Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to the week ahead. This week is one of the big climaxes of the month, because we have the Full Moon in Virgo on Friday the 18th. Mercury in Pisces becomes the star of the show, as it is highlighted through this Virgo Moon. Needing to have facts, details, and utilize knowledge but feeling a blur, haziness, and fogginess as Mercury swims through the Water sign of Pisces. This week we also have another important change as the New Year starts on Sunday, with the Sun’s annual ingress into Aries. Happy Spring Equinox! This Full Moon in Virgo is definitely highlighting the transition and end of last year into the beginning of the next year. Where we find the majority of planets in Air and Water this week, the Full Moon in Earthy Virgo helps to illuminate what we need to get grounded in. Let’s get into this week!
Monday March 14th
(3:17 AM ET) The Moon in Leo opposes Mars at 06º00’ Leo
(5:59 AM ET) The Moon in Leo opposes Venus at 07º24’ Aquarius
(3:02 PM ET) The Moon in Leo squares Uranus at 12º04’ Taurus
On Monday, the Moon already being in Leo comes to oppose Mars early in the morning. Mars makes us alert and gives us a lot of energy in the night, so some people may pull all-nighters, some may be completely exhausted but finding it hard to rest, there can be fights, confrontation, conflict, and it is the first time the Moon is coming to oppose Mars while Mars is now in Aquarius. The general pattern until April 15th (when Mars leaves Aquarius) is that Leo Moon transits will be times where there is more confrontation, conflict, and challenges in our day-to-day lives because the Moon is opposing both malefic planets, Mars and Saturn. The Moon will start to highlight challenges that are building in the house Aquarius rules in your chart as it opposes both Mars and Venus in the morning. Conflict and confrontation become the themes for Monday, as well as irritation and disruption with the Moon making a square to Uranus. Unfortunately, the Moon will be besieged for Monday and Tuesday since its first aspect is to Mars, and then after squaring Uranus, applies to oppose to Saturn on Tuesday.
Tuesday March 15th
(6:55 AM ET) The Moon in Leo opposes Saturn at 20º23’ Aquarius
VOID MOON: 6:55 AM ET to tomorrow 12:58 AM ET
The Moon opposing Saturn on this day makes it heavy, slow, delayed, stagnant and can bring up feelings of rejection, isolation, feeling outcasted, and disconnected. This is a good day to apply yourself to get hard work or difficult work done, tend to, and take responsibility for any burdens currently on your shoulders, but above all, when we come into contact with Saturn give yourself time to rest. When Saturn is influencing the day, it can feel pretty daunting or tedious, but Saturn reminds us to pause and take a moment to just be present. Saturn says come back and try again later. We may feel impatient, angry, and frustrated with being delayed since the Moon is in Leo. Sometimes you don’t get what you want, and it’s okay to be frustrated, but it’s a sign to show that maybe some things aren’t meant for you and that’s okay. The Moon will be void for most of the day, so don’t be surprised if things or plans don’t fall through after the Moon opposes Saturn. If you see this in Horary, it is a strong indicator for a no.
Wednesday March 16th
(12:58 AM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Virgo
(10:08 PM ET) The Moon in Virgo opposes Mercury at 11º28’ Pisces
After the Moon dragging through the end of Leo, she enters Virgo early in the morning, where she will be getting ready to become Full by Thursday into Friday night. The Moon enters into Mercury’s sign, highlighting what Mercury is currently doing in the sky. Mercury in Pisces right now has been a REAL WHIRLWIND FOR ME lately. Numbers aren’t adding up. The car is overheating randomly. I mean Mercury’s condition is really being reflected in the experiences of Mercury on a daily basis, especially as Mercury enters into the beams of the sun and becomes combust. The Moon is almost at her peak, the most confident, and bright comes into conflict with Mercury. In Virgo, the Moon is concerned with details, facts, discernment of knowledge, accuracy, and precision and as she tries to be confident in delivering this news, she receives pushback from Mercury who is supposed to have the right news and information, and because Mercury is in a challenging position (Detriment, Fallen, moving towards the beams, afflicted by Neptune [yes this is an affliction]) and doesn’t have the right information, details are messy, rushed (because Mercury is fast in motion right now moving 1º38’ a day, almost a degree and a half a day! Mercury is applying to its domicile lord which is Jupiter, so this may mean that Mercury is receiving some sort of benefit from the situation they’re in regardless of being worked against. However, Jupiter could just be exaggerating Mercury’s challenges too, since Jupiter is home, and Mercury is exiled here. Maybe Mercury has to deliver some important and pressing news, but it isn’t being delivered because Jupiter wants to maintain social peace and balance. Speak the truth even if it disturbs the peace. Just make sure you know what you’re talking about and check the details over. This is Mercury’s day we’re dealing with as well, so expect some arguments and disputes over right and wrong
Thursday March 17th
(8:13 AM ET) Mercury in Pisces sextile Uranus at 12º11’ Taurus
(9:43 AM ET) The Moon in Virgo opposes Jupiter at 17º52’ Pisces
(7:02 PM ET) The Moon in Virgo opposes Neptune at 23º02’ Pisces
As we move into Thursday, the Moon is not done challenging the planets, as she comes to oppose the Greater Benefic Jupiter in the sky. The Moon in Virgo still seeking discernment, logic, and discernment now looks towards the reason why Mercury is in a challenging condition. She finds a culprit, Jupiter. Jupiter is getting closer to Neptune, and is actually within orb of Neptune, so Jupiter is beginning to start to materialize the exaggerations of Neptune, which has been signified through companies and corporations unnecessarily inflating and raising prices of goods in stores and rising gas prices. We may see some news develop around inflation more and more as the Moon enters Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces until April 12th. As the Moon highlights the exaggerations of Jupiter and Neptune, she brings us to ask “what is useful and necessary”? Bringing a challenge to the illusion, with facts, research, knowledge, and synthesis from the analysis. There is tension in our faith and trust in others with the Moon challenging Jupiter. Part 2 continued on Friday.
