Monday, April 10th
[9:48 PM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius trine the Sun at 20º55’ Aries
[10:55 PM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius trine Jupiter at 21º33’ Aries

To start off the week, the Moon will be transiting through Sagittarius yet again. The Moon moving through mutable signs will be challenging for the next few years because Saturn will make a hard aspect every time to the Moon, bringing delays, blockages, restrictions, and rejection. In this case, the Moon is separating from a square to Saturn in Pisces, which can indicate feeling restricted, limited, and optimism being squandered by the pessimism of Saturn. Both of these planets are in signs ruled by Jupiter, which brings influences of feeling free, liberated, optimistic, and joyful, but the influence of Saturn shows rigidity, limitations, and obstacles that prevent the desires of the Moon (the masses). These feelings will still linger from the Moon and Saturn into Monday. This can also make us feel tired, and exhausted, and brings a sobering feeling to the day. The Moon will move from Saturn to the Sun and Jupiter today. The Moon will make an exact connection to these planets towards the middle of the night ET, and it provides much more support compared to the harsh aspect to Saturn. The Moon makes trines to both the Sun and Jupiter, both planets that are important this week because they will conjoin on Tuesday. The Moon in Sagittarius highlights this connection and brings its influence into manifestation on Monday. The Moon in a trine indicates support, friendship, and alliance between the planets. Any time the Sun and Moon are in a good aspect, it is an omen of ease of action, agreement, and revelations, as the Moon is in the 9th sign from the Sun. Usually, the things that were in culmination during a Full Moon, further information and understanding become revealed at the waning trine, the first time the Sun and Moon aspect each other since the lunation. A lot of the themes are around leadership, law, and matters of liberation & freedom since this is Jupiter we’re talking about. Saturn making a square into Sagittarius shows that this is a sign of the times for the next 3 years where these Jupiterian influences are restricted and blocked. However, there is some new spark of leadership and action that comes as the Moon makes a trine to Jupiter, its domicile lord. This connection is favorable because the Moon is able to find some support from Jupiter to manage the challenges that Saturn brought. Where there might be restrictions in one manner, Jupiter comes to alleviate the sorrow that Saturn creates.
Tuesday, April 11th
[12:47 AM ET] INGRESS: Venus enters Gemini
[1:33 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Capricorn
[6:07 PM ET] CAZIMI: The Sun conjoins Jupiter at 21º45’ Aries
[8:07 PM ET] The Moon in Capricorn sextile Saturn at 03º48’ Pisces

