This ends a 2 month long focus on revising and reviewing the topics that the house Capricorn rules when Mercury went Retrograde here.
An apology for the late monthly forecast for all my paid subscribers. I’ve been super busy the past few days so I haven’t had any time to write it. I’m planning to send it out sometime this week. (Shooting for Virgo Moon). And to anyone sending emails out to me currently, I have not had time to check up on them, so please be patient with replies.
Monday Feb 6th
[9:15 AM ET] The Moon in Leo opposes Saturn at 26º31’ Aquarius
[4:14 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Virgo
On Monday, the Moon opposes Saturn in Aquarius while transiting through Leo, which still carries forward the themes of the Full Moon to the ruler of the Full Moon: Saturn. The Moon in Leo talks about the need to be seen, the ego to be recognized, to seek affirmation and validation from the external and they find themselves in contention with a strong, stern, and powerful Saturn in Aquarius. This brings an acute awareness of the limits, restrictions, laws, and regulations throughout the day. Saturn can make us feel more serious, tired, exhausted, delayed, and restrained throughout the day after the active and energetic full moon. Whenever Saturn is in a hard aspect to anything, they usually say NO which brings up feelings of being rejected, having to reject things, feeling blocked, and restricted by barriers. The limits are at constraints with our wants and our actions, and Saturn acts as a binding force that restricts our will and prevents us from taking action. Encountering delays or circumstances that slow us down show us the hurdles in our way. Saturn is underneath the beams during this time, disappeared from the sky and invisible due to being too close to the Sun. This Full Moon is important because it highlights the fact that Saturn is gone from the sky and ending its cycle. Saturn in this Evening Star phase is compared to an old person who has reached the end of their life, and approaches death, representing a finality and permanent end. Saturn is said to be more dangerous in this phase because of those associations of reaching the limits of life. In terms of its cycle, Saturn is at end and will be reborn, starting a new cycle, when it conjoins the Sun on February 16th, 2023.
There are major endings and transitions coming to the house Aquarius rules in your chart that this Full Moon highlights.
The loss of structure, stability, & endurance is signified by Saturn in its evening star phase, under the beams, & by the time it emerges from the beam reborn as a morning star, Saturn will have entered the Mutable, flexible, & adaptable Water sign Pisces where it has no strength. The loss of structure, stability, & endurance is signified by Saturn in its evening star phase, under the beams, & by the time it emerges from the beam reborn as a morning star, Saturn will have entered the Mutable, flexible, & adaptable Water sign Pisces where it has no strength. All that was held together disperses and spreads out. As if ice is frozen solid, consolidated in the Fixed, Cold, Air of Aquarius, melting in the warming, expansive, and vast Mutable Water sign Pisces.
Tuesday Feb 7th
[4:05 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo square Mars at 11º56’ Gemini
[10:01 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo opposes Venus at 14º55’ Pisces
On Tuesday, the Moon will continue to move through Virgo which brings a more critical, factual, and discerning attitude for the next few days. The Mercurial energy makes us want to talk, chat, converse, analyze, and pay attention to the details. The Moon will be applying towards square to Mars in Gemini. This brings a more confrontational, competitive, and action filled day with the overcoming influence of Mars. Mars can make us feel irritated, angry, and aggressive throughout the first portion of the day. In the sign of Gemini, both the Moon and Mars are ruled by Mercury in Capricorn. Mars in Gemini overcoming the Moon can show more debate, arguing, and competition in knowledge, information, and news. Mars inflames, ignites, creates heat, fire, and friction in our lives. The Moon will be in this applying square to Mars all day, on Tuesday, the day of Mars, so we definitely feel the influence of this planet in the first portion of the day. The Moon will then make an opposition to Venus in Pisces throughout the second half of the day. The tension should release and get softer as the Moon moves over towards Venus who wants to unify, calm down, soothe, and relax tensions. Whereas Mars shows division and separation, Venus brings unity and harmony. Mars wants to quicken the pace of things, and in a square, Mars can sometimes be forceful and aggressive to keep things moving along. The Moon in Virgo can show dryness and rigidity in our interactions, but an opposition to Venus brings more fluidity, flexibility, and openness to change. Venus makes love, relationships, pleasures, and relaxation important themes for the end of the day. It is also a great time for creative and artistic pursuits as Venus also represents these topics. While the day starts off antsy and energetic, the end of the day gives us a nice balm and soothes our nerves.