Friday March 18th
(3:17 AM ET) LUNATION: Full Moon at 27º40’ Virgo
VOID MOON: 3:17 AM ET to 7:25 AM ET
(7:25 AM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Libra
(3:37 PM ET) The Sun in Pisces sextile Pluto at 28º10’ Capricorn
Thursday night will be the night of the Full Moon, and after the Moon applies to Neptune, she will be approaching the Sun at her peak brightness on Friday. The Moon will become full in the third decan of Virgo, representing the inevitability of endings and death. Most of the images of the 3rd Decan of each mutable sign actually have connections to endings and death. In Virgo, this comes from the Sun getting ready to move towards Libra and the fall of nature, leaving falling off the treat, nature retreating and moving inwards. This tarot card is the 10 of Pentacles, so if you have this card show up in your tarot spreads, it is a reference to this Full Moon. In this decan, we are tasked with the inevitability of endings. In the house that Virgo rules in your chart, this will show you what topics are being brought to a full culmination and will eventually end moving forward in the next 2 weeks as the Moon wanes and loses light. The Moon enters Libra a few hours after the Full Moon, showing the shifting and changing circumstances, while the Moon is losing light, but still in peak brightness, she highlights Venus’ condition. More coming up below.
Saturday March 19th
(12:18 AM ET) The Moon in Libra trine Mars at 09º40’ Aquarius
(4:52 AM ET) The Moon in Libra trine Venus at 12º11’ Aquarius
(7:16 AM ET) Venus in Aquarius square Uranus at 12º17’ Taurus
(7:58 PM ET) The Moon in Libra trine Saturn at 20º52’ Aquarius
The Moon will be ruled by Venus who is still currently besieged, and the Moon does make a trine to both Mars and Venus, bringing an eagerness to establish justice, balance, and fairness early in the morning. The Moon is filled with energy and light, and as she makes a trine to Mars, she finds an outlet to release this energy. There are major developments that happen with Venus’ besiegement today, as Venus also makes a square to Uranus, representing disruption, irritation, and unexpected change to our love life, relationships, and to the trapped situation that Venus is in between Mars and Saturn. Uranus transits are really great at bringing about the unexpected disruption that builds from a release of energy, and one way you can view this is when you get so irritated from mosquitos that you just flip. The Moon is working to try to mediate and bring balance to Venus’ challenging situation, and the square to Uranus gives Venus some strength to break out of her challenging situation. The gap between Venus and Saturn is closing (in terms of degrees) and they’re actually moving into orb of aspect with each other. Venus feels the pressure closing in on her, and as she moves towards Uranus, the tables are shook, flipped over, and destroyed. Venus is done with this bullshit.
Sunday March 20th
(8:39 AM ET) The Moon in Libra square Pluto at 28º12’ Capricorn
(11:33 AM ET) INGRESS: The Sun enters Aries
(11:44 AM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Scorpio
To end the week, the Moon will make a square to Pluto, which can add extra tension that bubbles to the surface, feelings of discomfort, and the leverage power dynamics has on social relationships between people. The Sun also enters Aries on this day, starting the Astrological New Year. After having only planets in Water and Air signs, which are seen to be Wet Signs, malleable, changeable, and binding things together, the energy in the air has felt very unstable and all over the place. The Sun entering Aries is the first planet to enter into a fire sign out of the 6 (not including the Moon), and our minds and hearts become illuminated, lit ablaze, and we can finally gather more direction of all the movement from the Air and Water signs. The Sun gets a dignity change, and for the better, by entering into the sign of its exaltation. When the Sun is exalted, our mind, perspective, consciousness, are clear and affirmed by our will to put things into motion and action. The Sun is ruled by Mars in this chart, which also highlights Mars’ condition in Aquarius. Self-agency and sovereignty are highlighted, and specifically how our will has been bound up or trapped since Mars is in Saturn’s sign. The Sun is strong-willed in Aries and not afraid to use it, expect to be embodying more boldness in your decision making, audacity, and the strength of the will to initiate something and begin something. The Moon will enter the sign of Scorpio shortly after, only following 10 minutes, and while the Sun, our passion in our mind, ambition, and willpower grow and rise, the Moon enters into the sign of her Depression and is Fallen, but also under the same governance as the Sun: in the sign of Mars. Mars takes management over both the Lights on Sunday. While Mars is in agreement (sextile) with the Sun to take bold action against authority figures, older people, and those in charge (Saturn), the pain of the Moon is highlighted as the Moon will move to square Mars tomorrow on Monday, and the pain is cold-blooded, between Scorpio, the middle of Fall, and Aquarius, the middle of Winter. The pace of things changes, and the Sun is leading the way through the zodiac, on one end, and the Moon is laying end to whatever needs to end in Scorpio, as she loses light. The martial influence of the luminaries brings over-excess in heat, inflammation, and stinging, or burning sensations. Potentially inflamed perspective too, whether it be in our mind, opinions, the words other people say and how they hurt us, social exile, or upset. Mars in an Air sign does show the weaponization of social interactions, and how cliquiness or exclusion can be something experienced through this transit.
