VOID MOON: 11:49 PM ET to 2:58 AM ET tomorrow.
The Moon in Scorpio has a lot of planets to engage with on Monday, coming from the Sun’s ingress into Aries yesterday, with the beginning of the Astrological New Year. Mercury conjoins Jupiter today, and after Mercury had challenges with lack of clarity, confusion, miscommunication, Mercury conjoining Jupiter is like learning something that you didn’t understand previously. Mercury conjoining its domicile lord is classically a great aspect, with Jupiter being also in dignity and at home. If there have been messages that have been waiting to be delivered but have been stuck in delay or lost, the conjunction to Jupiter brings optimism to Mercurial topics. Mercury is said to be benefic when with the benefics, and this is the case here. One of the aspects I’ve personally thought to be representative of this conjunction is exaggerating or stretching the truth. Mercury is not in a position of dignity, and is being shamed in the sign of Pisces, logic, reason, separation, and discernment are not things that are cared about with Pisces. The playfulness with imagination, fantasy, and desire and sought after through Jupiter in Pisces, and Jupiter will exaggerate whatever planet it touches. Be careful of news being exaggerated, or inflammatory. This may be a time when we see a peak in people spreading false information. Mercury represents messengers, and Jupiter represents aid or support, but the conjunction of Jupiter to Mercury can represent aid or support to messengers, journalists, and people who communicate information that have been disenfranchised. The Moon is making a square to Mars, so there is tension and conflict between these planets, initiating fights, arguments, friction, conflict, and antagonization since these planets are squared each other (especially with Mars), but Mars also receives the Moon by being in his sign (Scorpio). The square between Scorpio and Aquarius highlights what pain is felt, where we feel like an open wound, raw, and malnourished. The Moon will oppose Uranus in Taurus creating disruption and volatility to how we feel and as the Moon squares Venus, our sense of harmony and balance is in disarray. Our pain is not meant to make others comfortable, because this is the ugliness of hurt. The Moon squaring Venus, after their reception in Libra, is now transmuting the pain that Venus has felt. The condition of Venus’ besiegement has been very apparent lately, Venus is typically a significator of love and children, and the besiegement of Venus has shown up in the mundane transits as the attack of the state of t*xas towards the Trans community, the attack of Fl*rdia’s bill attacking queer youth in elementary schools, this Scorpio Moon transmutes the pain that has been felt. These censorships that are being written into law have been something, as a queer person, that have been a source of anxiety and pain for me especially since I live in Florida, and through my boyfriend, who works in the school system, seeing this happen and take place on a local scale in the place around me, it breaks my heart to know that this is the future we are setting up for the youth, and it cannot be this way. Another way the Mercury/Jupiter conjunction can show up is by communicating an experience that you were unable to communicate and are finally finding language to describe what you are experiencing, the height of this comes when the Moon trines Jupiter and Mercury. By the end of the day, the Moon makes a square to Saturn and we are #exhausted. Saturn brings a stop, testing of limits, and somberness at the end of the day. The start of the day doesn’t feel good, and the end of the day doesn’t feel good. It’s a Fixed Moon transit, expect those to be not fun in 2022 (by Fixed Moon transit, I mean if the Moon is in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius because Saturn makes a hard aspect to planets in these signs for the remainder of its transit through Aquarius from 2020-2023.
Tuesday March 22nd
(2:58 AM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Sagittarius
(4:43 PM ET) Mars in Aquarius squares Uranus at 12º26’ Taurus
(6:52 PM ET) The Moon in Sagittarius trine the Sun at 02º17’ Aries
The Moon enters Sagittarius on Tuesday Morning, adding more fire to the mixture of elements, both of the Luminaries in Fire signs adds some balance to the elements: Sun in Aries, Moon in Sagittarius Fire; Venus, Mars, and Saturn in Aquarius, Air; and Jupiter and Mercury in Pisces. The Lights come into agreement to create more heat, expression, passion, inflammation, and ego, and on this same day, Mars makes a square to Uranus. I personally consider Uranus and Mars to be very similar in nature, they’re volatile and disruptive, but them being paired together looks like accident, disruption, violence, and the square aspect puts these planets in conflict. Mars is breaking through bindings & restrictions that Saturn is trying to impose, and the Moon in agreement with the Sun looks like agreement in action and lots of passion.
Wednesday March 23rd
(1:11 PM ET) The Moon in Sagittarius sextile Mars at 13º04’ Aquarius
(1:43 PM ET) Mercury conjoins Neptune at 23º15’ Pisces
(7:28 PM ET) The Moon in Sagittarius sextile Venus at 16º47’ Aquarius
(11:59 PM ET) The Moon in Sagittarius square Jupiter at 19º26’ Pisces
On Wednesday, the main event for the day is Mercury conjoining Neptune, which brings confusion, distortion, and uncertainty around the information. Deception tends to be something I associate with Neptune, or something that is misleading or fractured from what is actually connected to the truth. Mercury and Neptune come together to stretch the limits of what is real and what is imaginary, and the blending of both together. Today, the Moon gets to Mars and Venus for the last time before the weekend, where the Moon will enter into the besiegement zone and free Venus from her captivity, and in Sagittarius, she witnesses the urgency to act on the situation, so the Moon makes a square over to Jupiter. Again, the same as last moth, it can bring self-righteousness, a surplus of passion and emotion, uncontrolled expression, and lack of moderation. Beware of fights and striking someone the wrong way, the Moon in Sagittarius demands the active pursuit of expansion. Jupiter represents faithfulness and oaths that are broken and challenged as the Moon is losing light. Faith is challenged when Mercury conjunct Neptunes clouds your sense of awareness. Discernment is your friend on this day.
