[7:08 AM ET] The Moon in Libra trine Saturn at 18º35’ Aquarius
[12:01 PM ET] The Moon conjoins Mercury at 21º20’ Libra
[7:12 PM ET] The Moon in Libra trine Mars at 25º23’ Gemini
[8:35 PM ET] The Moon in Libra square Pluto at 26º10’ Capricorn
We start off with week with the Moon in Libra, waning and loosing light throughout most of Monday. This week kicks off Eclipse Season as the Moon will be getting closer and closer to the Sun (and Venus) who have freshly entered Scorpio. The Moon will be moving through Libra and it connects with a Grand Air trine this is currently forming in the sky between Mercury, Mars, and Saturn. The Moon in Libra is able to connect with its exaltation lord, Saturn who has just stationed direct after being Retrograde since June 4th, 2022. It’s been a long few months of structure and stability being tested, foundations shaking, and Saturn asking us to think about longevity, durability, and endurance in the house Aquarius rules in your chart. Saturn can give patience, wisdom, and careful deliberation of consequences as it trines the Moon. We may find that the beginning part of this day feels more serious and grave, and then we find a way to use this energy in how we deliver news, communication, and information since the Moon will conjoin Mercury. This is a definitely a day of receiving news, and a lot of it is about relationships, justice, fairness, diplomacy, and maybe there is an element of trickery here. Venus is the ruler of the Moon, and she just slipped into Scorpio after a Cazimi at 29º Libra, moving into the sign she is exiled in, farthest from home, without support, without resources, and inconsistent in her ability to bring about diplomacy, softness, and to ease tensions. The Moon connecting with Mercury gets us talking for the day, and then it urges us to act as the Moon makes a trine to Mars.
As the Moon separates from Saturn and applies to Mercury, it represents the structuring or formalizing of ideas, words, legal documents, and news. This creates or incites some anger/violence/arguement as the Moon makes a trine to Mars, which connects the forming trine between Mercury and Mars. Their connection goes exact after they originally tried to form a connection, however on Sept 9th, Mercury stationed Retrograde at 8º Libra, and switched up on Mars, revoking its aspect. Since then, Mercury has finished its Retrograde and can now make an agreement with Mars in Gemini. Mars in this overcoming trine to Mercury is able to push the nature of Mars’ fire and heat to Mercury, who signifies communication, translation, and language. A very basic signification is our communication and language becomes inflamed, and theres a skillfulness to the roasts. Mercury is said to be malefic when with the malefic planets, and right now Mercury is malefic. It indicates speech that inflames, agitates, and riles up when connected with Mars. It is also indicative of burning of paper, documents, and theft of data/knowledge. Some ancient astrologers say this indicates those who are skilled in matters of war, battles, stratagems, and it signifies planning to fight. They also say it can indicate those who are liars, tricky, and can easily deceive others with their words, as in there is no resistant to the lies being told because theres a trine between these planets, which indicates the ease and free flow of connection between these planets. This gives Mars an easy outlet to release some stress they’re currently feeling in making decisions or having correct information. In another ways, there is reception between these planets which can be helpful, since Mercury is the domicile lord of Mars, it is able to give Mars some clarity of mind and information to help Mars with this contradiction and dispute currently going on in Gemini. This becomes the major focus of the beginning of the week as the Moon passes through Libra, and upon its exit from this sign, it will encounter harsh square from Pluto in Capricorn, which brings tension, power, and control in matters of fairness and justice.
Tuesday, Oct 25th
[3:18 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Scorpio
[6:48 AM ET] ECLIPSE: Solar Eclipse at 02º00’ Scorpio
[8:04 AM ET] The Moon conjoins Venus at 02º43’ Scorpio
Tuesday is one of the bigger days of the week, and of the year, because it features our first Eclipse of Eclipse Season. The Moon will enter Scorpio, and it will conjoin the Sun at 2° Scorpio, right next to Venus in Scorpio. Things are really taking a twist with these new revelations that Venus brought around relationships and partnerships in Libra. That Cazimi in Libra really emphasized the need for fairness, devotion, truth, and intimacy within relationships with Venus being at home, but now that Venus and the Sun have moved into Scorpio, where she is exiled, those themes of relationships are put through the lens of infidelity, breaking oaths, commitments, and the excess of ego or selfishness leading to imbalances in relationships. Venus here in Scorpio can bring up secrets and hidden things that destroy the trust or intimacy between people. This dynamic is especially highlighted as Venus will also be involved with this Eclipse. The obstruction of justice, fairness, and the ability to soothe tensions and to reconcile with diplomacy is casted into shadows, occulted and obscured by the Moon. Not only Eclipsing the Sun, but occulting Venus in the shadows too.
