can help to life the mood and make things a little more optimistic. The Moon squaring Venus is a motivator to do good things and to create order + structure. Take Tuesday to do any planning as an attempt to give something more form, structure, and balance. Jupiter’s influence on the day is giving a green light. The Sun sextiling Saturn is also important too because this is the final aspect that Saturn will receive from the Sun before its new cycle starts, since when the Sun enters Capricorn, it will be in aversion to Saturn in Aquarius. It’s the final evaluation of what we have is stable enough to bring into our lives in the new year, and new month!
Wednesday Dec 1st
(6:55 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Scorpio
(8:22 AM ET) STATION: Neptune stations Direct
(9:43 PM ET) Moon in Scorpio square Saturn at 09°03’ Aquarius
We start Wednesday with the Moon’s ingress into Scorpio, also setting the tone for the next mont ahead, since it’s now December 1st! Neptune will also station Direct on Wednesday as well, which is an important turning point, because what I’ve noticed from Neptune stations is that it can be analogous to when fog is being lifted, since Neptune tends to get this association with fog. In a way, it’s like a fog is lifted, and as a result we hit an obstacle, a brick wall, with the Moon squaring Saturn. We might find that there are some important issues we need to face and deal with before we can actually move forward and make some important changes, since this is the sign the Moon will be in before it enters Sagittarius and eclipses the Sun. Wednesday is going to feel like coming back to reality and sobering up. Saturn’s heaviness is the contention between a sober perspective of reality versus a fantasy.
Thursday Dec 2nd
(2:01 AM ET) Moon in Scorpio opposes Uranus at 11°43’ Taurus
(3:57 PM ET) Moon in Scorpio trine Neptune at 20°24’ Pisces
(5:51 PM ET) Moon in Scorpio sextile Venus at 21°35’ Capricorn
(7:45 PM ET) Moon conjoins Mars at 22°46’ Scorpio
(11:25 PM ET) Moon in Scorpio sextile Pluto at 25°05’ Capricorn
As we transition over into Thursday, the Moon will again be crossing through the fixed signs, making a hard aspect to Uranus and then again a conjunction to Mars in its home sign. It doesn’t feel as heavy as Wednesday feels, however, because the Moon will conjoin it’s ruler, it’s going to be a day to process pain, the ways in which you’ve been hurt, and any grief that you’ve held in. The only way out of your emotions is to work through them, and today is a day where we cannot ignore or deprive ourselves of our desires. That’s why the Moon is Depressed in Scorpio and Exalted in Taurus: the Moon is nourished and abundant in care with Taurus, whereas, in Scorpio, the Moon finds itself deprived, hungry, and full of desire for care and nourishment. Don’t deprive yourself of what you desire, it will just hurt you more. Give yourself permission to be receptive to joy and nourishment.
Friday Dec 3rd
(12:22 AM ET) Moon in Scorpio square Jupiter at 25°41’
VOID MOON: 12:22 AM ET to 7:12 AM ET
(7:12 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Sagittarius
(9:45 PM ET) Moon in Sagittarius sextile Saturn at 9°13’ Aquarius
As we transition into Friday, the Moon will square Jupiter, which helps to provide some relief and optimism to any of the emotional challenges with rejection and nourishment that came up on Thursday. The Moon will then go into Sagittarius where it will then enter the sign will it will be Eclipsed tomorrow. The energy is certainly ramping up by this time period. Find grounding as much as possible with the Moon making a sextile to Saturn. It’s actually the Moon’s only aspect it will be making before it Eclipses the Sun. So the Moon transferring the light from Saturn to the Sun who’s light is being cut of can be an indicator that some structure or stability might find a shake-up as a result of the Eclipse. I recommend rest and protecting your energy as much as possible during Eclipse season. Take it easy on Friday.
Saturday Dec 4th
(2:43 AM ET) ECLIPSE: Solar Eclipse at 12°22’ Sagittarius
(7:43 AM ET) Moon conjoins Mercury at 15°32’ Sagittarius
(3:22 PM ET) Moon in Sagittarius square Neptune at 20°24’ Pisces
Whats been building up for the whole week is the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius on Saturday. This Eclipse will be the final Eclipse in Sagittarius until 2029, and it is the closure to the previous 18 months with the Eclipses bouncing back and forth between Gemini/Sagittarius. Eclipses are celestial power outages, because when we get an exact alignment between these planets, it causes the Moon to lose light during a Lunar Eclipse, and for the Sun to lose light during a Solar Eclipse.
