This week brings in a bunch of new changes now that Mercury has ingressed into Gemini. Along with it is a New Moon in Gemini and Saturn stationing Retrograde, until November 2023.

Monday, June 12th

[7:53 AM ET] MANZIL 2: The Moon enters Al-Batin 12º51’ Aries

[8:35 AM ET] The Moon in Aries trine Mars at 13º15’ Leo

On Monday, the Moon will continue to move through Aries and it enters into the 2nd Lunar Mansion, Al-Batin. This mansion is said to be the belly of the Ram of Aries, and is marked by 3 shining stars in an equilateral triangle according to Al Buni. In Islam, al-Batin is a name of Allah which means the one who is hidden from perceptiable senses. For this reason this mansion can incline one to spiritual and esoteric arts of uncovering the unseen. Al Buni tells us that the spirit that descends when the Moon is in this mansion is virtuous for doing works, talisman, beginning of study, making seals, sigils, and spiritual healing. He also mentions this is a good time to keep your enemy at bay. The belly of the Ram is indeed a tender place. The Moon will make a trine to Mars while it is in this mansion, which can provide energy, vitality, and motiviation as Mars is the ruler of the Moon. The Aries Moon provides swiftness, urgency, and action through this trine, but it also inflames and causes increase in heat and dryness. The Moon will then make a sextile to the Sun in Gemini which is supportive especially for seeking out knowledge, studying, and learning. This is also good for honors, achievement, and success especially since the Sun is the exalted lord of Aries, and the Moon is making a connection with both planets who govern the sign.

Tuesday, June 13th

On Tuesday, the Moon will continue to move through Aries, but early in the morning ET she enters Al-Thuraya, which is the mansion of the Pleiades. Al Buni tells us this mansion is good for travel, it is good to meet with kings or write to them, and to marry. The 3rd Lunar Mansion is also said to be good for the aquisition of all good things. It is good for spiritual and estoric matters, like making talismans. Al Buni also mentions that this mansion is good for tyring to make extra profits. He states that everything done in this mansion will flourish and prosper. The Moon will then enter Taurus, into the sign of its exaltation where the sense of serenity, good fortune, ease, and comfort can especially be felt. The Moon enters into an Earth sign which cools down the energizine nature of the Aries/Fire energy over the past few days. She will retain the dryness due to the Earthy nature of this sign, but increase in heat due to the conjunction to the North Node at the end of the day. This can cause lethargy, a sense of feeling tired, exhausted, and needing more rest, relaxation, and comfort. The Moon will be at her exaltation degree today too, so it portends for more success, accomplishment, and achievement found today. The Moon will also be applying to conjoin Jupiter all day, even though it goes exact tomorrow. Jupiter will remove restrictions and limitations that are found in our way.

On Wednesday morning, this aspect between the Moon and Jupiter goes exact, and they have a cute little conjunction at 6º Taurus. Jupiter is the liberater of binds, restrictions, and blockages that Saturn sets in place. Jupiter gives us more optimism, hope, and alleviation from the burdens and heaviness that can be felt. Success, achievement, and praise are most felt in this aspect. This is also good for learning, spiritual, and esoteric pursuits since Jupiter signifies piousness, devotion, and religion. Jupiter also has significations for justice, law, and taking oaths here too. The Moon and Jupiter make this a conjunction of honesty and revelations around the truth. Collective victory and triumph that make the people happy is signified by this transit. What liberates and provides alleviation from burdens is informed by the connection of Saturn and Jupiter which is what the Moon highlights today. The Moon is passing through their larger connection that goes exact next week. Abu Ma’shar tells us that the sextile or trine of Jupiter and Saturn indicates “the appearance of propagandists, kings, nobles, prophecy, revelation, and secrets.” The conjunction that occured between Saturn and Jupiter in December 2020, the inception and beginning that these planets started with changes in law, religion, political power, and shifts we will have relevations around this upcoming week. Some big stuff going on in the mundane sphere y’all. The Trump indictiment seems to be VERY loud and telling through this aspect. The Saturn/Jupiter conjunction in Aquarius was one ancient astrologers used to show usurpations, which is exactly what Trump did on Jan 6th, 2021 and planned an insurrection after he lost the 2020 election, only a few weeks after the conjunction went exact. Further relevations around this can be found this week, in the mundane.