Because these planets are at the same declination, the Moon and Venus will be very tightly conjoined in the sky. Of course this will not be visible because the Sun’s rays overpower and outshine both the Moon and Sun.
Eclipses occur when we have New Moons and Full Moons conjoined to the North or South Node, and for these reasons the Nodes are known as Eclipse points. The Nodes of the Moon are the two points where the apparent path of the Sun around Earth (Ecliptic), and the Moon’s orbit around earth intersect and when they both arrive at the nodes, they arrive at the same latitude, and eclipse each other. The Nodes and Eclipses carry this connotation of obscurity, shadow, and more malefic (synonym, extreme) experiences since this is a point where the Sun and Moon are both deprived of their inherent significations: light. This is a moment where their light is swallowed by the Nodes.
When the Moon gets to the North Node, she is getting farther north (in latitude) compared to the path of the Sun. For this reason, there are connotations of increase, growth, and ambition with this Node, but also illusions, confusion, obsession, and dissatisfaction.
When the Moon gets to the South Node, she is getting farther south (in latitude) compared to the path of the Sun. For this reason, there are connotations of ending, decrease, unseen circumstances, letting go, & release with this Node, but also spiritual fulfillment, knowledge, & liberation.
Eclipse Season is a moment where the Sun and Moon are experiencing a power outage. They never go Retrograde, but they do lose their vitality, energy, and source of strength. When Eclipse season occurs, its a moment where the Nodes to become activated, and its a period where major endings and beginnings take place. Chapters and existing situations in those houses are redefined. Endings with the South, beginnings with the North. A Solar Eclipse will act as a reset or bring an ending, for better or worse depending on the eclipse, since not only is the Sun being occulted, but the Moon has also lost all of her light too and is at the end of her cycle. Its the liminality of a major ending & new beginning. A Lunar Eclipse will act as a culmination of events, since it acts like a Full Moon, but the tension between the Nodes is highlighted since each of the luminaries will be conjoined to one of the nodes. The nature of the culmination will vary on if its the North or South Node. If its with the North Node it will prompt the introduction of new changes into that house, if its with the South Node it will prompt you to release and let go of existing circumstances in that house. Eclipses come in to disrupt the current narrative of that house.
Our Oct 25th Solar Eclipse in Scorpio is conjoined the South Node, which will prompt us to let go, release, and wrap up endings of chapters in that house. The Nov 8th Lunar Eclipse in Taurus is conjoined to the North Node, bringing major culminations & creating new circumstances. Eclipses are connected to the ones in the same series, whether it be 6 months before or after the occur. Fall’s Eclipses are connected to the ones from April/May, specifically April 30th’s Solar Eclipse in Taurus, and May 16th’s Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio.