Wednesday Feb 8th
[9:29 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo trine Mercury at 26º48’ Capricorn
On Wednesday, the Moon in Virgo will be separating from a nice opposition to Venus in Pisces, who adds more fluidity and softness to the experience of this lunar transit. After that, the Moon will be applying to trine Mercury in Capricorn throughout the entire day. The Moon in Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury, which is why it brings up themes of writing, creating, plans, strategies, knowledge, craft, discernment, and technology. In a trine to the domicile lord creates reception between the two planets. If the Moon is seeking knowledge, information, skills, craftsmanship, documents, or information, Mercury is in agreement with providing the information. This is a great day to get writing done, edit existing work, seeking out or requesting documents, information, or any knowledge, speaking with professors, teachers, or scientists, and for trying to organize, get details, purchasing a book, and business matters. There is an ease and flow of information from our minds through the pen to paper. I always recommend towards writers and people who are looking to do Mercurial-related work, always on Wednesdays or on Saturday nights. Wednesdays are ruled by Mercury, and Saturday Nights are also ruled by Mercury, so instead of going out, its study time. Pair together Wednesday as Mercury’s Day, with the Moon in Mercury’s sign, making a trine to Mercury themselves: it is an extra Mercurial day today. Lots of good energy flowing and more mental focus that follows with Mercury really supported in the sky today. Mercury is moving through Capricorn, which brings some new resolution and close to the house that Capricorn rules in your chart as Mercury gets ready to move out of this sign after spending the past 2 months here (December and January). Mercury in Capricorn brings news about old things, the past, ancient knowledge, accomplishment, plans + strategies, secrets, hidden knowledge, and advisors + assistants. The Moon will connect with no further planets after this trine, which ends this Virgo Moon transit on a good note, in harmony and clear understanding + comprehension.
Thursday Feb 9th
[3:46 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Libra
[7:02 PM ET] The Moon in Libra opposes Jupiter at 07º48’ Aries
On Thursday, the Moon will enter Libra early in the morning ET. The Moon changes from being more Earthy and Mutable to Cardinal and Airy. The cardinality of the moon brings the impulse to initiate, start new connections, and form partnerships in an Air sign. The element of Air makes the new few days more social, with lots of discourse, and an openness to meet others. The Moon will be ruled by Venus in Libra which brings matters of justice, harmony, peace, and compromise to be the focus of the next few days. Also creative ventures like singing, dancing, playing instruments, painting, drawing, sculpting, and more. It also brings matters of relationships, love, partnerships, contract, and agreements to the forefront of our focus. The Moon will be ruled by Venus who is currently exalted in Pisces. The Piscean component and exaltation of Venus show success and elevation in matters of diplomacy and fairness being highlighted. Venus in Pisces shows selfless compassion, solidarity, and all-inclusive unity. There is a tweet my dear friend Óscar Moises Diaz made and in it he describes the significations of Venus and Jupiter. Venus is exalted in Jupiter’s sign, Pisces, and the themes of liberation and justice are both interconnected. Liberation and freedom (Jupiter) elevates justice and peace (Venus).
Some of these themes and topics become important for the next few days as the Moon travels through this sign. The Moon will make an opposition to Jupiter throughout the entire day which makes our attitude more optimistic, cheerful, hopeful, and collaborative. Jupiter is a planet of friendship, forms alliances, uplifts others spirits, and seeks to affirm us. These influences are felt throughout the entire day and Jupiter is urging us to take action, take initiative, and start those new beginnings (Jupiter is in Aries). The Moon connecting with Jupiter on Jupiter’s day is significant because it shows the intensity of Jupiter’s influence being prevalent today. Jupiter can bring wisdom from teachers, mentors, and guidance today. It may require us to shift our faith and perspective from being more contemplative (Moon in Libra) to making the jump and taking initiative (Aries). Jupiter offers encouragement, optimism, freedom, generosity, and abundance today. The Moon connecting with a benefic makes this a more pleasant day today.
Friday Feb 10th
[4:24 AM ET] The Moon in Libra trine Mars at 12º38’ Gemini
[10:38 PM ET] The Moon in Libra trine the Sun at 22º07’ Aquarius
On Friday, the Moon moved from an opposition to Jupiter who offered encouragement, zealousness, and enthusiasm and will be applying to a trine with Mars in Gemini. Mars in a trine can bring more quickness, alertness, energy, and feels like a shot of espresso or a kick of adrenaline. Mars makes us more quick, fast, and reactive with urgency and sharpness. It doesn’t feel as forceful and fricative as it did when the Moon was in Virgo and squared Mars. A trine can show the rapid development of energy and action. Mars is gaining more speed too so there is an added element of quickness being felt throughout the day. Mars is a malefic planet so it can also bring more debate, arguments, and gossip that develops through our social interactions and examinations of the relationships people have. Disruption of the peace is the influence that Mars brings in the overcoming trine like a fast breeze that roars through the air. Mars brings competition and contests, like sports and games. The Moon will make a trine to the Sun in Aquarius throughout the entire day, and it forms a Grand Air trine in the sky with Mars in Gemini. The Moon brings revelations, understanding, awareness, and knowledge about matters of peace, balance, and relationships as it trines the Sun. There is a lot of contemplation, seriousness, and restraint with this Libra Moon because it makes a trine to the Sun in Aquarius who is ruled by Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn is exalted in Libra, and since Venus is in aversion to the Moon, Saturn has more influence to govern the affairs of what is being highlighted here. Saturn can make us more aware of restrictions, limitations, and boundaries going from Friday into Saturday. The Moon will make a trine to Saturn in Aquarius through the weekend.
