Introduction
Welcome to the Week Ahead Horoscope everyone! Some updates
I don’t have a graphic for yall this week. Venus is under the beams heavily and Im bored of my old graphics and not sure what new design I should do. I’m actually really leaning towards taking my graphics out of the newsletter only because Im not sure how useful they are and I think it is also very important to have the entire chart, so I think I may just stick to the chart of key moments in the week.
I have only 3 consultation slots left for August! If you’re interested in booking a consultation, soon is definitely the time to do so. I will be traveling in September so I won’t have as much avaibility as expected. Work is also starting up soon so avaibility is already limited. Use code FULLMOON for 15% off your next consult.
Monday, August 7th
[2:24 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Taurus
[11:45 AM ET] The Moon in Taurus sextile Saturn Retrograde at 05º16’ Pisces
[5:40 PM ET] MANZIL 4: The Moon enters Al-Dabaran 8º34’ Taurus
To begin this week, the Moon will enter Taurus bright and early in the morning. She enters into the sign of her exaltation which is a favorable start to the week. The Moon represents everyone, the people, and populace so we look towards her motion to understand how we all develop, shift, ebb, and flow in our thoughts, manerisms, moods, disposition, and the flow of events. Without her, there is no celestial influence that becomes ensouled. Connections with the Moon represent ensouling of moods, thoughts, and events that we observe in our daily life.
When the Moon comes into her exaltation, the people are happy, joyful, and serene. The fixity of the Moon makes the next few days about firming, solidfying, and enduring actions. The Moon is also in her triplicity (Earth signs) while give her support from her friends, allies, and supporters. Her first application will be to sextile Saturn in Pisces. Saturn is a malefic planet, so it has the potential to bring delays, sluggishness, and inactivity. The Moon in Taurus values comfort, leisure, and coziness and Saturn is the planet of lethargy and sleep. This aspect may make us feel tired and unmotivated and it is a slow start to the week. Saturn brings a tinge of seriousness and melancholy while sending its rays towards the Moon. The slowness of this configuration is especially felt today as it is the only one that goes exact today.
The Moon be crossing through her 3rd Mansion, al-Thuraya, while this configuration perfects. The 3rd Lunar Mansion, according to Al-Buni’s Shams Al-Ma’arif, is said to be great for works that assist women, sucess and extra profits in travel, meeting with kings, wedding, and make talismans. Everything that is devised in this mansion is said to flourish and prosper. Use this mansion to assist in your workings and actions for today. The Moon will then cross into the 4th Mansion, al-Dabaran where it will remain until tomorrow evening. When the Moon crosses into this mansion, the deeds it is appropriate, according to Al Buni, are burying the dead, burying teasures, hiding secrets, digging wells, and crossing rivers. The spirit that descends for this mansion is said to spark enmity, hatred, and corruption, so it is advised to beware of seeking out your needs or beginning new things. Talismans are not advised to be fashioned either as everything will be ruined.
Tuesday, August 8th
[1:09 AM ET] The Moon in Taurus trine Mercury at 12º43’ Virgo
[4:10 AM ET] The Moon conjoins Jupiter at 14º23’ Taurus
[6:28 AM ET] The Moon in Taurus square the Sun at 15º38’ Leo
[10:46 AM ET] The Moon in Taurus trine Mars at 17º59’ Virgo
[5:07 PM ET] MANZIL 5: The Moon enters Al-Haq’ah 21º25’ Taurus
[8:20 PM ET] The Moon in Taurus square Venus Retrograde at 23º10’ Leo
On Tuesday, the Moon will seperate from a sextile to Saturn and apply towards Mercury in Virgo. This is a favorable configuration as there is connection between two planets in dignity from a place of friendship. The Moon is a planet who talks about revelation and reveals all that is hidden, and Mercury’s significations are oriented towards writing, books, reading, and studious activities. The Moon in Taurus trine Mercury shows revelation of knowledge, it is good for studying, learning crafts and skills, success in education, divination, and technology. The Moon brings solemn, sincere, and thoughtful insights. The more potent aspect that goes exact today is a conjunction between Jupiter and the Moon that perfects shortly after the Moon seperates from Mercury. This is a bodily connection between the Moon and Jupiter, and conjunctions will always be stronger than aspects, which mean to witness or gaze. While Mercury gazes upon the Moon, it is Jupiter who the Moon unites with. The Moon conjoining Jupiter is a fortituious omen, and it has a lot to do with the connection of Mercury and Jupiter, expansion of knowledge, learning, education, devotion to writing, writers, and studying. Jupiter is the planet of generosity, expansion, liberation, and freedom and the Moon connecting with the Greater Benefic provides protection, support, and aid. This is really supportive for friendships and creating intimate connections. Use this conjunction for matters around technology, teachers, and learning that you want to flourish.