With this Solar Eclipse, the Moon and Venus are the two planets who are in the signs they mutually find discomfort in, Scorpio. The life giving, abundant, where all life springs from, nature of the Moon and Venus to nourish life is met with things that destroy or harm the flow of life in this martial environment. Scorpio Season is the season where we talk about death, as the leaves separate from the trees, and disconnect from their nourishing life force. A very little interpretation of this is malnourishment of the body, or of the life force, since both the Sun and Moon are having a rough time here loosing their light, not being supported. Venus being Eclipsed has really interesting implications, because it indicates the things she represents being occulted, casted in shadow, and revealed. The Sun is just as illuminating as it is blinding, and here Venus is being scorched. Some ancient astrologers place an emphasis on Venus being especially harmed while under the beams, because it indicates the wetness she provides is being evaporated and dried out. This can be interpreted to represent the drying up of water and moisture. Venus just recently had revelations or made a new connection, agreement, or partnership with the Sun in Libra, but quickly changes dignity, finds herself dealing with new revelations, as a result of the Eclipse, around secrecy, hidden things, and concealment within these agreements, and as a result, Venus does not have incentive to stay committed to these partnerships, and so, because of Mars, there is much more emphasis on conflict, fighting, war, separation, sudden outbursts, and aggression. Mars in Gemini is the ruler of this Eclipse, and they are about to station Retrograde by the end of this week, which represents the intensification of some contradiction, falsity in news, information, education, theft, false testimonies, propaganda, and particularly arguments that lead to tension over justice. This Eclipse in Scorpio is going to contrast to April 20th, 2023’s Solar Eclipse in Aries because even though both planets are ruled by Mars, Scorpio is nocturnal, dark, hidden, and represents the unseen, which is contrasted with the very loud, obvious, aggressive, and action oriented, while the Scorpio waits… listens… and is patient (like a Scorpion), and then strikes suddenly. These are two very different natures to Mars, in Aries it strikes first and initiates the conflict, whereas in Scorpio, Mars is patient, tempers it anger, its plots and schemes, and waits for the right moment to strike. Whether this be rumors, false news, trying to contradict facts or information, the news this Eclipses brings is skeptical contradiction and not to be trusted. This will be the first Solar Eclipse we will have in the Scorpio/Taurus series, and it will also be the last, so it definitely brings a major ending to the house Scorpio rules in your chart. It does put an emphasis on Mars about to station Retrograde and change course, so it indicates the undoing, investigating deeper, and the revealing of Mars’ actions in Gemini, the harm and division that is created over facts and truthfulness of information.
Eclipses will usually take a few months to play out and to see the full effects, depending on where its hitting in your chart. Generally the Eclipses effects should last up until the next season, which is April 20th, 2023 (with another Martian Eclipse, the theme of conflict persists). The Sun in Scorpio is here to illuminate and shine light on what is concealed and hidden during this Eclipse, and with it brings the sting of the Scorpion. While some other resources in the internet might claim this is a more sexy and mysterious time, in all the traditional texts, Scorpio is described as sex that is violating, immoral, involves infidelity, and is scandalous. It is the cheating that happens on a partner, and the betrayal of trust that occurs when one is unfaithful and uncommitted to those they love: this is Venus in Scorpio. Venus finds themself in this environment where they are not mutually or equally respected, and there is a very clear imbalance in the relationship. This is why Venus is exiled in this sign. The martian qualities of self gratification outcast the needs, desires, and upholding of trust and commitment in the relationship that is fortified by Saturn in Libra.
Wednesday, Oct 26th
[2:30 AM ET] The Moon conjoins the South Node at 13º21’ Scorpio
[9:34 AM ET] The Moon in Scorpio opposes Uranus Retrograde at 17º28’ Taurus
[11:29 AM ET] The Moon in Scorpio square Saturn at 18º35’ Aquarius
[11:36 PM ET] Mercury in Libra trine Mars at 25º31’ Gemini
On Wednesday, the Moon will be moving through the middle of Scorpio after Eclipsing the Sun and the only other aspects she will encounter is a square to Saturn and an opposition to Uranus, which highlights the ongoing Saturn/Uranus square which is definitely tight in orb, and activated. The Moon squaring Saturn after being Eclipsed definitely talks about permanent endings, sometime death, especially since the Moon represents the physical body who is already challenged in Scorpio, but now encounters a harsh aspect from a malefic. This can show issues or challenges with rulers, older people, the extremely wealthy and the poverty, and dealing with issues of scarcity, lack, and shortages in things needed to support and sustain us. Scorpio typically does get the connotation, actually both of the malefics do, of drugs and medicine because the antidote is in the poison. This could talk about the potential poisoning of a ruler since the Moon is in poor condition and encounters another harmful obstacle. I bring up poison just because Scorpio usually has that connotation, but it can also talk about food, crops, or other things that have life spoiling and going bad. However, the square to Saturn also does indicate harm brought to the body. The opposition from Uranus creates disruption, unexpected events, and the shaking of foundations and structures, which has been echoing ever since Saturn enter Aquarius in March 2020.
