Welcome back everyone, sorry about last week with no update. I’ve been really feeling the exhaustive nature of Capricorn transit, since they’re in my 8th and with my South Node + Mars, so I took the week to relax a little. However, moving forward, we get a nice shift of energy coming into this week. Mars and Mercury change signs, we have a Full Moon in Gemini, and by the end of the week Venus stations Retrograde. Mercury, after traversing through Sagittarius, and conjoining the Sun, has been really burned up, and now Mercury finds a little more relief by being in a sign similar in nature: cold and dry. Theres a lot of relief to our nervous system, our minds, and our train of thought. We find ourselves taking more time to be meaningful and calculated about what we say, and find some composure. Meanwhile, Mars becomes lit up with fire and passion as they enter Sagittarius. Time to practice your achery. Act with intention, act with passion, but Mars does cojoin the South Node so leave your ego at your doorstep. It will not help you here. We build up the week to a Full Moon in Gemini, which will be our first Gemini lunation in 18 months that isn’t an Eclipse. However, it will be in the same sign as the Nodes so the volume is turned up significantly. By the end of it all, we make our descent into the Underworld with Venus stationing Retrograde. Let’s take a dive into the week and see what awaits on the path ahead.

Monday Dec 13th

(4:52 AM ET) INGRESS: Mars enters Sagittarius

As we move into Monday, we get these major dignity shifts of Mars and Mercury. We actually start out day with Mars leaving Scorpio. This is interesting because Mars held a lot of responsibility and even comfort while in Scorpio, it’s home sign. At the same time though, Mars was under the beams for a good chunk of time. Now Mars is released from the beams, visible in the morning, and in Sagittarius, lit ablaze. We haven’t had Mars come into a Fire Sign since it was in Leo earlier in July 2021. And before that, Mars’ last visit to a Fire sign was during it’s Retgrograde from September 2020 to November 2020. As the Moon is in Aries, on the Moon’s day, expect to be ignited with passion and with a spark, feeling a nice sense of accomplishment and purpose as the Moon trines the Sun. Following that trine, Mercury enters Capricorn, leaving the sign of it’s Detriment when Mercury is not functioning well. Mercury’s message gets lots in translation, nerves are all over the place, and communication doesn’t work. Now that Mercury enters Saturn’s sign, cold and dry, Mercury can have a much more sober, less inflamed, and cooled down sense of reason on the world. It may be a period where also feeling mentally exhausted. It’s important to take some time to rest and to not rush. As the Moon squares Pluto and Venus, the square between Aries and Capricorn is giving villain energy. Who’s the villain in your story? Who do we make the villain? How do we make others out to be the villain and project our own fears onto others? Theres a lot of Fire and Earth in the Astrology today, and through a good majority of the week. Theres a lot of tension, friction, and abrsaiveness between people. Fire and Earth actually share the quality of dryness together, which can be tension, friction, and resistance. Dryness give something form and hardens it, and sometimes this makes us become aware of the rejection we cast towards others and receive. The Moon squares Venus while Aries being the sign of her Detriment, and Capricorn is the sign of the Moon’s Detriment. This interaction is spicy. As the Moon sextiles Jupiter, what is the lesson you learn from all this? It can talk about gossip and rumors amongst friends since the Moon is in the 3rd sign from Jupiter, and Jupiter is in the 11th sign from the Moon.

Tuesday Dec 14th

(3:10 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Taurus

(5:19 AM ET) Moon in Taurus trine Mercury at 01º04’ Capricorn

(11:36 PM ET) Moon in Taurus square Saturn at 10º11’ Aquarius

As we move into Tuesday, we find things get a lot slower. It’s interesting because the two messangers, The Moon and Mercury, form a beautiful trine to each other, where the Moon is exalted, and Mercury is in a much nicer sign. We may get a really nice opportunity to stay grounded, connect to the sensational part of ourselves and explore. I think a lot about materiality with these Earth transits, and it is definitely an opportunity to think about what are our physical needs? This might be a great time to work with money, banking, accounting, getting some challenging stuff done with work. Clearing out responsibilities with the Moon squaring Saturn as a way to enjoy one’s environment. Capricorn as an Earth sign ahs to deal with building and shaping the earth to one’s will. This is the reason for Mars being exalted in Capricorn. Take a walk. Connect to nature. Do everything you can to get in touch with your senses. The physical is a gateway to the spiritual.

Wednesday Dec 15th

(1:50 AM ET) Moon conjoins Uranus at 11º18’ Taurus

(3:12 PM ET) Mars conjoins the South Node at 01º41’ Sagittarius

(8:20 PM ET) Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune at 20º27’ Pisces

Wednesday is a deflating moment. We find ourselves righteous and ready to share one’s vision with Mars in Sagittarius, or fight for the truth. But you can expect the unexpected with the Moon’s conjunction to Uranus. Unexpected deflation of the ego. Those that have been on their high horse will find themselves falling off. Those who have not believed in themselves enough will find more courage to stand up for their truth and their vision. Mars is a malefic planet, pushing things to an extreme, brings dangers with the element of Fire. The challenge with fire here is due to the Jupiterian nature of Fire and it spreading. Be careful of fire spreading or growing out of control, especially today since Mars conjoins the South Node. Mars harms the truth and weaponizes it in Sagittarius, so be careful of false information and propaganda, a key signification of Sagittarius.