After the Moon conjoins Jupiter, it will make a square to the Sun in Leo. The application of the Moon to the Sun becomes more tense as our willpower and circumstances are thrown in tension with each other. The Sun in a square shows challenges with authority figures, entertainers, rulers, and eminent individuals. The Sun is said to be malefic in the square, opposition, and when planets are drawn near to it. The Sun and Moon in square show strife, contention, opposition, and challenge. The Sun and Moon are both equally strong without reception, so expect the tension to be stubborn and unbending. Be mindful of excess dryness in people’s manerisms and disposition. After the Moon squares the Sun, it will then make a trine to Mars in Virgo. Mars brings swift action, impulsiveness, and sudden disruptions as this goes exact. Inflammation can arise from excess friction can escalate tensions. Fights and conflict are also forecasted through the influence of Mars. Be mindful of plots, sedition, and theives.
After the Moon seperates from Mars, she will cross into the 5th Lunar Mansion, Al-Haq’ah. This mansion is said to be both auspicious and inauspicious. It is fortunate for distilling and devolping poisons, but Al Buni adivses that planting crops, wearing new clothes, marrying, spiritual workings, and working with the Sun and Moon are inauspicious during this time. The Moon will remain in that manzil throughout the rest of the day and for the greater portion of Wednesday. After the Moon seperates from Mars, which stirs up enmity between people, the Moon squares her domicile lord, Venus. Venus is not in the best of conditions this week and she’s actually under the rays of the sun the entire week. Venus is currently invisible in the sky. The Moon is not actually able to witness or cast rays towards Venus because the Sun catches them, however the connection still perfects. Be mindful of challenges within relationships, instability and unexpected disruptions in friendships, challenges, disputes with women, and injury from drinking and overindulgence. Venus throws things out of equilibirum for the Moon as she crosses the later half of Taurus.

Wednesday, August 9th
[9:05 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Gemini
[5:11 PM ET] MANZIL 6: The Moon enters Al-Han’ah 4º17’ Gemini
[6:45 PM ET] The Moon in Gemini square Saturn Retrograde at 05º07’ Pisces
(8:47 PM ET) Mercury in Virgo trine Jupiter at 14º31’ Taurus
On Wednesday, the Moon will cross into Gemini, changing the pace of our collective disposition over the next few days. The Moon crossing into a double-bodied sign makes the next few days liable to change, fluctation, inconsistencies in action, and feeling scattered thin. The Moon will enter an Air sign, which is very fortunate for social relationships, sending messages, speaking, and learning. The Moon enters Gemini fairly early in the morning, but she will not cross into the 6th Lunar Manzil, al-Han’ah, until later in the day. Once she crosses into this Manzil, the spirit that aligns in this manzil is said to be fortunate according to Al Buni. It is advised to visit kings and notables, start workings to fulfill your wishes, wedding, building buildings, measure weights, travel, taking medication, buying and selling, buying horses, and planting trees. Al Buni advises that this is a good time to do workings of affection between people, love, burn sweet incense, being with bretheren and being open to notable people’s money, wealth, and their circumstances.