On Wednesday, Mercury’s Day, Mercury makes an exact trine to Mars, which, as I’ve mentioned before, can talk about those who plan battles, fights, stratagems, conflict, are strategic, liars, and those who share false rumors and false information. This could lead to legal tensions and trouble as Mercury is in Libra, the sign of lawsuits, lawyers, and I have definitely seen Mercury in this sign be a significator of those arguing in defense of another, like a lawyer. Mercury may have to be defending Mars’ harmful actions, since it is ruled by Venus in Scorpio, who is ruled by Mars in Gemini. We get this interesting triple dispositorship between these planets active until Saturday when Mercury enters Scorpio. This definitely looks like trickery, scheming, and theft, whether it be ideas or actual documents. This connection between these planets can also indicate someone who is working with fire, iron, or medicine, since these are also represented by Mars, and the Mercury component adds skill and the application of knowledge.
Thursday, Oct 27th
[6:54 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Sagittarius
[7:01 AM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius trine Jupiter Retrograde at 00º03’ Aries
[9:08 AM ET] Mercury in Libra square Pluto at 26º12’ Capricorn
On Thursday, the Moon ingress into Sagittarius after leaving behind the Eclipsed sign, and it will begin to glance at a few other planets in the sky. Such as Jupiter in Aries from a trine. The Moon is currently in Jupiter’s home, Sagittarius, which is Mutable Fire, the mutability adds inconsistency, change, and adaptability to the way the fire blows today. In Jupiter’s sign, Sagittarius represents fire that spreads and grows, expanding and reaching far and wide. Jupiter is especially emphasized today as over the next 2 days, Jupiter will re-enter Pisces coming back for round three out of three. One interesting feature about this Sagittarius Moon is that it will actually contact its domicile lord TWICE! Once today when it trines Jupiter, affirming action, affirming perspective, and action, it brings much more loudness, focus on philosophy, knowledge, and seeking to create peace and joy, and what solutions can be enacted to get there. There is a lot more action, fire, and initiation that comes from this fire sign, and when the Moon gets to the end of this sign, it will square Jupiter, who has moved back into Pisces. Two interactions with Jupiter emphasize the double bodied, shifting nature of this transit. Starting off receiving wisdom and knowledge, dealing with lawfulness and wanting righteousness, and then ending with tension and conflict with the truth, challenges with honesty and morals, and tension in expansion/growth. Today can be an optimistic day, and it allows us to obtain answers and engage in more moral conscious after the heavy secrets have been revealed in the previous sign. The Moon in Sagittarius is asking what is the right thing to do? How can we be honest, truthful, and be swift in action is what the Moon asks today. Definitely a day for lots of insight. However, Mercury will make a square to Pluto upon its exit from Libra, and this shows information about secrets, unfair power dynamics, corruption in government, and buried feelings being brought to a culmination as Mercury is in the 10th sign, overcoming square, to Pluto. Power dynamics and control over information is what is shown here. This is the last of the Libra planets to make aspects to Pluto on their way out, and it definitely signifies tension in justice, fairness, and legal matters. This tension will continue to rise as the Moon presents the emergence (since the Moon is new) of an equal challenge to Mars in Gemini.
