Week 25: June 2023, Week 4 - The Week Ahead Horoscope
Saturn and Jupiter make their sextile right as the Sun enters Cancer, ushering in the Summer Solstice. Mercury and Mars make a sextile together this week which quickens the pace of EVERYTHING.
Weekly Graphic
Hello everyone! Welcome to this week’s edition of the week ahead forecast. I’ve been a little inactive on Twitter and even here lately. I’ve been dealing with a lot of burnout in June after finishing work at my day job (in education), but I’m finally starting to find a groove to work through for the summer. Speaking of Summer, July 2023 will be the only month this year I will be completely open for consultations, as school starts back up again in August, so if you’re interested in booking a consultation, now is the time!
Consulation prices have also changed for me as well as length of consultations. My standard rate has changed to $185 USD for 90 minutes. I kept running into issues where I needed more time to be with my clients to give all the information necessary, so my standard has been changed to 90 minutes for almost all natal consultations. As always, if you are in need of sliding scale payments or accomodatios, please email me!

[8:05 AM ET] MANZIL 9: The Moon enters Al-Tarfah 12º51’ Cancer
[11:53 AM ET] Jupiter in Taurus sextile Saturn Retrograde at 07º12’ Pisces
To start off this week, the Moon will be moving through Cancer, but will be running through the void during this time. She will not aspect any further planets as she moves through Cancer. This void will last throughout all of Monday and all of Tuesday. This void moon is 60 hours long so it is a noteable period of inactivity, nothing coming to fruition, aimlessness, and general lack of action. The Moon is said to be the celestial messanger, bringing down the light from the celestial sphere to the sublunar realms, and when she connects with a planet, it signifies an event, but when she runs through the void, it is significant of nothing coming of the matter. It is advised to not begin or continue any activites with the expectation of the moving moving forward or being completed over the next few days. It isn’t until Wednesday that we start to see some momentum pick up in the activity during this week. The Moon will be void in Cancer, a water sign, so this nature of this void is more relaxing, rest, and indulgence oriented. Water posesses the qualities of coldness which is retractive and wetness which is fluid and adaptable. There is inclination towards rest, desiring comfort, and leisure over the next few days. The Moon will also be traveling through the 9th lunar mansion throughout the entire day. Al-Buni advises that it is better to be alone rather than others while the Moon is traveling through this mansion. He also mentions that this mansion provokes enmity, hatred, and ruptures. He also advises to not reciete oaths while the Moon is in this mansion. The theme of being alone is also prevelant as the Moon is quite literally on her own swimming through the waters of Cancer. The Moon will emerge from the beams of the Sun tonight and be visible in the western horizon during sunset (local time) today! Definitely a sight worth seeing.
Today, Jupiter and Saturn make their official sextile in the sky. The cycle of Saturn and Jupiter will play out over the course of 20 years, when their conjunction occurs. In their cycle, there are a few different points to observe to understand how larger shifts in the world play out over time. One of them is the conjunction of these two planets, but also the aspects they make to each other, notabley the sextile, square, trine, and opposition within a 20 year period. They will show us the exposition, beginning, and revelation of new beginnings signified through the conjunction. Think back to December 2020. Where were you then? The conjunction would’ve taken place at 0º Aquarius. Saturn has since moved on from Aquarius and entered Pisces, and Jupiter has now entered Taurus. Think about the houses these two signs rule in your chart. This will help you be able to understand where Jupiter is offering support, help, and aid to the burdens signified in the house Pisces rules in your chart. Saturn is often a planet who can signify burdens, delays, obstacles, long term and chronic challenges, decay, confusion, obscurity, lamenting, fear, and anxiety, but Jupiter’s significations are about removing limits, restrictions, affirming and supporting, growing, improving, and supporting. Since March 2023, Saturn in Pisces has brought more burdens to this house, or has brought more enduring and long term situations depending on the sect of your chart, and Jupiter now is able to alleviate some of those burdens, since its connecting with a planet in its own house. The two slowest, visible, planets connecting with each other in aspects like the sextile don’t happen so often. This is the beginning of a 20 year cycle globally from 2020-2040. This cycle connects our lives to how it exists in the mundane and larger scale of life— societies, cultures, religions, and dynasties.
