Monday, Nov 14th
[12:34 AM ET] The Moon in Cancer opposes Pluto at 26º26’ Capricorn
[2:54 AM ET] The Moon in Cancer trine Venus at 27º34’ Scorpio
[5:40 AM ET] The Moon in Cancer trine Jupiter at 28º57’ Pisces
[7:47 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Leo
[10:43 PM ET] The Sun in Scorpio trine Neptune Retrograde at 22º44’ Pisces
On Monday, the Moon will continue to swim through Cancer pulling this Grand Water trine closer and closer together. Mondays are ruled by the Moon, and the Moon visiting home on her day feels really nice. The Moon will be applying towards a trine to Venus in Scorpio, which initiates this impulse of support, care, and the need to revitalize Venusian topics in our lives and in our charts. Venus is currently exiled in Scorpio, but the Moon is in domicile, at home in Cancer is able to give its power over to Venus, encouraging empathy, compassion, and expression of feelings regarding partnerships and relationships. Venus is currently not in the best of conditions in this sign, and the Moon connecting with Venus in a positive aspect looks like a moment where Venus receives assistance and support from the Moon. The Moon brings revelations about our emotions, feelings, and how we can create safety and vulnerability to allow trust to be rebuild in our partnerships. Venus being exiled can influence us to feel betrayed, alone, and abandoned in our partnerships, but we find that the Moon in the cardinal sign Cancer has strength to initiate, create change, and bring motion to stagnant feelings. The Moon will be enclosed between benefic planets as it passes from Venus over to Jupiter in Pisces, which brings the agreement and meeting of two planets in their domicile. Jupiter is able to offer some optimism, wisdom, and acceptance that may prompt us to start revisiting themes and topics in the house Pisces rules in your chart. Jupiter trining the Moon is indicative of acceptance, support from friends, wisdom and guidance from a teacher, diviner, or astrologer. The abundance of water floods Monday and feeling unbalanced or unmoderated might be a symptom. The benefics being activated is always a good time and it will definitely bring much needed release of tension. The Moon will enter Leo later in the day which slowly adds a little more heat into the Astro Weather, especially as we start to get more of the planets entering Fire Signs later in the week. The Moon comes to dazzle and glimmer in Leo, putting on a spectacle, bringing the theatrics, and desiring recognition, spotlight, and putting on a show. After the Moon was in Cancer, in contemplation and in reflection, the Moon bursts into action in the Fixed Fire Sign on Monday. We can start to feel the warmth and friction building. Water is Wet and so it is adaptable, fluid, and malleable whereas Fire is drying, so it is rigid, abrasive, and rough. The Moon brings a healthy amount of sass & playfulness to Monday as the Moon separates from Jupiter and does not yet aspect Saturn, who will depress its mood.
Tuesday, Nov 15th
[4:35 AM ET] Venus in Scorpio trine Jupiter Retrograde at 28º55’ Pisces
[5:23 PM ET] The Moon in Leo square Uranus Retrograde at 16º38’ Taurus
[10:17 PM ET] The Moon in Leo opposes Saturn at 19º04’ Aquarius
On Tuesday, the Moon will be moving through the Fixed Axis, activating a lot of the Saturn/Uranus activity. As the closure to Eclipse Season, the Moon connecting with an opposition to Saturn shows us there are some limits, constraints, boundaries, obstacles, and delays that stand in our way for most of the day. The Moon in Leo highlights matters of authority, leadership, the self, being recognized, seen, and affirmed in one’s identity. The Moon will encounter a harsh opposition to Saturn, which introduces constraints and even a sense of rejection. It makes Tuesday a serious, somber, and melancholic day. Saturn tells us that we need to take things slow, and consider the consequences of our actions. We may feel like our identity, our sense of self, and ability to express ourselves is restricted, encountering some hard boundaries that make us rethink our motivations and actions. The Moon is representative of the body, so a harsh aspect to Saturn can put a lot of labor, work, and pressure on our bodies today. Taking care of responsibilities and unpleasant but necessary tasks fills the mood day.