As the Moon ingresses into this sign, she will make an application to Saturn, who witnesses her with a harsh gaze from a dominating position. Saturn is in the overcoming square to the Moon. This brings a sense of solitude, isolation, lethargy, burdened with labor, and being halted by restrictions today. Saturn brings a hard delay and prevents communication, connection, and conversation from moving forward. This aspect will be applying throughout the entire day, and it is the only aspect of the Moon today. Be mindful of depression, sorrow, grief, lamenting, and isolation.
The other aspect that goes exact today is between Mercury and Jupiter. Mercury perfects its trine to Jupiter in Taurus today which is a really interesting configuration. Mercury is witnessing a lot of planets in the sky while visibile as an evening star in Virgo. It can witness Saturn from the opposition and is moving towards Mars in a conjunction. Typically this would be understood as a besiegement since the presence of the 2 malefics brings harm and thrwarts action towards Mercurial things; technology, scribes, writers, children, youth, and scholars. The opposition to Saturn portends for restrictions, in learning, around youth, and education while the conjunction to Mars shows fraud, conspiracy, corruption in numbers, corruption of documents, technology, and written things. This is a very tense position for Mercury to be in, and truthfully it speaks to what is happening in the sky right now with the whitewashing of history in Flordia’s department of education and new standards for curriculum, as well as the banning of AP Psychology. The harm, corruption, and sedition is clearly mirrored through these alignments. There is some hope to this challenging configuration though. Instead of applying towards a conjunction to Mars, Mercury first encounters a trine to Jupiter in Taurus. This was actually not the case for Mercury’s trajectory since Mars was originally Mercury’s next application after opposing Saturn, but since Mars trined Jupiter, it became the next trajectory for Mercury since Mars is in later degrees (18º) than Jupiter (14º). This means that whatever harm is indicated by this besiegement will be broken up by Jupiter. Mars and Saturn are malefic omens that stir up hatred and enmity between people, but Jupiter is like a peace-maker, breaking up conflict and hostility and providing aid to Mercury. Jupiter in the overcoming trine shows liberation and freedom from the intervention of just actions. Jupiter brings generosity of knowledge and the removal of whatever limitations Saturn has set in place. This aspect will be felt all week but most intensely on Tuesday and today.
Thursday, August 10th
[2:02 PM ET] The Moon in Gemini square Mercury at 15º11’ Virgo
[5:48 PM ET] MANZIL 7: The Moon enters Al-Dhira 17º08’ Gemini
[7:36 PM ET] The Moon in Gemini sextile the Sun at 18º05’ Leo
[10:27 PM ET] The Moon in Gemini square Mars at 19º33’ Virgo
On Thursday, the Moon will continue to move through Gemini and its next aspect is a square to Mercury in Virgo. The Moon will move through a challenging part of Gemini as it transfers the hostility and restriction from Saturn over to Mercury. Limitations found on books, reading, education, and children are especially felt today. The Moon is ruled by Mercury so connecting with its domicile lord is favorable, but the aspect is tense and create enmity (square). This connection can be fortunate because Mercury in Virgo is in their exaltation, exact and precise in calculation, learning, and knowledge. Use it for correcting erros, mistakes, and for seeking exactness. Mercury stimulates the mind and can cause it to waver through this square since the Moon is double-bodied. The Moon is connecting with Mercury right near their exaltation degree, and the Moon is in the 10th from Mercury— it signifies making writing, learning, and documents public.
The Moon will enter the 7th Lunar Mansion, Al-Dhira, and this mansion is said to be fortunate and yielding according to Al Buni. The virtuous spirit that decends encourages studious behavior, beginning studies, virtious deeds, congregation in houses of worship, meeting with scholars and the pious. Meeting with scholars is actually a perfect act for this square. It is also suitable for making talismans, visiting kings, communicating with nobles and brethren.
