Introduction

Welcome to the week ahead y'all. Sorry this forecast is out late, The Moon is currently on the South Node, and square Saturn, it’s Tax Day, it’s hell out here, and even the Astrologer feels the Astro Weather. This week is the cool down from the Full Moon in Libra, and we’re going into Eclipse Season now. I say it every Eclipse season, but if you’re involved in magical workings, manifestation, and rituals, and are planning to do workings on the Eclipses, it would be best to sit out for the next month (until May 30th). I consider Eclipse Season to have already started because the Moon is now losing light and will eventually conjoin the Sun, occulting them, and this is a big part of why I usually say to not do workings during an Eclipse: for your safety. Eclipses are volatile transits and they indicate the loss of energy, I call them celestial power outages because the Sun and Moon cannot do their essential function, which is to shine light, and for us in our natal charts, they represent our sources of energy and vitality. My original thread is linked below if you’re curious to read more about why I say take some caution. This is the time for magicians to rest and cleanse themselves. I want to eventually talk about this topic at length but maybe I’ll do that for a podcast episode on Patreon!
This week is interesting because Taurus Season begins and we really start getting introduced to some of what the buildup to Eclipse Season is like. The Moon will be losing light this week and next week, which is appropriate for the theme of a Solar Eclipse, things being purged or brought out of your life. The Nodes are very loud this week, as Mercury also conjoins the North Node. Things might get a little chaotic this week, but there are some soft spots! Especially as the Moon enters Capricorn and trines and sextiles all of the planets in the sky. So without further ado, let’s get into the week ahead!
Now that this Full Moon in Libra is over…
We’re officially entering Eclipse Season.
Our next conjunction is a Solar Eclipse in Taurus (April 30)
Our next Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio (May 16th)
I say it every eclipse season. Not a good time for manifesting.
Monday April 18th
[12:51 AM ET] Mercury conjoins Uranus at 13º48’ Taurus
[10:00 AM ET] The Moon conjoins the South Node at 22º34 Scorpio
[11:30 AM ET] The Moon in Scorpio squares Saturn at 23º29’ Aquarius
[2:36 PM ET] The Moon in Scorpio trines Jupiter at 25º21’ Pisces
VOID MOON: 2:36 PM ET to 10:16 PM ET
[10:16 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Sagittarius
On Monday, Mercury perfects its conjunction with Uranus. When planets come into contact with Uranus, they bring disruption, interruption, and interference, similarly to Mars, and when Mercury comes into contact with Uranus, it can talk about your nervous system feeling overstimulated. Some people may get random news, messages, emails, texts, all of the above that are Mercury. Communication can be easily disruptive and destabilizing during this time, but Venus asks us to stay chill amongst the volatility.
The Moon conjoins the South Node and is in conflict with Saturn, bringing sorrow, pain, & physical fatigue. Things are going to be slower for most of the day, so take just take it easy. Saturn makes us aware of the ways we feel abandoned and rejected, and the Moon highlights the pain that comes from alienation. We feel the weight of the pressure on our shoulders like boulders. Saturn gets to the root of the matter, and how heavy the baggage is.
The Moon trines Jupiter by the end of the day, so things end on a lighter note than they started on. There is an opportunity for forgiveness, rebuilding & learning to move on. Jupiter in Pisces tells us how to be able to move on. The Moon brings the root of the pain to the surface in Fixed Waters of Scorpio, and Jupiter allows the healing tides of the ocean to wash the pain away.
The Moon will be void and then it enters Sagittarius by the end of the day, the Moon will move out of the sign of its fall and look for more adventure and optimism after a brief moment of introspection.
Tuesday April 19th
[3:29 AM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius squares Mars at 03º09’ Pisces
[10:24 PM ET] INGRESS: The Sun enters Taurus
Today, The Moon in Sagittarius squares Mars today creating conflict, tension, & outrage early in the morning.
This conflict is around obstruction of justice, politics, & freedom, things that both Jupiter ruled signs represent. The Moon is in a Fire Sign, so it is easy for things to inflame and spread. In Aries, the fire is initiated, in Leo, it is stabilized, and in Sagittarius, it spreads like wildfire. I’ve consistently noticed when the Moon makes a hard aspect to Mars that there are accidents, fights, conflicts, and physical injuries that can occur, so it’s definitely not a day to be reckless if you don’t plan on getting hurt. Jupiter tends to rule our faith and belief, so there can be conflict over doubt, lack of trust, and dishonesty since Mars is here. This is the only aspect the Moon makes today, and it is the day of Mars (Tuesday), this transit only doubles down on it being a day of contention and strife.
The Sun also experiences a change today too, and it finally enters Taurus, leaving the sign of its Exaltation and moving toward grounding and stabilizing the spring. Since the Sun is getting kind of “demoted” we can feel like our perception and control over things starts to wane. The Sun will be approaching closer and closer to the North Node, which means Eclipse Season is coming!
Wednesday April 20th
[12:33 AM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius squares Venus at 15º55’ Pisces
[1:18 PM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius sextile Saturn at 23º38’ Aquarius
[2:19 PM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius squares Neptune at 24º14’ Pisces
[4:55 PM ET] The Moon in Sagittarius squares Jupiter at 25º49’ Pisces
[11:52 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Capricorn
The Moon in Sagittarius’s fire, ideas, & vision are received by Venus & Jupiter through conflict by a square. Be careful of harm that comes from overindulgence or excess. When the Moon moves into hard aspects with the benefics, it can represent too much of a good thing becoming a problem or challenging thing.