The Moon also makes a square to Venus today which can bring a push of energy towards our moral values. Venus shows what we like, what we are attracted to, what brings balance, equillibrium, and justice. There will be tension and strife with justice based off of moral values since the Moon is in Taurus and Venus is in a hard aspect. The nature of this configuration is stressful, but that the benefic influence of Venus can be felt throughout the day. It can make us a little more tired than usual, fixed, firm, and unshaking in our opinions. This is also a favorable connection for artistic and creative pursuits because the Moon is in the 10th sign from Venus. This square will also be mixed with the influence of Mars because the next aspect the Moon makes is a square to Mars in Leo, which brings fights, conflict, outrage, and sparks violence between people. Interestingly enough, the Moon will move into the 4th Lunar Mansion, Al-Dabaran, which is a very different nature than the 3rd. Al-Dabaran refers to the Eye of Taurus, which is bright red, kind of like Mars, in the sky. Planets, stars, and their colors are also important for interpretation too, the red qualitiy of this star brings an inflaming and confrontational nature the star. Al Buni tells us that when the Moon is in this mansion, it sparks hatred, enmity, and corruption throughout the lands. There is weariness in starting new things, and making talismans is not advised. The actions that are said to be favorable to take are burying the dead, hiding secrets, digging wells, and crossing over rivers. The Moon moving into the mansion of the Bulls eye while squaring Mars does seem like a very confrontation and aggressive interaction that bubbles towards the end of the day. With the Moon squaring Venus, we may feel challenges in our partnerships, friendships, and agreements but Mars may make us need to severe ties, engage in conflict, and competition. It is advised to avoid conflict during this time and to only move slowly, with tact, and precision. Mars can be reckless, so reckless actions are not advised. This square will be felt all night and is the last aspect the Moon will make while in Taurus. Beware of thieves, boundaries being transgressed, and harm while traveling on land.

Thursday, June 15th

On Thursday, the Moon will continue to move through Taurus and it enters the 5th Lunar Mansion, Al-Haq’ah. This mansion is thought to be the star at the head of Orion. The mansion is said to be both auspicious and inauspicious. It is said to be good for distilling and developing poisions. It is advised to not plant crops, do not wear new clothes, do not marry, or do spiritual workings. The Moon will be void during this time, and it will not connect with any other planets. It is advised to rest, relax, and not have any expectations of events progressing today. The Moon will enter Gemini later today, where it will be moving towards a conjunction to Mercury in Gemini all of Thursday into Friday. There will be a shift that causes us to be more communicative, chatty, conversational, curious, and causes inconsistencies to occur. The Moon will highlight the larger connection between Mercury and Saturn on Friday, but the exact square between these two planets happens today. Now Saturn is stationing Retrograde this week, so the effects of Saturn bringing delays, slowness, confusion, and heaviness in its nature are felt a lot this week. The influence of Mercury ingressing into Gemini gives clarity of knowledge, the ability to communicate, translate information, and sharpness of memory. Saturn in Pisces is in an overcoming square to Mercury in Gemini, which indicates that the influences of Saturn, delays, restrictions, binds, and blockages can be felt the most when dealing with conversations, communications, and the topic of our conversations. Saturn may show that details, facts, and lines have been blurred, but Mercury is more powerful in this square. Saturn may try to impose limiting and restrictive beliefs/ideas onto Mercury, but that is contested with the arguementative and debatable nature of Mercury with facts, clarity of details, and knowledge. Mercury gets their facts straight this week, and it causes serious conversations to arise. Potentially about creating and setting limits, dealing with burdens and what weighs on our soul, and feeling restrictive in what we can say. The square from Saturn can bring excess contempelativeness, and censorship among writers, authors, and educators. Mercury helps to parce out more of the details surrounding Saturn’s station this weekend as it makes an exact square.

On Friday, the Moon will continue to be in Gemini. In an Air sign, it provides more sociability, conversation, and communicative focus towards our interactions. In a mutable sign, plans, conversations, and circumstances are subject to fluctuation, change, and maybe even cancellation. The Moon’s first aspect it makes into this sign is an overcoming square from Saturn, which makes us very aware of the limitations, restrictions, and burdens that restrict our conversations, knowledge, and access to information. The Moon will enter into the 6th Lunar mansion before this occurs, known as Al-Han’ah, which is said to be the stars of the feet of Gemini. Al Buni favors this mansion and says its good for love working and for affection. Visiting kings and nobles is good during this time, especially for being open to their power, wealth, and circumstances. He mentions its a good time to be with friends, and bretheren. This is even more supported by the time the Moon gets to Mercury towards the middle of the day. Expect news, information, conversation, and Hermes to stir up business during this day. The Moon will also make an important connection to Venus today, which is further highlighted by Mercury who makes their exact sextile to Venus tomorrow. It’s like Mercury encounters restrictions with Saturn, but then moves over to Venus offering help, aid, knowledge, and guidence. This Mercury in Gemini transit has a very mixed start— it carries restrictions and burdens, but followed by support, allys, and talks of compromise + unity. The Moon seperating from Mercury to Venus is really supportive for love, relationships, and the smooth talking that is needed to be persuasive and shine your inner light.