The Moon will sextile the Sun after it squares Mercury and this is a fortunate aspect that affirms the significations of meeting with kings and nobles today. This is a good day to approach those who are powerful and eminent once this sextile perfects. The Moon is assisted by the action, knowledge, and wisdom of the Sun. What can be challenging about what follows is that the Moon will then apply to a square with Mars in Virgo. This is an aspect that brings strife, gossip, rumors, corruption, plots, and schemes. Be mindful of those who fake friendship especially as the Moon is in Gemini and those who trangress boundaries. The Moon and Mars in this hard aspect creates hostility, conflict, and spurs aggression between people. This can also indicate harm towards technology, documents, and the body. Be mindful of injury of the hands today. Today ends in confrontation.
Friday, August 11th
[2:51 AM ET] The Moon in Gemini sextile Venus Retrograde at 21º49’ Leo
[6:52 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Cancer
[6:52 PM ET] MANZIL 8: The Moon enters Al-Nathrah 0º00 Cancer
To begin the weekend, The Moon will continue to move through Gemini and it makes a sextile to Venus. As we mentioned earlier, Venus cannot recieve the rays of the Moon because she is very combust currently. While this is an aspect of friendship, it is also not something Venus can actively engage in. It can bring friendship but with unreliability and inconsistency. Again, because Venus is severely combust this week and moving into the heart of the Sun, she is not in the best of condition to bring friendship that is reliable, stable, and firm. Be mindful of also indulging in substances that are harmful towards the body, since Venus is the sign of indulgence but severely corrupted.
The Moon will then cross into Cancer later in the day which changes the vibe for the weekend. The Moon enters a Tropical sign, which brings more swift actions, changes, and beginnings. Tropical signs are great at initiating action but have difficult in sustaining it, so be mindful of impulses as the Moon moves into her quick changing domicile. The Moon gaining more dignity is favorable since she represents the people, and the people are comfortable, amongst their clan, safe, and protected. The Moon will cross into the 8th Lunar Mansion, Al-Nathrah, which is said to be of mixed fortune. Al Buni tells us that the spirit that alights in this mansion creates ruptures, enmity, and hatred. They advise that it is favorable for making talismans to imprecate enemies, trangressors, and foes. It is not advised to do works related to the Sun and Moon, visit kings, making impliments of war, or taking council for war. It is advised that this mansion is only used for destructive work and fending against enemies. The Moon will not connect with any planets today but she will apply towards a trine to Saturn in Pisces, perfecting tomorrow.
Saturday, August 12th
[4:37 AM ET] The Moon in Cancer trine Saturn Retrograde at 04º56’ Pisces
[8:18 PM ET] MANZIL 9: The Moon enters Al-Tarfah 12º51’ Cancer
On Saturday, the Moon will be moving towards Saturn in Pisces early in the morning. This will be the only aspect the Moon makes today and it brings lethargy, delays, sluggishness, and slows down our actions a lot. There is quite a bit of degrees between Saturn and the Moon’s next application so this tiring influence can be felt all day. Saturn introduces melancholy, seriousness, and confusion into our morning. After the Moon seperates from Saturn, she will apply towards a sextile to Jupiter in Taurus which is extremely favorable this weekend.
The Moon will cross into the 9th Lunar Mansion, Al-Tarfah, which is said to be inauspicious by Al Buni. He mentions that the spirit of this mansion is similar to the previous one— do not construct talismans, make anything, or visit kings. Love and wisdom are not found while the Moon is here and it is not advised to recite oaths. Solitude is the advised action for today. The Moon trining Saturn also makes solitude, loneliness, and isolation a very pertinent theme today. The stillness and quite of Saturn yells throughout the echo chamber of the Crab’s shell.
