Week Ahead Horoscope: Feb 14th to Feb 20th
Happy Monday everyone! We’re in the 3rd week of February, can you believe it? March is in 2 weeks, right around the corner, and the pace of life starts to pick up even more this week. Venus and Mercury are finally gaining more speed and recovering from the retrograde cycle. Mars and Venus are dancing bachata in the sky together this week under the night of the Full Moon in Leo. The Moon gets to her peak of fullness and brightness in the fiery sign of the lion, courageous, proud, and confident. Mars takes the lead, and escorts Venus through the morning sky. The sky is ignited and alive with passion, desire, lust, and will stop at nothing until the desire has been fulfilled. Mars exalted in Capricorn will make us stop at nothing until we get what we want. Everything comes to light this week and we are able to see things with much sharpness and in their fullness. It is a week of much needed mental clarity and courage after the coldness and obscurity of Aquarius Season and Saturn, feeling like we don’t know anything and feel excluded. Saturn is also rejoining us back in the sky, only as a Morning Star by Tuesday, and Jupiter on Thursday disappears from the Evening Sky and enters into the Beams of the Sun, getting ready for its conjunction in March. This week has a lot to offer, so let’s get into it.
Monday Feb 14th
(5:26 AM ET) The Moon in Cancer opposes Mercury at 29º34’ Capricorn
(6:17 AM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Leo
(4:53 PM ET) INGRESS: Mercury enters Aquarius
On Monday, we start off the week with Valentine’s Day, to all who celebrate. The Moon and Mercury are making an opposition at the end of Cancer and Capricorn, which brings issues with money, conflicts of information, and documents. The Moon brings the waters of change to Mercury, and then they both ingress into different signs. We get a whole change of pace going into this week. The Moon in Leo makes us fiery, passionate, dramatizes, theatricises how we feel. We’re feeling able to express ourselves, which is interesting because the Moon is in the Sun’s Sign, who is in the opposite sign in its Detriment (or Exile). The Sun in exile ruling the Moon highlights the ways we haven’t had the confidence to express ourselves, and have felt a lot of fear behind the consequences of expressing ourselves. With Mercury in Aquarius, the tone of our conversations changes too. Mercury becomes fixed in air, sure and affirmed in what it knows is talking about. Our ideas of things become crystalized and a lot clearer to articulate. The two fastest planets changing signs sets the tone of the beginning of the week into fixed. You’ll notice more stubbornness in people’s disposition and expression of that stubbornness. Stubbornness isn’t necessarily a negative trait, sometimes it’s important and useful to be stubborn.
Tuesday Feb 15th
(3:38 PM ET) The Moon in Leo opposes Saturn at 17º15’ Aquarius
Speaking of stubbornness, that can, on the other hand, lead us to feel blocked or restricted from others or trying to restrict others from us when the Moon opposes Saturn today. This aspect is the only aspect happening throughout the day, and the Moon cannot witness any other planets except Saturn. Leo and Capricorn (Venus & Mars) don’t make an aspect, Leo and Pisces (Jupiter) don’t make an aspect, and in Aquarius we have Mercury, Saturn, and the Sun. Today the Moon looks at Saturn. We find ourselves rejected or rejecting, feeling heaviness, somberness, and delayed or held back. It really highlights what happened from Feb 4th and the Cazimi, and it’s interesting because Saturn today (at 11:27 PM) gets enough distance from the Sun to where it will finally be visible as a Morning Star, only visible before sunrise. Something new has been birthed in the house Aquarius rules in your chart, and a situation there is now unfolding that may show you where you need to apply more structural work to your life in organizing and stabilizing it with something more updated and newer. Saturn as a morning star wants to organize and create structure. You may find yourself having to take on responsibility that is unwanted in some way.
Saturn’s Orb (according to William Lilly) is 10º, and Saturn gets 10º away from the Sun during this time. You can see in this chart, that Saturn is earlier in zodiacal order than the Sun, so it is visible during the Morning. Same goes for Mercury, Venus, and Mars.

Wednesday Feb 16th

(9:28 AM ET) Mars conjoins Venus at 16º53’ Capricorn
(11:56 AM ET) LUNATION: Full Moon at 27º59’ Leo
(3:42 PM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Virgo
Wednesday midnight rolls around, and it’s the night leading up to all the aspects of the Full Moon. The Moon gains light and is going towards her peak by noon. But early in the Morning, Mars conjoins Venus, and is in hot pursuit at 16º Capricorn. One thing that’s actually very interesting about their conjunction is from 10º-20º of Capricorn, the Decan rulers in the Chaldean and Triplicity systems are Mars and Venus, so the two decan rulers of this decan are conjoining in their decan. In the Tarot, this Decan is represented as the 3 of Pentacles. This card shows one person chisling something in the work that they’re building, and two other architects holding the plans for the design. They are all collaborating together in what they’re building and constructing. Mars ignites Venus in this decan, and if Venus is the architect designing the blueprint, proportions, designs, and making all the visual choices, Mars is the people who bring this to life and build it. The way people build houses and buildings and any structure was done with the work and labor of Mars.