The symbolic significance is important endings & beginnings.
New chapters are starting, and old one’s are ending. We had an Eclipse two weeks ago in Taurus which was a preview into the next Eclipse series that will take place in Taurus/Scorpio once the North and South Node enter into those signs. Their ingress will be on Jan 18th, 2022. During a Solar Eclipse, some sort of seed is being planted, since it is a New Moon. This is a super charged New Moon that begins a new story, or a new series of events, that will play out for the next 6 months. The Sun and Moon are representative of our rhythm, vitality, and how we go about utilizing both the physical and spiritual aspects of our being. When we get Eclipses, this rhythm becomes disrupted, and the houses Eclipses are in can show what topics are being disrupted. While this Eclipse talks about beginnings, it’s the last Eclipse in this series. Since this Eclipse is going to be conjoined to the South Node, purging something, letting go, release, and finding liberation. A keyword for the South Node is decrease. In Sagittarius, there has been a longer cycle of redefining your connection with the House Sagittarius rules in your chart. Through having to empty and release our faith, preconceived notions, beliefs, and blindsided optimism towards certain houses, we can redefine our connection to the Sagittarius Part of our chart, so that we may allow that area to fill with purpose, meaning, and a renewed sense of faith. South Node Eclipses are about cutting off what no longer serves you. Like cutting off dead roots in a plant. If we want to move forward and find some stabilization in the house that Sagittarius rules in the chart, we need to release some final opinions, beliefs, outlooks that limit ourselves from being able to experience freedom, liberation, and energized. This Eclipses will be our First Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius that is ruled by Jupiter in Aquarius, and it really highlights the themes of the Aquarius part of our chart as well. Jupiter’s been trying to expand this house and provide some relief through Saturn’s structure. However, Jupiter hasn’t had the opportunity to bring any long term change in Aquarius until this Eclipse. Jupiter in Aquarius is all about finding networks, building bridges, connections, and de-centralizing the way truth, knowledge, and faith is shared. With Jupiter in Aquarius III, we have the final opportunity to untangle ourselves out of a knot that we found ourselves weaving earlier this year, starting April 14th, 2021. Jupiter in Aquarius has understands of how people are connected, and what structures bring people together. In order to invite new opportunities and experiences in the house the Eclipses falls in your chart, you must first make space for them. You can’t stuff a suitcase thats already been stuffed with even more clothes. Pack lighter, metaphorically of course. Ultimately, with the South Node in Sagittarius, we must let go of self limiting beliefs. Saying things like “I can’t do this” or “it’s not possible” or “theres no way this can work out”. You have defeated yourself before you have even gotten an external answer. One technique that Astrology typically use to find when an Eclipse will become activated is when Mars will transits the degree of an Eclipse.
Mars will transits 12º22’ Sagittarius on December 30th, 2021 at 6:15 PM ET.
Expect these changes to be ushered in during the New Year.

Sunday Dec 5th
(12:08 AM ET) Moon in Sagittarius sextiles Jupiter at 25°57’ Aquarius
VOID MOON: 12:08 AM to 6:30 AM ET
(6:30 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Capricorn
As we move into Sunday, the aftermath of the Eclipse, the Moon will make a sextile to it’s ruler, Jupiter in Aquarius, which carries some of the light towards Jupiter over what important changes were happening in it’s sign. It’s interesting because this Eclipse has the Mars/Jupiter squaring building up, and even though the Moon in Sagittarius cannot see Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter is able to witness both Mars and the Moon, and will collect their light. Jupiter has some major problems to deal with, since Mars is making the overcoming square to Jupiter, and the next 2 weeks will be about trying to put things into motion rapidly to minimize something that could potentially grow out of proportion. It’s better to take care of issues sooner rather than later, especially since Mars as a malefic makes problems very overt and clear. We see that aspect building more into next week, but we become more aware of any issues or changes that need to be made in the Sagittarius part of our chart, because today Jupiter collects both of the light from Mars and the Moon.