Thursday Dec 16th

(6:28 AM ET) Moon in Taurus trines Pluto at 25º27’ Capricorn

(11:08 AM ET) Moon in Taurus squares Jupiter at 27º45’ Aquarius

(3:42 PM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Gemini

(8:55 PM ET) Moon in Gemini opposes Mars at 02º34’ Sagittarius

As we move into Thursday, the Moon makes a trine to Venus and Pluto, which feels a lot different than the aspect it made earlier while it was in Aries. It feels much more tiring and grounded since it’s a trine, and Venus, as the ruler of the Moon, is in the sign (Capricorn) of the Moon’s Detriment. The Moon is technically being maltreated here, since it’s ruler is not in a position to exalt it. This can be represented as getting some sort of challenging news, or someone’s expectations not being met in some way. Feeling disappointed or unable to attain what one desires or expects. However, the Moon squaring Jupiter later does offer some support to bring a solution. The Moon will then enter Gemini and make an opposition to Mars later in the day. Expect verbal arguments, fights, battles of truth and facts. Those oppositions across the Gemini and Sagittarius axis can get argumentative and fiesty. Trying to force your way into getting people to agree with you will not work in your favor.

Friday Dec 17th

(12:57 PM ET) Moon in Gemini trine Saturn at 10º26’ Aquarius

Friday is probably the calm before the storm. There’s only one aspect for the day. The Moon trines Saturn. There is a brief moment of mental clarity and stability, especially since the Moon will make a trine to Mercury’s ruler, Saturn, while Mercury rules the Moon. Technically the Moon will be void of course from 12:57 PM ET until 11:35 PM ET on Saturday, which is a whole 36 hours without making an aspect to any visible planets. If you find your mind going all over the place, use what you can to bring it back to center. It can be easy for the mind to delve into really destructive and self depricating traits, I mean the Tarot Cards of Gemini’s Decans are the 8 of Swords, 9 of Swords, and 10 of Swords. If you know, YOU KNOW! Focus on your mental health, journal, and do not let those thoughts just sit in your head. It can be easy to do nothing, but Saturn ask us to ground our thoughts and to be comfortable sharing them, but keep it private. You can release your thoughts and give them form and structure without having to necessarily share them with others. Journaling is a way to channel the thoughts out of your mind and on to paper. Think of it as a broom dusting the thoughts out of your mind, collecting them, and organizing them into the dustpan that is your notebook or Notes App.

Saturday Dec 18th

(9:23 AM ET) Moon in Gemini square Neptune at 20º29’ Pisces

(11:35 PM ET) LUNATION: Full Moon at 27º28’ Gemini

As we move into Saturday, we come to the day of the Full Moon! Going to feel mentally intense, and somewhat confusing too, since the Moon squares Neptune before going exact. However, it’s confusing because a green light is being presented in some way. The Moon, right after going full, makes a trine to Jupiter going into Sunday, and then the Sun applies to a sextile tomorrow as well. Jupiter collects the light of both of the Luminaries who are very abundant in exerting their light. This Full Moon in Gemini is deeply connected with Jupiter in Aquarius’ story, talking about how we connect with other people, form systems of support, and exchange of information and knowledge? There is some sort of lesson to gain from this. Especially since Jupiter will be in the 9th sign from the Moon.

The Moon’s ruler is also going to be Mercury who is freshly in Capricorn, the sign of the Moon’s Detriment. This can be some sort of important problem that is presented within words, documents, code of ethic, laws, conduct and behavior, since the Moon is unhappy that it’s responding to Mercury during this time. Think about travel, vehicles, things with the post office, letters, messages, social media, mediums in which information travels through.

This Full Moon has a heavy undertone of Saturn, since both the Sun, Jupiter, and the Moon are in the bounds of Saturn. Some sort of restriction comes in and infrastructure collapses in some way. Saturn is in it’s most dangerous 3rd quarter phase where Saturn, as a naturally very cold planet, is having it’s nature of coldness being exacerbated.

Sunday Dec 19th

(1:02 AM ET) Moon in Gemini trine Jupiter in Aquarius

VOID MOON: 1:02 AM to 4:41 AM ET

(4:41 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Cancer

(5:35 AM ET) STATION: Venus stations Retrograde at 26º29’ Capricorn

(7:31 PM ET) Sun in Sagittarius sextiles Jupiter at 28º19’ Aquarius

As we carry over into Sunday, we wrap up the week with that trine to Jupiter, and then the Moon heads over into Cancer, which helps with some elemental balance. It’s still very dry and a battle of hot and cold (desire to expand versus the desire to contract), and the Moon helps to add some wetness and moistness. Just in time for Venus’ station Retrograde early in the morning. From this moment until January 29th, Venus will be Retrograde, taking a dive into the underworld, not only by her Retrogradation motion, but because she will also be conjoined to Pluto, the planet of the Underworld, in the sky. This is a time period where we need to think deeply of our needs. How does our environment feel pretty barren? How can we till the land of our life to plant the seeds that will eventually blossom into beautiful trees sometime in the future? Capricorn ask us to think about the future, through looking at the past. Investment in the future and working to build structure and stability is what this Venus Retrograde will bring up as important topics. What is the long term value of the friendships we cultivate with others? In other ways, what do we feel we are deprived of? Our needs become especially relevant since the Moon is in Cancer. When Venus goes Retrograde, we get called to revisit all of Venus’ core significations: friendliness, luxury, joy, happiness, want of moral principles, swearing by oaths, tranquillity, generosity, kindness, liberality, showing love, desire, justice, and fairness. Venus Retrograde can actually be periods where peace is being disturbed because the scales of Justice need to be tipped. This is when we get to realize this something is too unbalanced and we need to make important adjustments (Retrograde motion) to restore something to equilibrium. Set high standards for your relationships, and look at old relationships to see what didn’t work out, and what you need to change. It takes two to build a relationship. What role and part do you want to play, and what can you do better to improve your quality of effort? Quality over quantity with Capricorn.