There is a more optimistic aspect that goes exact today, to balance out the melancholic ones: there is a glimmer of hope for Venus. Venus has been moving through the sign of her exile since she entered Scorpio on October 23rd, and she’s encountered lots of harsh conditions throughout her visit here. From being consumed by the fire of the Sun (combust), to being in the sign she’s furthest from home (Scorpio), and being ruled by an erratic, unstable, retrograde Mars, she encountered further debilitation last week from a harsh square to a very sturdy and dignified Saturn. Venus finally connects with Jupiter in Pisces, and it represents a moment of support that Venus encounters since Jupiter is the planet of freedom, liberation, known for restoring the good and condemning the bad, alleviating sorrow and worry. . A planet that is in its home sign connecting with an exiled planet is said by Abu Sa’id Shadhan from Abu Ma’shar to be representative of someone who has disempowered being helped out of their challenging condition. Jupiter is able to help out Venus out of her challenging position. This brings a close to Venus’ transit through Scorpio after going through the wringer, introducing hope, optimism, and an ally to support Venus. Whereas Venus might feel sad, unappreciated, and left out here, Jupiter offers some inclusion, acceptance, and liberation from loneliness. Venus gets to party tomorrow!
Wednesday, Nov 16th
[1:08 AM ET] INGRESS: Venus enters Sagittarius
[7:11 AM ET] The Moon in Leo sextile Mars Retrograde at 23º31’ Gemini
[8:27 AM ET] The Moon in Leo square the Sun at 24º09’ Scorpio
[10:43 AM ET] Mercury in Scorpio trine Jupiter Retrograde 28º53’ Pisces
[6:55 PM ET] The Moon in Leo square Mercury at 29º25’ Scorpio
[8:03 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Virgo
[10:14 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo square Venus at 01º06’ Sagittarius
Wednesday is an incredibly active day in the Astrology this week. We start it off with Venus entering Sagittarius. Moving forward will see some brighter days (literally) as she moves farther and farther away from the Sun, returning to the sky later this month as an evening star. One major aspect of this transit is that Venus will be moving from the sign she’s Exiled in, Scorpio, where the qualities she represents are not respected, such as kindness, softness, soothing tensions, easing fears, balance, equilibrium, justice, fairness, love, and the union between two people. Venus is a planet that brings us all together, through harmony, likes, and our tastes/preferences, Venus shows what we are attracted to, and with Venus in Exiled, it’s been very obvious what we dislike, are disgusted by, and where we feel a lack of reciprocity in relationships. Venus was dealing with lots of secrets, hidden power dynamics, issues with control, domination, and people violating their oaths/agreements to each other. Mars is the ruler of Scorpio, and with it going Retrograde, it indicates that people would be changing sides in partnerships, acting erratic, unpredictable, and unreliable since Mars is moving backwards in the sky. There were 4 conditions of debility Venus was dealing with in Scorpio, and a 5th one you can add on top of that is managing an Eclipse in her sign. These pressures start to wear off as Venus enters Sagittarius, but with it comes some different challenges, such as an eventual opposition to Mars in Gemini.
Venus enters into a Mutable sign, where she is more focused on shifting conditions, changing relationships, being adaptable and flexible. Venus enters into much hotter territory as Sagittarius is a Fire Sign, which brings more expansion, a little more rigidity, and more action + activity. Water signs can be more passive and have a retentive quality to them, and especially Scorpio can be fixed and immobile. However, Sagittarius gives much more activity, energy, and blazes the passions inside of all of us to grow, expand, and to connect to others through our ideas, philosophies, and beliefs with others. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, which is expansive, growth oriented, and removes limitations + restrictions that are set in place. Questions about freedom are all in place as Venus makes her ingress into Sagittarius. Venus also has time to party, have fun, explore, adventure, and go on a side quest.