Sunday, August 13th
[12:05 AM ET] The Moon in Cancer sextile Jupiter at 14º45’ Taurus
[5:25 AM ET] The Moon in Cancer sextile Mercury at 17º26’ Virgo
[7:15 AM ET] CAZIMI: Venus Retrograde conjoins The Sun at 20º28’ Leo
[12:56 PM ET] The Moon in Cancer sextile Mars at 21º11’ Virgo
[9:00 PM ET] MANZIL 10: The Moon enters Al-Jabhah 25º42’ Cancer
To end the week, the Moon will apply towards a sextile to Jupiter early in the morning. This can be felt throughout all of Saturday and the beginning of Sunday. This connection is very favorable and is known as Reception by Honor: when both planets are in each other’s exaltations. This is exactly the case we have here: Jupiter is in the Moon’s Exaltation (Taurus) and the Moon is in Jupiter’s exaltation (Cancer). Reception by Honor is used for electing cities. The gifts of the two planets are said to have been exchanged here— the Moon’s safety, nourishment, and protection with Jupiter’s piety, faith, trust, devotion and interpretion of omens/dreams. This is supportive for connecting with friends, groups of people, intimate circles, and those who you cherish. The Moon will translate light between Jupiter and Mercury, and witnesses both planets from a sextile. This bridges their trine together that went exact early in the week. This connection of Mercury, Jupiter, and the Moon is very favorable for learning, education, studying, meeting with teachers, scholars, judges, lawyers, and those who are devotional/religious. The Moon sextiling Mercury is great for sending out letters, messages, and communications. After the Moon sextiles Mercury it will then sextile Mars, which can speed up action and energy. Mars can be a planet that motivates us to act and move forward with things, but it can also be a planet that inflames, irritates, and agitates us. The Moon is connecting with Mars from the sign where Mars is fallen in, so this may reflect in feeling emotionally provoked, boundaries transgressed, and anxiety from being thrown out of your comfort zone. After the Moon seperates from Mars, it will connect with no other planets afterward for the right of the transit through the sign. The Moon is loosing light this entire week and by the time sunday comes, she will be just a sliver in the sky.
The Moon will enter the 10th Lunar Mansion, al-Jabhah, which is said to be both fortunate and unfortunate but inclined towards wholesome works, says Al Buni. He advises that beginning workings for affection will be fortunate, as well as visiting kings, treatments, and moving from place to place. It is advised to not tailor clothes or wear new clothes.
As this is all going exact, Venus enters the Heart of the Sun today, which is a notable transit for this ongoing Venus Retrograde cycle. She has been invisible in the sky this entire week and this is honestly one of the more challenging weeks for her Retrograde. Planets who are Retrograde are seen to be unreliable, confused, and inconsistent but another affliction of being under the beams overwhelms Venus by the harsh rays of the Sun, her functions of being able to bring balance, harmony, peace and unite people together are noticably gone in our experiences this next week. When a planet disappears from the sky, there is something symbolic about their influence not being visible in the sky, shining bright. In fact, Venus has been getting a lot dimmer over the past few weeks. Whenever she conjoins the Sun while retrograde, this marks the halfway point in her Retrograde cycle, and marks an important shift in the ongoing story she is developing through her motion. Retrogradation harms Venus two-fold because of her backwards motion and the beams, but even more so because she intially was with Mars in Leo. Moving forward, Venus will shift to a Morning Star as she moves ahead of the Sun over the next few weeks. Her meeting with the Sun is said to be significant because it is the resetting of her cycle. A Cazimi is likened to someone who is sick and then takes a purgative that cleanses them of the illness, however they are not recovered. This is important to distinguish because Cazimi is often labeled as a condition that strengthens a planet, but I disagree. The planet is in the middle of the rays of the Sun, in the heart of combustion. The conjunction to the Sun acts as a purification and can also instill more energy and vitality into Venus’s significations as she gets ready to emerge from the other end of the beams of the Sun as a morning star. Important revelations around relationships, partnerships, and union become realized and clarified today. What important decisions are made today will become revealed by the time Venus exists the beams, with more energy, vitality, and vigor.