Friday, Oct 28th
[1:09 AM ET] INGRESS: Jupiter re-enters Pisces
[2:16 PM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius sextile Saturn at 18º36’ Aquarius
[9:37 PM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius square Neptune Retrograde at 22º59’ Pisces
On Friday, Jupiter re-enters Pisces bright and early which is a big transit considering Jupiter does not frequently change signs. Jupiter typically changes signs after 11-12 months, around 1 year, but since it stationed Retrograde on July 28th, it began to go back into Pisces. There are a few ways to interpret this, but Abu Sa’id Shadhan and Abu Ma’shar claim that when a planet Retrogrades back into a sign that it has rulership in, it is like someone who was about to encounter harm upon their journey, but was interrupted by someone or some obstacle, and as a result they avoid the danger that was lying ahead for them. This is definitely a good position of dignity for Jupiter to be in, especially since Jupiter brought lots of heat, fire, and competition. Jupiter operates through the Martial, initiating conflict, expansion, and new beginnings, but Jupiter is going to take a dip back into the watery, mutable, and wise territories of mystery and contradiction. Jupiter in Pisces puts an emphasis on the topics of peace, inclusion, acceptance, and affirmation within a collective sense of community. Pisces and Sagittarius tends to be concerned with things as a whole, and how things are included. Jupiter will only Retrograde back to 28º Pisces, so its only taking a little dip back into this sign. The Sun in Scorpio will trine Jupiter in Pisces, so the nature of this re-entrance is for clarity, insight, revelations, and ultimately to know the truth. Jupiter is the planet of faithfulness, truthfulness, when people make an oath, a vow, and a promise to each other, and in Pisces, the details are foggy and hazy and so is our feelings of forgiveness due to corruption with the truth. Jupiter enters Pisces and it glances at a square to Mars in Gemini. The combination of Jupiter and Mars indicates “evil hearts in men of piety and justice and in those who are believed to have righteousness” according to Ibn Labban’s Introduction to Astrology. There is also an emphasis on there being an abundance of water, since Jupiter is in a water sign. The need for more flexibility, changeability, and to adapt to the change circumstances of what faith, honesty, trust, and peace mean. Pisces has the ability to bring things together, but it also has the ability to end things. After the pain in Scorpio, we find that is transmuted into wisdom in Pisces.
This is Jupiter’s last round in Pisces, and it will stay here until December 20th, 2022 when it will re-enter Aries. Jupiter stations Direct at 28º Pisces on November 24th, in just a month, so a lot of these next few weeks will be about revisiting the topics represented by the house Pisces rules. While Jupiter in Pisces early in the year (Dec 28th, 2021 to May 10th, 2022) would’ve brought more haze and uncertainty, even a sense of wandering, aimlessness, and lack of direction, Jupiter has more clarity on what actually brings joy, what visions and dreams for the future actually do bring peace, and balance. Pisces is very much associated with balance, peace, and comfort due to this being Venus’ exaltation, and Jupiter wants us to revisit these things. The Sun in Scorpio will trine Jupiter in Pisces which will cause Jupiter to station Direct, so this news of Jupiter re-ingressing into Pisces can be positive especially since planets at their second station can indicate the restoration of life, rectification of matters that were delayed, and more clarity with the confusion Jupiter would’ve brought here while Retrograde, or needed to review. Jupiter will be back at home and it brings a more collective, communal, indulgent, vibe, but only for a short while, then its back to fighting and being loud in Aries. The events that took place in the first week of May (May 3rd to May 10th) may be relevant for and have to be relooked at for the entire month of November. The truth, honesty, and faith represented by Jupiter being challenged by violating promises, being disloyal to agreements, and misinformation being represented by Mars in Gemini. It seems like trying to get a group together to fight or protest. Jupiter can indicate communal or collective things, and when paired with Mars it is fighting, being loud, and Jupiter amplifies Mars’ loudness. Its giving gladiator, and I’ll tell you, Jupiter has the upper hand (literally; overcoming Mars). These two planets will be in this ongoing tension throughout the entirety of Jupiter in Pisces, however they will actually never form an aspect. It’s almost as if Jupiter’s Retrograde is going back to spread joy, trust, and happiness back to something Mars has torn apart, when they conjoined on May 29th, 2022 at 3º Aries. This tension of them in a square aspect opens up in November 2022 but will be felt again in May 2023 when Mars enters Leo and Jupiter enters Taurus and they officially square off. There is this fight that is trying to be formed between these planets, but theres a lot of inconsistencies and delays each planet is dealing in the mutable signs of Gemini and Pisces. These signs will eventually become more relevant and important in the next few years (specifically 2024 when Saturn is in Pisces and Jupiter is in Gemini), and ultimately what these signs speak about is the relationship between the mind’s ability to learn and to ponder wisdom and contradiction. Gemini gives us the facts, conversations, details, and is able to communicate and articulate their ideas really well, and Pisces gives us a more quiet expression, the place where Mercury doesn’t like to be, facts and details are blurry, and one could even say Mercury is gullible to information that isn’t fact checked. Discernment becomes hazy in Pisces, but in Gemini, Mercury is not afraid to argue and point out contradiction. Jupiter affirms perspectives and beliefs, whereas Mercury contradicts and argues. This tension between the religious and the scholar is what is signified here. The scholar with Gemini, education, libraries, teachers, places of learning, are in tension with specifically Christianity (as symbolized by Pisces), religious sects, political ties, and courts.