Saturday Feb 11th
[6:22 AM ET] INGRESS: Mercury enters Aquarius
[8:07 AM ET] The Moon in Libra trine Saturn at 27º06’ Aquarius
[1:34 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Scorpio
[2:26 PM ET] The Moon in Scorpio square Mercury at 00º27’ Aquarius
On Saturday, another planet joins the Air Sign party, and it is none other than Mercury in Aquarius. Mercury hasn’t changed signs since early December because it retrograded through Capricorn, but today marks the start of a new transition. Mercury has been “out of the action” in the astrology as its been quite isolated in Capricorn. Moving into Aquarius, Mercury is the celestial translator and scribe who makes the influences of the planets intelligible and comprehendible. Mercury is able to witness the Sun and Saturn in Aquarius (conjunction), Mars in Gemini (trine), and Jupiter in Aries (sextile). Mercury enters into an Air Sign which is one of the elements Mercury has essential dignity by triplicity. The triplicity dignity of Mercury, coupled with the first 7º of Aquarius being the Egyptian Bound of Mercury make Mercury’s ingress very prominent, swift, and supported. Mercury comes to deliver important information, documents, and letters. Mercury is a morning star in the current phase and is separated from the Sun by 22º which means it is visible in the sky just before sunrise. Mercury gains a lot of strength here in Aquarius and with it brings more support in writing, communicating, organizing ideas, consolidating, fixing, and firming perspective. Our ability to articulate our ideas and thoughts becomes a lot easier since the Saturnian influence of Aquarius allows us to be firm in our thinking, thoughts, and “following the rules”. Saturn gives structure to our speech. Structure, firmness, and Saturn’s nature become really highlighted as the Moon makes a trine to Saturn right after Mercury enters Aquarius. Mercury communicates the rules, regulations, restrictions, and barriers in the sign of Aquarius. Aquarius makes us concerned with the consensus, status quo, what ideas are institutionalized by society, the way certain hegemonic structures in our world operate, and how we can collectively organize to create new ones. Mercury will be ruled by Saturn in Aquarius and will be applying to a conjunction to Saturn throughout this entire time. They conjoin at 29º Aquarius at the beginning of March, right before Saturn enters Pisces. In many ways, Mercury is bringing news, information, and “deadlines” to the house Aquarius rules in your chart. Mercury brings news about the loss of structure, more fluidity, and flexibility that is coming to the house that Aquarius rules. Saturn has brought long lasting challenges and blockages to this house, but we start to see a major ending of those barriers make way over the next few weeks. Things that were not enduring become less stable whereas whatever was firm and solid remains in this house. Saturn’s influence is to see who and what can stand the test of time. When Mercury is with Saturn or in Saturn’s sign, it usually restrains the voice and restricts our ability to communicate, and especially in a conjunction to Saturn, I would expect this transit to bring up censorship, restriction of speech, and the concealment of information.
The Moon will enter Scorpio today which tends to be an omen of physical discomfort and mental anguish. The Moon makes a square to Mercury immediately upon its ingress which brings important news, information. We may feel called to write or articulate our not-so-fun feelings. The Moon is in Scorpio, so it indicates we may be inclined to feel more irritable, agitated, feeling the sting of the scorpion, frustrated, and lacking comfort/nourishment. The Moon will be in a Mars ruled sign, so it indicates more fights, conflict, and confrontation. We may find insensitivity with our words hurts others feelings and becomes a source of stinging.
Sunday Feb 12th
[2:32 AM ET] The Moon conjoins the South Node at 06º55’ Scorpio
The Moon will continue to move through Scorpio throughout the entire weekend, and its giving “I want to do absolutely nothing, I am tired”. The Moon will be moving towards a conjunction to the South Node today which really depletes us of energy and vitality throughout the day. Make sure to take care of your body, relax, not add any extra stress, and find ways to bring nourishment to what is not taken care of. Where the trees and nature grows and becomes alive during the Venusian spring of Taurus, the trees and nature dies and decays during the Martian autumn of Scorpio. The Moon will connect with no planets throughout the entire day but it will be moving towards a trine to Venus in Pisces who can help out, add some comfort, relaxation, and soothe some of the irritation the Moon can bring. Venus offers assistance with love, harmony, unity, friendliness, and compassion towards the end of the day.