On a mundane level, this Full Moon makes me think of people organizing and protesting, along with the Moon in Leo people are wanting to be proud in their demonstration. The Decan of this Full Moon (20º-30º Leo) is double-ruled by Mars. It talks about propaganda, hyping people up, maybe getting groups of people angry, and people are not afraid to fight back. People are called to come together for what they believe in. People will be honest about fighting for the things they desire and want. The Moon in Leo has us being seen in our fullest and has the spotlight placed on us. The house that Leo rules in your chart will have those topics being brought to fruition and completion. This Full Moon is in the Egyptian Terms of Mars (a 5 fold division of each zodiac sign), and on this Mars/Venus conjunction is being even more highlighted from this. If there’s been something you’ve been pushing towards and wanting more of in the Capricorn house of your chart, you have an opportunity to integrate it more through the Leo house of your chart. Venus and Mars are passionate and this will be their first conjunction. They have another one on March 5th. In addition, this Full Moon is also conjunct the Fixed Star Regulus (currently 0º Virgo, orb 2º), which is the Heart of the Lion in the constellation of Leo. This adds even more umph to this Full Moon because Regulus tends to bring a lot of pressure to the decisions we make. It gives one strength of willpower, even when we may feel like we don’t have the will or strength with the Sun in Aquarius right now, but when the Lion roars, it roars from the heart. On TOP of this, we also have the Moon at 27º Leo, which is exactly square the North and South Node. When planets are exactly square the North and South Node, they are seen to be at the Bendings of the Nodes which means that they’re either very low in the sky, at the Southern Bending, or very high in the sky at the Northern Bending. Since the North Node is in Taurus, the North Bending is in Leo, and the Southern Bending is in Aquarius. The Moon is at the absolute highest point it can be in the sky, almost overhead near the Zenith. A Moon that is at the higher point in the sky, plus being FULL, on top of the Royal Star Regulus, and on the day of a Venus/Mars conjunction. Expect the Lion to roar in the house Leo rules in your chart.
A side note about Mars and Venus, while this conjunction can get very passionate, from a technical standpoint, Mars is a malefic planet conjoining a benefic planet, Venus. Meaning that Mars is maltreating Venus. Since Mars is making the aspect, we can interpret this as malefic things (polarizing, uncomfortable experiences) coming towards benefic things (moderates, comfortable experiences). You’ll feel more friction in your life around the topics of the houses that Venus rule in your chart. There might be some disrupting force that comes in and shakes the table. This makes me think of someone getting you riled up, or angry, and then using that anger as bait, since the next time Venus and Mars conjoin it will be when Venus becomes besieged by Mars and Saturn. Mars is leading Venus into a trap, so don’t give people power to inflame you, or even gaslight you. This Full Moon in Leo shows the responsibility of one’s willpower and how much strength there is in doing nothing, saying nothing, and remaining stoic. This is the Sun in Aquarius ruling the Full Moon. While I think this aspect can produce a lot of passion and flare, not everything is as it seems right now.
The Moon will enter into Virgo in the middle of the day, which definitely changes the tones of our conversation to be more rationale, thinking level headed, and will be now filtered through Mercury in Aquarius, since they entered at the beginning of the week. The Moon and Mercury won’t be able to connect or see each other since Virgo and Aquarius don’t make an aspect. This can literally look like talking about something that you don’t have enough knowledge or information on. It’s time to come with the facts and add all the shit up. We get more of this tomorrow.
Thursday Feb 17th
(12:26 PM ET) The Moon in Virgo opposes Jupiter at 11º08’ Pisces
(7:12 PM ET) Jupiter in Pisces sextile Uranus at 11º13’ Taurus
The rest of the week, we’re recovering and dealing with the cool-down from the Full Moon in Leo and at around noon eastern time, the Moon makes an opposition to Jupiter. The Moon is in conflict with Jupiter, where in Virgo we’re focused on utilizing knowledge to do things, apply technique, analysis, and precision to our day to day lives. Jupiter tells the Moon to chill the fuck out. Just be. Oppositions to Jupiter brings challenges of truth, perspective, faithfulness in others, and make us able to express ourselves, even the things we dislike. You may recieve some honesty or truth from someone else, but not without it bringing tension.
On this same day Jupiter and Uranus sextile each other, which is very interesting because this will be the last time Uranus and Jupiter will be able to see each other by aspect until 2023-2024, when Jupiter enters Taurus. This is the end of their cycle together that started on Jan 4th, 2011. Think about what is coming to a close in your life that has opened up since then. Truthfully, this cycle is something I don’t have too much input on because I was 11 in 2011.