The Moon will be moving through the later part of Leo, and it encounters a sextile with Mars Retrograding through Gemini, sparking new flames, rising tensions, and adding acceleration to our days. The Moon is heated up by Mars, but then it encounters a harsh square to the Sun in Scorpio. This is the closing square of this lunation cycle, and it represents another pivotal moment in closing/wrapping up Eclipse Season. The Moon is in the 10th sign from the Sun, and it represents a loss of power, confidence, and some release of what these things mean. The Moon is loosing light and getting dimmer. Leo being a sign of recognition, ambition, action, confidence, and radiation finds their light dimmed for a little bit by the erratic actions of Mars. The Moon is in reception with the Sun, even though they’re squared, but the Sun is ruled by a Retrograde Mars in Gemini who is uneven, unstable, and unpredictable. It brings a conflict of willpower and our circumstances.
In the midst of this Leo meltdown, Mercury makes a trine to Jupiter in Pisces. Mercury encountered a harsh aspect from Saturn last week which indicates harsh restrictions, limits, or delays around matters with numbers, data, messengers, mail, and letters. Mercury as a planet of speech and communication is put on mute with this hard aspect to Saturn, or even on block. It shows the need to communicate hard no’s, hard boundaries, and to bring things to a stop. After this harsh aspect, Mercury finds liberation and support from Jupiter in Pisces. Jupiter’s visit back to Pisces is really interesting in the way that its helping out all of these planets after they’ve encountered this harsh square from the Greater Malefic, bringing more fear, seriousness, and contemplation over the past month, and Jupiter helps to alleviate all sorrow. Jupiter doesn’t just help them out, but welcomes them into their home sign right after. This dynamic will definitely change things, but we’ll talk more about that next week. The Moon is not able to witness Jupiter, but it is able to witness Mercury, and a square to Mercury goes exact today. The Moon squaring Mercury brings nervousness, tension with technology, conflicting or aggravating news, and feeling mentally burnt out. Mercury is not in the best of positions since it is Combust and doesn’t have much dignity in the Water Signs, this square highlights where we feel challenged in being able to speak up, share our thoughts, and be honest about our secrets. This tension between Leo and Scorpio is the tension of what is visible and seen versus what is hidden and secret. Leo is the middle of Summer where the Sun is home, strong, and radiant. In Scorpio, the Sun has lost power by crossing the Equinox point (0º Libra), and is getting weaker as the night grows stronger. This tension of Leo and Scorpio is also a conflict in power with the Sun and Mars, both competative and striving for victory, authority, and power, engage in stubborn tension on Wednesday.
Afterwards, the Moon will enter Virgo. Shifting into a Mutable Sign, it requires more flexibility and adaptability for the next few days. The Moon also moves into an Earth Sign which helps to bring grounding with knowledge, information, learning, and with scholars. There is an emphasis on needing facts, details, and precision. The Moon encounters a tight square to Venus freshly ingressed into Sagittarius which can bring romance, love, art, devotion, relationships, and pleasure to the focus of our mind for the rest of the day. Desiring rest, comfort, and leisure while simultaneously feeling unbalanced, a bit lethargic, but also energized and motivated as well too. This tension between needing to rest and the call to adventure polarize our mind on Wednesday. The Moon in Virgo wants to be more discerning and practical with information and knowledge, whereas Venus in Sagittarius wants to affirm and support a perspective, philosophy, and liberation. The signs activated are double bodied, which activate a lot of the flexible and adaptable Mutable Madness configuration we have going on. Especially in the later part of this week.