On Tuesday, Venus will leave Taurus and enter Gemini. Venus was previously moving through her domicile, Taurus, where the qualities of what she represents— justice, harmony, compromise, diplomacy, etc.— are all elevated and supported. Venus is well-equipped and well-resourced to deal with bringing nourishment, support, fairness, and firmness into our lives over the past month. Venus moves into a different environment in Gemini and one that has since changed since Saturn entered Pisces. Venus enters an Air sign which is in accordance with her nature as a Wet planet. Venus in Gemini for this reason gives more adaptability, fluidity, and smoothness to our social interactions. Gemini is an Air sign so it carries the signification of being social, friendly, and talkative. Venus brings more lubrication to our speech and our persuasion. Venus is a planet of relatability and shows how we are able to relate and connect with others, and in Gemini, a lot of that is informed through how we communicate and speak with each other. Venus has an objective to bring people together and is often signified as an event planner, people who organize events, and unifies people together. In Gemini, it’s all about ideas, how we connect, and how we speak to each other. In the sign of Mercury, this can talk about things like social media, tech, and the influence this has on our ability to connect with each other. Venus will encounter a square to Saturn in Pisces pretty quickly upon its ingress. This indicates there will be some restrictions, blockages, and things preventing us from being able to communicate or connect with each other. The enthusiasm of Venus in Gemini becomes dampened by the seriousness and grave nature of Saturn. This interaction can be challenging for love and relationships as well. The key is to assess which partnerships are showing you signs that they are enduring or long-term, who is serious about them, and which ones will endure. This will require you to think about the future and act with deliberation, considering the consequences carefully. Venus will set this as the tone for the next month.
The Moon will leave Sagittarius after finding a sense of liberation, freedom, and optimism about action to take in the future and it enters Capricorn, the sign where it is Exiled in. Planets in Exile are said to be in the opposite sign from their domicile, and here they are said to be the furthest from their home and are in a place antithetical to their own nature & essence. The Moon is a planet of growth, it is changeable, nurturing, and quick to change, while Capricorn as a sign is more restrictive, militant, dangerous (due to the influence of the malefics), and barren compared to the Moon’s home, Cancer. The tension of Cancer and Capricorn is between what is soft, tender, and protective, versus the destructive nature of the world, limitations, and force. Cancer and the Moon signify life, whereas Saturn is the signifier of death. The Moon entering into Capricorn brings more solemnity and seriousness to our disposition. The Moon makes a sextile to its domicile lord, Saturn in Pisces, which provides support from elders, older people, the dead, history, and things of the past. Capricorn as a sign draws attention to what is hidden, what is buried, and what is ancestral and Saturn represents old things. Saturn gives us an opportunity to slow down, pause, and contemplate in the first part of the transit, since Mars glances at the Moon in opposition, signifying conflict and adversity. The Moon will enter into besiegement since it will apply from the aspect of one malefic to another, signifying moving from something slightly delaying to adversity and strife. The Moon in besiegement can indicate fear, worry, and the thwarting of one’s efforts. This will last until tomorrow morning when the Moon separates from Mars.
As for today, another major event will occur. The Sun in Aries will make a conjunction to Jupiter. This conjunction is quite significant because whenever a planet makes a conjunction to the Sun, it indicates that there is something new beginning with the cycle of that planet. The conjunction of planets are viewed by various authors to represent beginnings, inceptions, and the start of new cycles. With the Sun and Jupiter, this is an interesting conjunction because in some ways it can actually be pretty auspicious. The Sun in Aries is exalted, which indicates it is in its kingdom, its nature is amplified and exaggerated, the boldness, clarity of confidence, and quickness to action. It is also a triplicity lord as well too since it is in a Fire Sign, which indicates the Sun finds support from its friends, allies, and supporters. This is a very strong Sun, and its conjunction with Jupiter is significant because Jupiter is also a Triplicity Lord of the Fire Signs too. The Sun and Jupiter meeting together is finding the support of leadership and action from friends, supporters, and allies because of the issues with Mars in Cancer. One of the things that can be frustrating about all of this Aries energy is that it is fueled by a Mars that lacks fuel. A planet not at home doesn’t have access to the resources it needs to bring about its more constructive significations, and Mars in this case makes it hard to push any of this Aries energy anywhere. So the conjunction of Jupiter and the Sun allows for new beginnings to be initiated in the house Aries rules in your chart. Jupiter provides optimism, and expansive energy to remove limitations from our path. The effects of this conjunction will continue to be felt, but Jupiter is still hidden beneath the beams and will be for another 2 weeks, and then what was started will be revealed as Jupiter makes an appearance as a morning star. Jupiter as a Morning Star will feel a lot different because Jupiter is much more active, fresh, has lots of vigor, and zeal but in the evening star phases, is more patient, sagacious, and wise. A conjunction of a planet to the Sun changes its phase, going either from Morning to Evening Star, or Evening to Morning Star. Jupiter regains energy and is revitalized as it transitions from Evening Star, setting, to a Morning Star, rising in energy.
Wednesday, April 12th
[5:02 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn opposes Mars at 09º00’ Cancer
[9:35 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn trine Mercury at 11º39’ Taurus