One other important thing that happens today is that Jupiter enters the Beams of the Sun on this day. Jupiter’s orb is 12º, and it finally gets within 12º of the Sun. Jupiter gets close enough to the Sun where it will not be visible in the sky anymore, and it will be obscured or outshined by the rays of the Sun. When Jupiter disappears from the sky, this can feel like our capacity to trust and see the good in others has disappeared and is diminishing. What we place our faith in, our world view, the way we identify with others and community. It might not be a good time for friendships, and is actually better for ending friendships. We find that our belief is being changed or altered by external factors that are of no fault of our own, and that community, togetherness, good spirits, and optimism may briefly disappear. Don’t worry though, Jupiter will be reborn by the Sun on March 5th, and will become visible in the sky again by March 20th. So this conflict of truth that the Moon is highlighting is a result of Jupiter disappearing from the sky for a few weeks.

Friday Feb 18th
(12:46 AM ET) The Moon in Virgo trine Venus at 17º51’ Capricorn
(1:13 AM ET) The Moon in Virgo trine Mars at 18º06’ Capricorn
(11:43 AM ET) INGRESS: The Sun enters Pisces
(10:50 PM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Libra
On Friday, the tone of the week takes a dramatic shift from the tone of the past two months. After being in Saturn ruled signs back to back, the Sun finally enters Jupiter’s sign. I find this interesting that the Sun enters Pisces, ruled by Jupiter, since now the theme moving forward is going to be about examining our capacity for faith and trust within other people. We’re going to be purging out and ending a cycle in the part of our chart Pisces rules, since Jupiter as the Lord of the Sun will conjoin the Sun on March 5th, and then start a new beginning by the end of Pisces Season on March 20th. Jupiter is getting burnt up by the Sun through most of Pisces Season, so this can look like the pursuit of meaning and inner truth through leaving a certain scenario or circumstance. Pisces has a lot to deal with loss and letting go, especially in the Tarot cards that rule each decan. The 8 of Cups, 9 of Cups, and 10 of cups. If you want abundance in your life, you need to make space for it.
Aside from Pisces Season, the Moon makes a beautiful trine over to Venus and Mars. This is also going to be interesting moving forward because previous the aspects between Venus and Mars were that the Moon would apply to Mars first, then Venus, but since Mars has passed Venus in the sky, the order is reversed. We go from Venus to Mars. Technically the Moon is bonified by the benefic planets when it applies to a trine to Venus. We find an opportunity to find some useful criticism or adjustment to our plans of action. The trine between Capricorn and Virgo is knowing how to adapt to an environment using your skill and knowledge. Virgo is the physical, tangible, and practical application of knowledge used to create a physical representation of that. Maybe it’s a great time to get lost in a fairytale and read a book. It’s great for love and enjoying physical pleasures and sensations. The Moon also makes a trine to Mars which gives us more focus and determination towards our efforts. We are skilled with the ways of the sword. If you’re looking for a good time to get started with a workout routine or motivation to do daily activities of life (which are super Martian, it takes WORK to exist), this is a great push to get some labor and work done.
Keep in mind, this Moon in Virgo transit will be the first time since Mars conjoined Venus that she will witness both of them. The Moon is only aware of what happened after their conjunction.
Saturday Feb 19th
(7:18 AM ET) The Moon in Libra trine Mercury at 04º41’ Aquarius
At the end of yesterday, the Moon enters Libra, ruled by Venus who just recently had a conjunction with Mars, so we’re bringing the focus towards Venusian themes of justice, balance, equilibrium, fairness, the law, and legal stuff. The Moon makes a trine to Mercury in Aquarius early in the day, making our minds abundant with knowledge, rules, regulations, information, messages, text messages, emails, all flooding us throughout the day. It’s a very mentally “on” or active day, so make sure to take some time to chill out. You’ll get important messages, have important conversations, and information will feel like it’s very easy to flow.
Sunday Feb 20th
(6:45 AM ET) The Moon in Libra trine Saturn at 17º48’ Aquarius
(9:33 AM ET) The Moon in Libra square Venus at 19º23’ Capricorn
(10:25 AM ET) The Moon in Libra square Mars at 19º52’ Capricorn
To end the week, we find an interesting story occur where the Moon makes a trine to Saturn in Aquarius, as the Exaltation Lord of Libra. This looks like doing something the “right” or orthodox way, maybe with legal matters. In other instances, it looks like making a commitment or entering into an agreement. This trine can be a favorable time, however expect this to come with confrontation and challenge from Mars and Venus. One thing I have always found interesting about Mars is that Abu Ma'shar in his introduction to Astrology talks about Mars representing “what is forbidden as lawful”. Mars is somehow breaking the law here. Maybe this contract or agreement that is being talked about between The Moon and Saturn actually turns into a violation of an agreement or contract, since the Moon will then come to make a square to Mars, and a square to Venus. Mars applying to Venus earlier this week is a commitment breaking broken. Infidelity. Violation of legal themes. Keep in mind that earlier quote about Abu Ma'shar, regarding what is forbidden as lawful. This is definitely a test of honesty this week with the Full Moon in Leo and then to end the week with the Sun entering Pisces, of truth, and the Moon entering Libra. The maltreatment of the benefics are 100% highlighted by the end of this week.