Tuesday, June 20th
[9:31 AM ET] MANZIL 10: The Moon enters Al-Jabhah 25º42’ Cancer
[6:04 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Leo
On Tuesday, the Moon will still be moving through Cancer, slowing down as she approaches her apogee. She will be moving through the later part of Cancer, and enters the 10th lunar mansion, Al-Jabhah. Al Buni says this mansion is fortune and unfortunate, suitable for moving from place to place, visiting kings, and beginning workings for affection. The signification of kings, celebrities, notable figures, and entertainers becomes a more important theme as the Moon enters Leo. The Moon moves into a fixed sign which stabilizes and firms our actions and behaviors throughout the day, but the Moon in a fire sign can inflame action, bring more activity, and energy to our bodies. The Moon is increasing in light, and similarly we can feel our energy increasing in our bodies. The Moon will not connect with any planets today, as it moves through Leo, but will be slowly applying to square Jupiter tomorrow morning. The Moon is very slow in degrees by this point, so expect the vibe of the day to still be slow and delayed.
Wednesday, June 21st
[9:14 AM ET] The Moon in Leo square Jupiter at 07º34’ Taurus
[10:57 AM ET] INGRESS: Sun enters Cancer
[11:16 AM ET] MANZIL 11: The Moon enters Al-Zubrah 8º34’ Leo
(11:22 AM ET) Mercury in Gemini sextile Mars at 18º39’ Leo
[11:08 PM ET] The Moon conjoins Venus at 14º27’ Leo
On Wednesday, the Moon in Leo will make a square to Jupiter in Taurus. The Moon in Leo demands to be seen, recognized, casts attention and spotlight. The Moon’s influence in Leo is a lot softer compared to the Sun, since the nature of the Moon is to soften the light of the Sun. The Moon’s square to Jupiter in the 10th house from its position in Leo indicates public matters, success, achievement, honesty, and victory. This would not happen without strife, challenge, and frustrations since the aspect is a square between these planets. Jupiter’s influence removes limitations, affirms our desires for recognition by curating and bringing beauty, material luxury, and sensuality. Right after the Moon squares Jupiter, it will be enclosed in between the rays of the benefic planets, since it will be applying towards a conjunction with Venus right after. The Moon enclosed between benefics denotes safety, protection, support, and affirmation. It’s as if we’re coming from one supportive interaction and moving towards another affirming interaction. The Moon will enter the 11th Lunar Mansion, Al-Zubrah, which is said to be good for buying, selling, visiting kings, officials, and chieftains according to Al Buni. He also mentions it is good for traveling, great works, and wearing new clothes. Success from judges, laywers, courts, teacher, mentors, and interactions with the like can be found today. The Moon conjoining Venus signifies the union of people, love, romance, creativity, art, flirting, dancing, drinking, banquests, weddings, and all that is Venusian expressed today. The commitment of oaths signified by Jupiter, and binding together through love with Venus.
As this is all going on, the Sun enters Cancer, marking the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. The Sun entering Cancer urshers forth a culminating moment in the spring where the Sun enters the active, initiative, and wet sign of Cancer. Bringing us to be more in tune with our feelings, comfort, and sense of security. The Sun in Cancer will bring some very interesting revelations and news as there will be a Mercury Cazimi in Cancer, where Mercury enters into the heart of the Sun for a renewal and purification, although it may be a little harsh. Saturn will also witness the Sun from a trine, which slows down activity, brings delays, and brings the challenges of Saturn into further awareness over the next month. The Sun can also now witness Jupiter too, so the development and story of both Saturn and Jupiter’s sextile that took place at the beginning of the work has more action, authority, and momentum with the Sun looking at these planets.