On Saturday, the Moon will then make a sextile to Mars in Leo, which can inflame and agitate our conversations a little more in the day. The sextile is an aspect of agreement and friendship, but be weary of feeling impulsive, a little abrasive, and less agreeable. Mars demands urgency and swiftness of action, in regards to messages, letters, and communications with the Moon in Gemini. Minor cuts and burns to the body can also be indicated since Mars is a planet of injury. The Moon will then enter the 7th Lunar Mansion, Al-Dhira, which is said to the stars of Castor and Pollux in Gemini, but connected to the Forearm of another celestial Lion in the sky. Al Buni says this mansion is favorable for spiritual healing, beginning studies (Mercury’s influence), virtuous deeds, gathering in houses of worship, and meeting with scholars and the pious. It is favorable for making talismans. Right as the Moon ingresses into this mansion, the sextile between Venus and Mercury go exact today. This is a day of fortune news from scholars, those who are intelligent, learned, and devotional in nature. There can be friendship, persuasion, and sweet-talking that occur from this connection. Mercury gives the gift of knowledge, memory, and translating that to others to be seen public or recieve praise with Venus in Leo.

Today is also the day that Saturn stations Retrograde in the sky. Saturn will be Retrograde from June 17th until November 4th, 2023. This means Saturn will be moving backwards through the zodiac, from 7º Pisces to 0º Pisces in this time. Think about what has happened in the house Pisces rules in your chart when it ingressed on March 7th and all the developments that have happened since then. Saturn stationing Retrograde signfies this first introduction of delays, challenges with endurance, and unreliability due to confusion and stagnantion found in the house Pisces rules in your chart. A planet stationing Retrograde is always seen to be important, but for Saturn and Jupiter, their cycles occur frequently and annually so it is expected. Saturn stationing Retrograde is this moment where Saturn starts to undergo more hidden, secret, and obscurity in its ability to bring about endurance and longevity, and it can actually signfy the breaking down of structures. A very literal experience I had last year when Saturn stationed Retrograde was that my fridge broke (the thing thats supposed to keep everything cold=Saturn). Retrogradation is viewed as a planet being unreliable in its testimony and that it brings inconsistencies or confusion in understanding events that occur, but the addition of rebellious qualities since it changes motion in the sky. This feeling of Saturn stationing is felt all week but comes to a culmination on Saturday. Abu Ma’shar says that if Saturn is Retrograde in Pisces, it indicates death occuring to the nobles, priest, religious and corrupt priests.

After the Moon sextiles Venus in Gemini, it will then set beneath the rays of the Sun, becoming hidden, invisible and loosing all of her light. The energy this week is waning and decrease throughout the week but reaches its lowest and inactive point on Sunday. The Moon concealed beneath the beams of the Sun is good for doing things in secret, to have your actions concealed, and hidden. This is a time of retreat, but major decisions, changes, and initiations are started today as the conjunction of the Sun and the Moon indicates major action, change, and beginnings for the month. This lunation can be very supportive for Mercurial topics since the ruler of this lunation is Mercury. This can show the beginning, inception, and start of things related to writing, speaking, communicating, learning, writing, technology, education, money, and divination. These are all Mercury related topics, and especially since Mercury is in a very swift position while transiting through Gemini, expect a lot of news or developments to occur in the house Gemini rules in your chart, especially if you’re in Gemini Profection Year/Month or Gemini is Rising in your Solar Revolution for the year. This lunation brings the spark of a lot of new ideas, new knowledge, and collaberations since Venus is in a supportive aspect to Mercury.

In terms of world astrology predictions, I mentioned earlier that the death of nobles would occur with the Retrograde station of Saturn in Pisces, according to Abu Ma’shar. I think this is further confirmed by the chart of the lunation being Pisces Rising, with Saturn on the Ascendant. The people this lunation will impact are nobles, priest, the religious, sailors, people at sea, fishermen. I wonder if this will also signfy disruptions with traveling by sea. This also makes sense because the ruler of the lunation is Jupiter in the 3rd house of travel, transportation, and short-distance travel. The religious theme also makes sense since the 3rd house represents things like temples, sacred rites, mosques, and practice of faith found in the 9th house. Pisces also signifies poets and those who make clothes. Maybe the news of a famous clothing designer passes? These would be particularly older people since Saturn is the significator in Pisces. The lunation is located in Gemini and ruled by Mercury, which signifies this lunation could also impact teachers, accountants, dancers, educators, librarians, people working in tech, queer + LGBTQ+ community, children, and youth. In terms of where this would impact. Venus is also making an exact sextile to the ruler of the lunation, so the introduction of some diplomacy, aid, compromise, and action is found after the restrictions, limitations, and burdens that are signified by Mercury seperating from a square to Saturn. Technically the next aspect that Mercury will make is to Mars in Leo in the 6th house, which can talk about illness that people signified by Mercury will come into contact with. The connection to the nose of the Lion denotes forcefulness and boldness. The Moon will be making a fortune connection to Jupiter in Taurus which brings optimism, wisdom, learning, knowledge, comfort, relaxation, and the company of good friendship. The Moon is in her home and recieving the support of Jupiter in her exaltation (Taurus). The Moon will also make a trine to Saturn who slows down and presents delays today. Taking it easy and taking it slow, paying attention to your needs, and what brings you comfort + rest is important for today. Also thinking about safety and protection are themes that come up too. Generally most of these configurations are favorable today, and more renewal in our activity is felt throughout the day as the Moon continues to gain light.