On Wednesday, one of the more challenging events happens in the astrology for the week. The Moon in Capricorn will make an opposition to Mars in Cancer. Now, this seems to be a particularly challenging opposition because anytime the Moon is in a hard aspect with Mars, it brings conflict, confrontation, and emboldens the heart towards enmity. Now, this particular opposition is challenging because the Moon and Mars are both in each other’s signs, but in places of exile, and in opposition. This is what would be called Mutual Harm, where the planets are in an aspect of contention while receiving each other by dignity. The energy it’s giving is “if I’m going down, you’re going down with me”. The planets are mutually harming each other, and this can show up physically since Mars is a physical planet, and making an opposition to the Moon shows harm to the body, violence, and the drawing of blood. It is important to watch where injustice and violence are being perpetrated, for Mars in Cancer is an omen of oaths and bonds being violated and transgressed. One instance is the expulsion of two young, Black, Representatives in Tennessee from the Capitol: Representative Justin Jones and Justin Pearson. They were unjustly expelled for standing with their constituents in protesting gun violence and gun legislation. The sky is very clear in the Republican Party’s— fascist— efforts to create civil animosity amongst the people, and Mars signifies the omen of oaths being violated and transgressed. That body [The Tennesse Capitol] broke the oath of fairly elected representatives to serve the people. Mars in Cancer shows us the omen of injustice currently taking place, because an omen in the sky is an omen on Earth, and an omen on Earth is an omen in the sky.
We may feel more irritable, agitated, and angry on Wednesday. Not feeling nourished, protected, or safe can be the feeling, especially since the Moon will be besieged in the morning. Be wary of who you engage with conflict with today. The tension of Capricorn and Cancer initiates action as a Cardinal Sign and things move swiftly, suddenly, and abruptly with Mars. Cancer is the Exaltation of Jupiter, where Jupiter’s oaths and promises are strong but Mars’ presence through here creates enmity and tears people apart. The reception between the Moon and Mars indicates a willingness to compromise on these fights and matters, but it would happen through conflict first.
The Moon will leave the besiegement and make a trine to Mercury, which is great for writing, speech, communication, studying, and learning. This is great for sharing information about the past, history, and ancestry. The news will be buzzing and there will be lots to talk about. Mercury stimulates the mind and urges us to engage in debate. The discussions are very grounded and sober.
Thursday, April 13th
[3:19 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn square Jupiter at 22º05’ Aries
[5:11 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn square the Sun at 23º11’ Aries
[4:42 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Aquarius
[10:23 PM ET] The Moon in Aquarius trine Venus at 03º22’ Gemini

On Thursday, after the challenging encounters the Moon had with Mars, inflaming and rising tensions, the Moon will make a square to both the Sun and Jupiter in Aries. Having the Sun and Moon in a square aspect throughout Wednesday and Thursday shows this as an omen of disagreement, conflict, and confrontation. The Moon shows the themes of this lunation coming to a full culmination as she is in the 10th sign from the Sun. Abu Ma’shar says the Moon in the 10th from the Sun indicates the revelations of secrets about kings and the publicization of their matters. Something to do with judges, courts, and law is publicized since Jupiter is close to the Sun. This square can show conflict in action, dryness, conflict with rulers, authorities, judges, lawyers, and contention in trust. There is support from this configuration to spark energy and action since the presence of a benefic in this configuration (Jupiter) helps to remove limitations and restrictions, but it would not happen without conflict, contests in the will of the powerful, and a little force.
The Moon will then enter Aquarius, in the late afternoon ET, and as it ingresses it will make a trine to Venus in Gemini upon its ingress. I am really a fan of the Air Moon transits over the next few weeks because the Moon will make a trine to Venus in Gemini, who brings more sociability, fluidity, and ease of connection, and the Moon is turned away from both of the malefic planets. This brings much more ease, harmony, love, and pleasure in social situations upon ingress, since the Moon’s next aspect will be to Venus by the end of the night. Venus brings love, romance, eloquence and persuasive speech, gatherings, artistic and creative events into our lives on Thursday. This aspect smoothens things out whereas the Capricorn Moon earlier can feel more confrontational and combative.
Friday, April 14th
(12:38 PM ET) Venus in Gemini square Saturn at 04º03’ Pisces
[3:15 PM ET] The Moon in Aquarius square Mercury at 13º25’ Taurus