Additionally, Mercury will make an exact sextile to Mars in Leo today, which is a more intense, harsh, aspect for Mercury to be making. Mars is a malefic planet, and it agitates whatever it contacts. With Mercury, Mars inflames our communication, speech, and Mercury makes deception and lies intelligible by connecting with Mars. Mercury and Mars are making an aspect of friendship, so it can show people who plan battles, strategies, and are competative making strides. Mercury and Mars together also show knowledge over fire, iron, and the casting of metals. Mercury provides skill over the knowledge of heat and fire by connecting with Mars. It can make our mind move quickly and sharper, with more abrasiveness and friction because fire has dryness. Mercury communicates all of the brash, cocky, and competative energy of Mars in Leo not just today, but throughout the entire week.
Thursday, June 22nd
[8:41 AM ET] The Moon conjoins Mars at 19º11’ Leo
[11:51 AM ET] The Moon in Leo sextile Mercury at 20º45’ Gemini
[1:14 PM ET] MANZIL 12: The Moon enters Al-Sarfah 21º25’ Leo
On Thursday, the tone in the sky will shift as the Moon seperates from a conjunction to Venus and applies to a conjunction with Mars. The Moon and Mars are said to be enemies and their meeting brings opposition, fights, rumors, lies, violence, and conflict into our sphere. Mars has the effect of emboldening our hearts, trangressing boundaries, and in Leo making things public and loud. The Moon conjoining Mars can signfy physical injury from fire and hot things, excess of dryness, swiftness, and urgency of action. It is advised to restrain yourself today if you feel frustrated, and to be mindful of loss of control of anger/frustration. I saw this quote come up on my feed the other day and I thought it was very fitting for this type of transit, especially as all of these planets are really calling us to be competative, enact our anger, and transgress our boundaries.
“Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger."
Sahih al-Bukhari 6114, Book 78, Hadith 141
After the Moon and Mars shake up things on Thursday morning, disrupting our day, inflaming our energy with the excess of fire, the Moon will then connect with Mercury in Gemini, which is highlighting a lot of the connection these two planets made yesterday. The quickness of mind, firmness in action, and inflaming quality of speech all become evident. Mercury gives us an opportunity for dialogue, conversation, and to talk about the conflict that happened previously. This aspect is supportive because Mercury is making an aspect of friendship, but the heat is still turned on all the way from Mars. Conjunctions are much more powerful than aspects, which is sight, and the conjunction to both Venus and Mars pulls their connection and story together over the entirtiy of these next few weeks. This conjunction of the Moon in Leo acts as the inception of major changes within relationships, partnerships, and connections—especially in a public realm since Leo is celebrities, entertainers, and those who work in public professions. Venus is the unifier of relationships (who is getting ready to go Retrograde here on July 22nd, she entered shadow, the degrees of the zodiac she will eventually return back to, this week on Monday June 19th), and Mars is the severer of connections, spliting people apart, and casuing hatred or violence between them. Major alliances and dynamics of allies and enemies are decided through this Leo Moon. The Moon will then enter the 12th Lunar Mansion, Al-Sarfah, which is said to be auspicious in nature. Al Buni tells us that it is not suitable for crafting, treating illness, doing spiritual workings, and inauspicious for visiting kings. However, it is good for making implements of war, bearing weapons, and to ride horses.