The Moon will square Venus early in the morning which can make us prone to overindulgence and feeling unbalanced. The Moon is able to find some grounding when it sextiles Saturn, providing wisdom, insight, caution, and warnings for what’s ahead with Jupiter and Neptune. It’s easy to blow things out of proportion or for things to seem larger and more grandiose than they actually are. Conflict of faith, doubt, and worry can come up from confusion, haziness, and feeling unclear. Jupiter is naturally the lord of temperance, according to William Lilly, so when Jupiter is challenged, it can talk about conflict or challenging of morals.
Jupiter tries to temper and cools the heat Moon, & the Moon heads the warning, getting grounded when she enters Capricorn towards the end of the day.
Thursday April 21st
[1:42 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn trines the Sun at 01º06’ Taurus
[7:52 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn sextiles Mars at 04º48’ Pisces
The Moon is in agreement with the Sun and Mars, getting rid of a lot of excess heat from the Moon in Sagittarius. The Moon will be in a nice trine to the Sun early in the morning, which can be good for getting recognition, validation, and being seen, by others, in particular for matters around stability and resources. The Moon and The Sun make agreements in Earth Signs, so there are pragmatic solutions, and the Moon receives the Sun since the Sun has entered into the exaltation of the Moon.
Mars tries to support the Moon, and is more clear about what action to take. Mars energizes the Moon to take action, and Mars is in reception with the Moon, since Capricorn is the exaltation of Mars. The Moon is not super enthusiastic about being in Capricorn, since she is Exiled here, but the Moon is not super afflicted. The relationship between Capricorn and Pisces is about bringing pragmatism to our ideals, visions, and dreams. Saturn and Jupiter work together through these signs. The Moon is especially helping Mars gain more decisiveness and strength to take action and fight because the Moon is pushing her nature
Friday April 22nd
[6:42 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn sextile Venus at 18º26’ Pisces
[11:13 AM ET] The Moon in Capricorn trine Mercury at 21º07’ Taurus
[7:58 PM ET] The Moon in Capricorn sextile Jupiter at 24º18’ Pisces
[11:52 PM ET] The Moon conjoins Pluto at 28º35’ Capricorn
Moving into the weekend, the Moon makes a beautiful sextile to Venus & Jupiter on Friday. This looks like seeing a friend or someone close & having a great time. The Moon in Capricorn with the benefics in Pisces today brings up feelings of nostalgia & reminiscing in the past. Great for creative pursuits. The Moon will also make a trine to Mercury today, which can be a day where you receive good news. Mercury is enclosed between the benefics right now, which means that Mercury is in a position where their speech is pacifying. The Moon can get increasingly more fixated and trying to get to the root of the matter when it conjoins Pluto at the end of the day, which can bring some level of paranoia.
Saturday April 23rd
[2:17 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Aquarius
[7:56 AM ET] The Moon in Aquarius squares the Sun at 03º18’ Taurus
[12:27 PM ET] Mercury conjoins the North Node at 22º39’ Taurus
The Moon enters Aquarius today and squares the Sun in Taurus. The luminaries are in disagreement with each other, and the Moon is losing confidence and resources due to scarcity in Saturn’s sign. Things get really fixed and stagnant today with the Moon and Sun in fixed signs. The Moon brings loss of power and agency on Saturday and feeling somewhat confused or in a bind, since the Moon is ruled by Saturn. The Moon still has more territory to cover through the weekend. The Moon highlights regulation, and caution, where we feel stuck, and because it is in Saturn’s sign, it can talk about fear of restrictions loosening, so Saturn tries to on its constriction.
Sunday April 24th
[2:35 AM ET] The Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus at 14º09’ Taurus
[9:49 AM ET] Mercury in Taurus square Saturn at 23º53’ Aquarius
[6:37 PM ET] Mercury in Taurus sextile Neptune at 24º22’ Taurus
[7:33 PM ET] The Moon conjoins Saturn at 23º54’ Aquarius
[8:33 PM ET] The Moon in Aquarius squares Mercury at 24º29’ Aquarius
Mercury squares Saturn, which looks like challenges, delays, sorrow, and seriousness with news. Saturn creates restrictions around Mercury topics, restrictions around speech, writings, documents, etc. Saturn is in the overcoming square to Mercury, and this is the most dangerous position for Saturn to be in because it is equivalent to an excess of rules, regulations, pressure, and stress applied to, in this instances, Mercurial topics. We may feel more restricted in what we have to say, dealing with issues of censorship or written topics. There can be a lot of pressure to have certain projects or assignments completed even if you’re not completely ready. Mercury is moving slow and Saturn is the deadline. The Moon brings the deadline quicker and quicker when it eventually conjoins Saturn. It makes me think of like working on a school project or taxes or something up until the last second. Procrastination gets the best of us. It seems like Sunday there is a lot of stress, work, and labor that comes our way with the Moon conjoining the greater malefic, Saturn. Mercury also just conjoined the North Node yesterday on Saturday so our brains and mind were completely all over the place and stretched thin. Make sure to give yourself room to breathe and do not mentally burn yourself out. The answer is not to keep going and laboring your body until you cannot do anything left. It’s very easy to feel that pressure with Mercury conjoined to Rahu but it is not the solution. And with that, next week we’ll visit the Solar Eclipse in Taurus.