Thursday, Nov 17th
[3:41 AM ET] INGRESS: Mercury enters Sagittarius
On Thursday, the Moon will still be moving through Virgo, ruled by Mercury, and what a coincidence that Mercury changes signs on this day. Mercury goes from Scorpio to Sagittarius, which is traditionally labeled the sign of their exile. Now Mercury’s exile in Sagittarius is pretty minor, since Mercury is adaptable and able to shift, morph, and embodies a chameleon like nature to the environment it is in. The ancient astrologers understood this placement of Mercury, in the natal chart, to be indicative of someone who is a messenger of the Gods, since it is located in Jupiter’s sign. In the mundane, it can be indicative of messengers, news, and information that is rushed, lacks detail, and something doesn’t necessarily make sense. This might be challenging if you’re a writer or if you’re an accountant— someone who frequently deals with numbers, letters, and the arrangement of them. Checking for typos and errors will help mitigating the influences of the chaotic Mercury. Mercury in Sagittarius is said to be a sign of poets, those who engage with religious texts, reading myths, legends, lore, all of the information related to the divine is found with Mercury in Sagittarius. Mercury shifts from the cold, dark, mute sign of Scorpio where it is fiery, blazed, and loud in Sagittarius. Mercury and Venus will both glance at Mars from the opposition as they make their ingresses back to back, and it adds more tension and friction to the way we communicate. Bringing more arguments, loudness, and words that can harm or hurt. Mercury will be moving together with Venus through the sky, which can help to soothe tensions and calm our nervous system, after it being inflamed by the passions and spreading fire of Sagittarius. One of the issues that Mercury also encounters in this sign is the accepting or belief of information without contradiction and challenge. Mercury is typically a planet of destabilizing perspective, debate, and contradiction but in Sagittarius, beliefs are affirmed, wisdom and knowledge don’t necessarily have to make sense, and there is meaning to be interpreted instead of cold, hard, facts. Mercury can be gullible without the discernment here. Knowledge and accuracy provides precision and clarity for understanding what judgements we can make. But how do we properly understand the dynamics of the different situations we’ll find ourselves in if the details, facts, and information are being blown out or proportion, aggrandized, and exaggerated? Stretching the truth, exaggerating the details, and hyperbole are all in the air. Maybe its a sign to pay attention to those who haven’t been listened to, who have been ignored, and dismissed.
Friday, Nov 18th
[4:11 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo opposes Neptune Retrograde at 22º42’ Pisces
[4:35 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo square Mars Retrograde at 22º54’ Gemini
On Friday, the Moon will bring together the second out of 3 squares that Neptune and Mars will make. The Moon connecting with a malefic planet brings challenges, conflict, confrontation, and raises tensions, especially since Mars is Retrograde. Be careful of injury, physical harm, and accidents since the Moon is representative of the body. The gaze of Mars from the hard aspect brings challenging interactions with the Warrior. It can also be indicative of the body being put under a lot of stress and tension. Its a high energy day, but it can make us feel burnt out and like our energy is zapped. The influence of Neptune for the day adds a feeling of confusion, uncertainty, lack of clarity, and unclear perspective. If things feel very confusing today thats okay. One of the best things you can do under a Mars transit is find some way to release that contained energy, not through reckless behavior. We might finds ourselves being to critical or even judgmental, but both the Moon and Mars are ruled by Mercury in Sagittarius, who is exiled and without resources or responsibility. Make sure you’re checking your details, your facts, and numbers before raising tensions or even getting frustrated. Neptune again makes things very confusing and spreads our energy and focus very thin as it connects with Mars.