Friday, June 23rd
[6:35 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Virgo
[10:24 AM ET] The Moon in Virgo sextile the Sun at 01º53’ Cancer
[3:16 PM ET] MANZIL 13: The Moon enters Al-‘Awwa 4º17’ Virgo
[9:07 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo opposes Saturn Retrograde at 07º10’ Pisces
[10:53 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo trine Jupiter at 08º02’ Taurus
On Friday, the Moon will then enter Virgo and makes a sextile to the Sun in Cancer upon its ingress. The Moon in a mutable sign brings fluctuations and shifts in our mood and attitude, whereas the connection to the Sun starts things offer with recieving affirmation, acknowledgement, spotlight, and achievement. The Moon will then enter the 13th Mansion, Al-’Awwa, which is said to inflame passions and make people fall in love with each other. Al Buni tells us that it is good for embarking on studies and learning things, wearning new clothes, and tailoring clothes. However, it is advised to NOT fight enemies, dispute, or prosecute, not crafting precious stones, or visit kings. The Moon will then oppose Saturn which hints at themes of rejection, blockages, delays, and challenges with elders, older people, and a lack of action. Saturn makes us feel more sluggish and presents clear obstacles in our way especially since they just stationed Retrograde. This will last for most of the day since the Moon is still slow, but just barely picking up speed. The day will feel long and exhausting due to Saturn’s influence. The Moon will then find an alleviation from these burdens and obstacles because it will make a trine to Jupiter in Taurus. The trine is an aspect of friendship and it indicates removal of limits, freedom, liberation, and joy that is found after the hardship and restrictions.
Saturday, June 24th
[5:15 PM ET] MANZIL 14: The Moon enters Al-Simak 17º08’ Virgo
The Moon will not connect with any other planets today after it seperates from a trine to Jupiter, which shows success, achievement, joy, and liberation. The Moon will continue to move through Virgo, which is supportive for writing, reading, learning, and philosophy. She will then enter the 14th Mansion, Al-Simak, which is said to be a destructive mansion according to Al Buni. Not a good mansion for doing benefic works, buying, selling, or bartering. However it is said to be appropriate for mixing deathly poisons together in this mansion. Because the Moon has a little while before it can reach another planet, a full 24 hours, I advise that today be a day of rest, doing nothing, and if you are going to be taking activities and doing deeds, they need to be Mercury related. Virgo is a sign related to dancer, cooking, singing, urges of intercourse, theatre, pleasures— mainly because Venus has a decan, bound, and triplicity dignity in a good portion of Virgo. The Moon will be making a square to its domicile lord throughout the entire day, but will not connect with Mercury today, so be mindful that developments, stress, and anxiety could build up throughout the day as this application forms, but more clarity will be found on Sunday when the Moon perfects its connection with Mercury.
Sunday, June 25th
[1:25 PM ET] The Moon in Virgo square Mercury at 27º13’ Gemini
[6:57 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Libra
[6:57 PM ET] MANZIL 15: The Moon enters Al-Ghafr 0º00’ Libra
The Moon will be applying to a square to Mercury in Gemini throughout the entire day, which is its domicile lord, and I see this connection as very supportive because Mercury is in the 10th sign from the Moon, which is also its lord, indicating that the thing culminating in this moment is some news, information, books, learning, and education during this time. It is a really auspicious connection for doing writing, reading, speaking, and anything related to business, trade, divination, and astrology. Mercury stimulates our mind and gives us lots to think, talk, and discuss. Mercury can bring some stress since the aspect is a square, and a square brings tension, so be mindful of feeling distracted, scattered, and maybe a little overwhelmed mentally because Mercury is entering into the beams of the Sun, becoming hidden underneath the bright rays the Sun cast. However, the Moon will enter Libra and it brings more activity, action, and swiftness into the air since the Moon enters a Cardinal sign. She emphasizes the connections and relationships we make as she enters into Venus’ sign, but also brings justice, balance, fairness, harmony, compromise, delegations, and diplomacy to the forefront. THe Moon will enter into the 15th Lunar Mansion, Al-Ghafr, which is said to be a fortunate mansion. Al Buni tells us that it begets love, amicability, ease, and benevolence from kings. Its suitable for anitdotes and that deadly poisons dispell their harm, making talismans, and spiritual healing. The Moon will make a square to the Sun in Cancer, which can bring tensions in balance, justice, and fairness as the Sun dominates in a square over the Moon. The lunar month that began last week starts to open up a lot this week, and we really see a lot of the LEEEOOOO drama that this sign has to bring. With the Moon making this square to the Sun, the quarter moon signifies this month’s challenges and action that will lead to the Full Moon by July 3rd.