We’ll definitely be discussing Jupiter’s ingress more as the weeks pass by. After the Moon is done running through a good part of Sagittarius without aspecting a planet, it encounters Saturn, which adds some somber, melancholy, and seriousness for the day. Saturn is able to provide wisdom, patience, and to slow down. The Moon will then conenct with Neptune, which can make things feel foggy, hazy, and confusing, especially since Jupiter is back in Pisces too. Take it easy and center yourself in what is grounded in reality. Neptune has a way of making shit… weird.
Saturday, Oct 29th
[1:59 AM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius opposes Mars at 25º36’ Gemini
[8:33 AM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius sextile Mercury at 29º31’ Libra
[9:09 AM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius square Jupiter Retrograde 29º53’ Pisces
[9:21 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Capricorn
[3:22 PM ET] INGRESS: Mercury enters Scorpio
[8:20 PM ET] The Moon in Capricorn sextile the Sun at 06º33’ Scorpio
[11:40 PM ET] The Moon in Capricorn sextile Venus at 08º33’ Scorpio
On Saturday, the Moon will separate from a square (90º) to Neptune, and then oppose Mars in Gemini. It’s very interesting to see the Moon’s progression through this sign because traditionally, the first part of Sagittarius (0 to 15 degrees) is said to be more human, inclined towards reason and compassion with others, agreeable, and cheerful. The Moon connected with Jupiter in this first part, and by a trine (120º) which allowed for more acceptance towards others and ability to moderate the flames of one’s spirit. But in the second half of Sagittarius (15 to 30º) was said to be feral in addition to all of Leo. Ancient astrologers understood this last half to exemplify the other side of the double bodied sign, representing half human and half centaur. They interpreted it as out of control, untamed expression, and visceral reactions. Medieval Islamic Astrologers followed the tradition of the Hellenistic Authors and assigned rulers and royalty to represent Leo and Sagittarius, and but for the Islamic Authors they were fearful to accept rulers under these signs as they could be out of control with their power, ferocious, and lack restraint, causing harm from recklessness. This is important information because the Moon is in this last part of Sagittarius where it meets an aggressor: Mars. Mars rubs the Moon the wrong way, and maybe says something the Moon doesn’t like, and they get into this heated and intense debate, fight, or conflict. This interaction with Mars is especially important because it is the first interaction she is having with the Ruler of the Solar Eclipse in Scorpio earlier in the week. This Eclipse portended for omens of conflict, disputes, and contradiction and we see those fights actually come to light once the Moon opposes Mars. This is most certainly a moment for fights, aggression, agitation, loud noises, sudden outbursts, and potentially untamed expressions. Be careful of physical fights and injuries, especially while traveling.
After the intense night the Moon is able to sextile (60º) Mercury and it makes us very chatty, engaged in conversation, and seeking to rationalize our mood after feeling very inflamed and provoked by Mars. This can represent the obtaining of documents, getting a message, letter, facts, or information that help bring understanding. The best way to avoid intense transits like this is to not be reckless in your actions. Keep your self restraint, thats why the Moon sextiled Saturn earlier. The news is coming. As the Moon is connecting with Mercury, it also makes its SECOND aspect to Jupiter, but this time from a square (90º), and this is where we find tension within faith, contradiction within truth, and the tides definitely turn. There can be a little confusion, especially as the Fire gets “put out” so to say. An aspect to Jupiter can always be a positive and helpful, especially since Jupiter is the domicile lord of the Moon, there is good reception here. You know truthfully, I’m a little confused on what Jupiter’s doing here. The Moon is in agreement with Jupiter one day, and then they’re in conflict the next because Jupiter changed their mind about what their motives and intentions are. Its all about peace, love, happiness, indulgence, and bliss, but the Moon clearly sees the agitation and aggression. Mutable Madness kicking in: you never know who’s on who’s team.