Saturday, Nov 19th
[12:00 AM ET] The Moon in Virgo sextile the Sun at 26º49’ Scorpio
[3:46 AM ET] The Moon in Virgo opposes Jupiter Retrograde at 28º50’ Pisces
[5:57 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Libra
[10:43 AM ET] Mars Retrograde in Gemini square Neptune Retrograde at 22º42’ Gemini
[12:52 PM ET] The Moon in Libra sextile Mercury at 03º43’ Sagittarius
[2:15 PM ET] The Moon in Libra sextile Venus at 04º26’ Sagittarius
On Saturday, the Moon will continue to move through the later part of Virgo, and it pulls together the trine between Jupiter and the Sun that goes exact on Sunday. A sextile to the Sun helps to close out this last portion of Eclipse Season and to end the lunation, and the opposition to Jupiter shows conflict with faith, trust, and our capacity to see the good in others. This trine between the Sun and Jupiter provides wisdom, gnosis, understanding, and clarity as to how we can rectify and restore action in the house that Pisces/Aries rule in your chart after Jupiter has been Retrograde in this section of the zodiac since July 28th. Jupiter is able to offer liberation, freedom, joy, and ease of mind. The Moon will then enter Libra, a cardinal sign which stirs up the impulse to initiate action, create new beginnings, and get things in motion. In an Air Sign, it is adaptable, deals with things like communication, socializing, interaction, and in Libra it brings more harmony, balance, a strong sense of justice and fairness into our disposition for the next few days. The Moon will encounter a sextile to both Mercury and to Venus, which highlights the growing conjunction between these two planets. This is a really sweet configuration especially since the Moon is in Venus’ sign and it connects with its domicile lord. There is some gifts that Venus is able to provide us, whether it be smoothness within speech, social situations, romance, flirting, and sweet words. Mercury connecting with Venus is a sign of flirting, sweet talking, persuasive speech, and speech that pacifies or smoothens our feelings. However, it can also introduce complexity to relationships. We find comfort, leisure, pleasures, and laughter as the Moon connects with the heavenly, illustrious, laughing loving queen, by the end of the day. Lots of excitement and hype fill the air today.
Sunday, Nov 20th
[5:18 PM ET] The Moon in Libra trine Saturn at 19º17’ Aquarius
[10:37 PM ET] The Moon in Libra trine Mars Retrograde at 22º16’ Gemini
[11:07 PM ET] The Sun in Scorpio trine Jupiter Retrograde at 28º48’ Pisces
On Sunday, the Moon will continue to move through Libra and it connects with Saturn in Aquarius, which provides us with more seriousness, slowness, and gentle restriction for the day. As the Moon moves through Libra this time, its highlighting where we need to adhere to limits, boundaries, and restrictions especially as the Moon connects with Mars after Saturn. In these brief 5 hours, the Moon will be enclosed between malefics, which can bring tension in feeling balanced and moderated. Saturn can bring us to the extreme of restriction and make us aware of our constraints whereas Mars (Retrograde) can adds more unpredictability, tension, and inflame our mind. We might find that there is more tension within social situations on Sunday and that we are trying to keep the peace. The malefics being the only planets located in Air Signs right now brings extremes of isolation and of exerting action that are all pulled together in a Grand Air Trine on Sunday. The malefics can be harmful, but especially in trines like this, they can also can help mobilize social change and shift the dynamics of how we deal with topics of injustice, fairness, balance, and harmony.
The Sun will make its official trine to Jupiter on this day which can be an omen of good news. Whenever Saturn, Jupiter, or Mars trine the Sun, they either station Retrograde on Direct, so next week we’ll have Jupiter station Direct on the day of a New Moon in Sagittarius. Jupiter has had us go back to Pisces because there is unfinished business in this house that causes some slowness, delays, and interruptions with being able to expand, grow, and affirm the good and support we have in this house. The Sun in Scorpio is able to provide us with much more clarity and bestow confidence to Jupiter. The Sun is the giver of life, it provides the gift of prophecy, confidence, knowledge, and is able to energize and restore action. The Sun in Scorpio gives us insight into the mysteries, the hidden, the unknown, unseen, and all those realms related to Scorpio. Answers are on the way, and Jupiter is able to bring more wisdom, dreams that are more stable and firm, and gives one last parting gift before leaving Pisces. With every new beginning, it must come with an ending, and the transition from Pisces to Aries shows us this exact circumstance.
Exceptional as always :)