Thursday March 24th
(3:08 AM ET) The Moon in Sagittarius sextile Saturn at 21º18’ Aquarius
(6:30 AM ET) The Moon in Sagittarius square Neptune at 23º17’ Pisces
(8:58 AM ET) The Moon in Sagittarius squares Mercury at 24º44’ Pisces
(5:53 PM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Capricorn
On Thursday, the Moon makes a sextile to Saturn, which exaggerates the malevolence of Saturn. The Moon highlights a leap of faith that need to be taken. The Moon is in a mutable sign that ushers in change and fluctuation, the Moon runs into Saturn’s boundaries and limits and they are tested. What was planted with the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius on December 4th, 2021 is now being realized through each Sagittarius Moon transit that passes. The Moon hits a square to Neptune, which brings in challenges with perception especially as the Moon applies to square Mercury, bringing the two messengers into conflict with each other. Mercury is in a challenging situation, as a messenger delivering information, and the Moon in Sagittarius is spreading propaganda, hype, and distorting the perception of how something was or is communicated. There are errors that can lead to anger and arguments. Conflict of morality and oaths because of lies and lack of communication are highlighted with the Moon squaring Mercury. Jupiter is receiving this conflict as he rules both Sagittarius and Pisces. The Moon at the end of the day leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn, where it sobers and dries up, adding some grounding with cardinal earth to the mix of elements.
Friday March 25th
(1:37 AM ET) The Moon in Capricorn squares the Sun at 04º33’ Aries
Friday the only aspect we have is the Moon making a square to the Sun, representing these two planets coming into conflict with each other. Both of these planets in Cardinal Signs show conflict of authority, fighting, battles. The vibe is Martian, since Mars rules Aries and is exalted in Capricorn. It can feel like egos are clashing, people are in conflict, there is a lot of dryness and sarcasm. Mars energy brings abrasiveness, friction, confrontation, even though the Moon wants no part in this engagement since she is in Detriment in Capricorn while the Sun is exalted. Two people or authority figures are definitely coming together to fight and are in conflict.
Saturday March 26th
(3:48 AM ET) The Moon in Capricorn sextile Jupiter at 19º57’ Pisces
(6:34 AM ET) Mercury in Pisces sextile Pluto at 28º18’ Capricorn
(6:03 PM ET) The Moon conjoins Pluto at 28º19’ Capricorn
(7:50 PM ET) The Moon in Capricorn sextile Mercury at 29º22’ Pisces
(8:55 PM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Aquarius
As we move into Saturday, the Moon makes a beautiful sextile to Jupiter and it brings in moments of nostaligia, reflection, thinking about the past and what made you happy and feel fulfilled. The Moon in a nice aspect with Jupiter brings optimism, faith, hope, trust, and friendship between people. The Moon is also conjoining Pluto as this happens, so how we feel deep down inside us is being unearthed and we have an opportunity to communicate our paranoia, fear, anxiety, and obsession when the Moon makes a sextile to Mercury. This happens just in time before Mercury leaves Pisces for good and goes into the sign of Aries tomorrow. The Moon will continue to be waning and losing light throughout the day, and will enter Aquarius during the evening. The Moon will go from facing her fears with the Moon conjoined Pluto to finally acting on that ambition when she enters Aquarius. The Moon’s entrance into Aquarius will be important because she will play a big part in rescuing Venus from her Besiegement on Monday, March 28th, when she conjoins Mars and interferes with the situation. Look at the house that Cancer rules in your chart, and where the Moon is, those topics will be what may be aiding in your experience of the house that Venus rules in your chart (Taurus and Libra). The Moon is coming to save the day and interfere!
Sunday March 27th
(3:44 AM ET) INGRESS: Mercury enters Aries
(8:34 AM ET) The Moon in Aquarius sextile the Sun at 06º49’ Aries
(6:38 PM ET) The Moon in Aquarius square Uranus at 12º41’ Taurus
To end the week on Sunday, Mercury finally leaves the sign of its Detriment and Depression in Pisces and enters the sign of Aries. Mercury is still under the beams of the Sun, but now Mercury doesn’t feel the uncertainty and fogginess with moisture in Pisces, and in Aries the heat turns up. Mercury says light is used to be signaled as an alarm. Mercury communicates Aries very demandingly, overtly, and with urgency. We pick up the pace in our conversations even more, sometimes confrontational on accident. Mercury is running into the Sun to deliver news while the Sun sits upon the throne in its Exaltation, representative of a leader or someone in a position of authority. The Moon makes a nice sextile over to the Sun bringing the end of the month to a close, and in this close, the Moon squares Uranus by the end of the day to create intense disruption to the sense of fear, social anxiety, feeling trapped, caved or boxed in, and the Moon chooses to break these limits and boundaries established and imposed in Aquarius. We’ll feel a strong sense of urgency to speak up and use our voice, but be careful of inflammation of your nervous system with Mercury in Aries. If there have been any messengers that have been slow or stagnant, thing start to pick up, communication becomes much more direct and straight to the point. Aries just wants to cut the chit-chat and just get to the meat and potatoes. Impatience is something that is not known to the Aries, as Saturn is fallen here, but the Moon making a sextile to the Sun helps to purposefully use self-restraint and holding yourself back. Moderation becomes your friend on this day. The Moon will enter into the besiegement tomorrow and free Venus from her condition of maltreatment. More on this next week.