After the Moon is done traversing through Sagittarius she enters Capricorn, where after feeling stressed out, inflamed, and then Jupiter bringing the wetness, she takes on a much more drier and colder tone in Capricorn, governed by Saturn who has now officially stationed Direct, there is much more firmness, certainty, and sobriety about what actions need to be taken. The Moon connects with both the Sun and Venus in Scorpio, which opens up this lunation cycle with the luminaries connecting via sextile, but again this lunation is an Eclipse, so this is the opening of the events connected to the Eclipse we will start to watch unfold. The Moon emphasizes a slowness, tiredness, and somber feeling to the day, but still retaining the dry quality from the Fire element, feeling abrasive, physically depleted, and undernourished. Moisture, drink water, hydrate, and put on lotion. This imbalance in power that was signified by Venus and the Sun is now brought into light as the Moon can finally connect with them, however she won’t connect with any planets for another 21º degrees of the zodiac, so she can technically be void. The Moon brings no laughing matters in Capricorn, but maybe in private. There are plans, plots, and schemes that are to be thought through. Capricorn usually talks about secrets, or restraint in sharing knowledge, and the connection to the Sun in Scorpio is an illumination of the unknown or unseen.
Sunday, Oct 30th
[9:25 AM ET] STATION: Mars station Retrograde at 25º36’ Gemini
On Sunday, Mars officially stations Retrograde, and the previous day Mercury also enters Scorpio, where it will now be in an interesting dynamic with Mars in Gemini. Mercury is in a direct link to Mars since they’re in each other’s signs, so they’re mutually helping each other out. Mercury in this sign by the ancient astrologers was a symbol of fraud, deceit with numbers, facts, information, and theft since Mercury was in the sign ruled by Mars. Mercury is cunning, tricky, but hidden, unseen, and waiting for the right time to strike. This dynamic takes a twist as Mars is now Retrograde, which can delay fights, prolong conflict, and reveal hidden plots. We might have these revelations at the next Eclipse on Nov 8th, since this is when Mercury will conjoin the Sun for an Exterior Conjunction. This could indicate something related to spying, theft of documents, knowledge, information, trickery and deceit with telling the truth about corruption in relationships since Venus and the Sun are also ruled by Mars. This will be the only aspect taking place for the day as the Moon is running through the void, but this is definitely a day where we see arguments, contradictions, disputes, tensions over accuracy of knowledge, and harm in the education space. Mars will have us go through this extended review for the next 2 months, and it will station Direct on Jan 12th, 2022. The next 2 months will be spent reviewing the house Gemini rules in your chart and parsing out who or what is causing conflict, challenges, and aggression in your life. Mars will indicate a deeper review on what needs to be separated, split, and divorced for better or for worse based on what was done since Aug 20th, 2022 when Mars initially ingressed into Gemini. Looking back on our actions and the events that have gone on since then will help us understand where things didn’t make sense. It may be somewhat of a confusing week, and there is a lot of mutable, changeable, astro-weather going on. It’s best to ride the wave, but keep your balance firm and steady. There’s lots of twists and chaotic energy at every turn when you pair this with Eclipse Season. Lots of major purges, endings, and letting go of things initiated this week that start playing out as the week progresses. Mars breaks the rules at the end of the week, revoking its aspect from Jupiter, and realizes it cannot fight two battles at once. Gemini is known as a mutable sign, or double bodied sign, and Mars here can indicate fights/conflict coming in pairs or in twos, and having to make choices on which fights are worth it. Mars has lots of responsibility for the chaos in fairness, diplomacy, and trust between people being ruined, and a lot of it has to do with the lies Mars has been yapping away in Gemini, which will now have to be reviewed, and held accountable once Sagittarius Season starts up. We will continue to cover this Retrograde in the weekly and monthly editions over the next few months.