On Friday, the Moon will continue to move through Aquarius, making a square to Mercury in Taurus. This square to the Moon is particularly interesting since the Moon is in the overcoming position to Mercury right as Mercury is slowing down, getting ready to station Retrograde next week. The square to the Mercury talks about feeling stressed, mentally scattered, having lots of tasks to accomplish, and being busy. Abu Ma’shar says the overcoming square indicates the dispersion of books and knowledge. There is an emphasis on challenges with learning, a tear between orthodoxy and societal structures as the Moon is in Saturn’s sign. Our minds may feel very scattered during this time, but persistence and focus is required due to the fixed nature of this configuration.
On the other hand, Venus today makes an exact square to Saturn in Pisces. One of the things I’ve thought a lot about with Venus going through Gemini is that she will now experience for the next 3 years this overcoming square to Saturn in Pisces every time she goes through Gemini. I’ve noticed that Venus passing through here has a lot to do with the way people relate and connect to each other. Saturn brings restrictions, delays, and blockages to our ability to connect with each other, exchange ideas, and put our ideas together. This tension can be felt the entire week, but the transit goes exact this Friday. The news that Mercury and the Moon allude to may have something to do with this configuration since the Moon will pass through this square between these planets when she moves into Pisces. This can also show needing to set boundaries in relationships, put a pause, or take a break from particular connections. The restrictive and binding nature is felt the most in our ability to talk about love, relationships, and in the way we communicate.
Saturday, April 15th
[6:36 AM ET] The Moon in Aquarius sextile Jupiter at 22º36’ Aries
[11:15 AM ET] The Moon in Aquarius sextile the Sun at 25º23’ Aries
[6:56 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Pisces

On Saturday, the Moon will continue to transit through Aquarius, and it makes a sextile to both the Sun and Jupiter who have just conjoined. This is a fortunate connection since the Moon will make a supportive aspect (sextile) to the Sun and a benefic planet, Jupiter. In a sextile, Jupiter and the Sun together offer expansion, growth, optimism, zeal, enthusiasm, friendship, encouragement to take action, start new beginnings, a renewal of oaths, promises, and honesty. The Moon in Aquarius offers more deliberation and contemplation that becomes contrasted with action in Aries. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, while Aries is ruled by Mars. The Moon will continue to move through Aquarius, and separate from this sextile to the Sun and Jupiter when it eventually enters Pisces. The Moon will be applying to a conjunction with Saturn all night, which can make things feel more serious, grave, and tiring. Expect some of the effects of Saturn to last throughout the weekend.
Sunday, April 16th
[1:57 AM ET] The Moon conjoins Saturn at 04º12’ Pisces
[4:58 AM ET] The Moon in Pisces square Venus at 06º00’ Gemini
[1:48 PM ET] The Moon in Pisces trine Mars at 11º18’ Cancer
[7:24 PM ET] The Moon in Pisces sextile Mercury at 14º39’ Taurus

On Sunday, the Moon will continue to move through Pisces, and early in the morning, it makes a conjunction (its 2nd conjunction) to Saturn in Pisces. If the Moon conjoins Saturn, Abu Ma’shar says this indicates “difficulty and misfortune in the affairs of the day, harm coming to the people because of prisons, bonds, damages, and afflictions, the ruin of villages and towns, the emigration of their people, and the lack of water in springs and rivers” from his book on Religions and Dynasties. The lack of water and extremes of water can especially be felt today since the Moon and Saturn are in a water sign together. I mentioned earlier that the Moon would be highlighting the square between Saturn and Venus when it moves into Pisces. I expect this square to Venus and in conjunction with Saturn, it indicates restrictions, limitations, and blockages around relationships, love, and partnerships. Saturn brings sorrow, melancholy, endings, connections with elders, ancient, dead, and old things. Saturn makes us aware of the limitations on Sunday. Taking care of responsibilities, burdens, and duties are advised with Saturn. In addition, to rest. Delays are abound today. The Moon will then make a trine to Mars, which indicates action, emboldening of the heart, and escalation in conflict, aggression, and anger. The Moon will then make a sextile to Mercury who provides an opportunity for learning, reading, writing, and speaking, and offers an outlet for the irritation we may have experienced with Mars. Words and communication may feel a little funky and confusing since Mercury is getting ready to station Retrograde next week. More on that next week…
Great work Blaze :)
