Introduction

Happy Tuesday everyone. I apologize for the delay in the deliver of the astro weather. It is kind of fitting with what I was originally going to write today (for Monday) since the Moon was applying to a square to Saturn all day, making Monday a very exhaustive, slow, and tired day. I’ve noticed that the Moon in Taurus with the North Node in Taurus puts further emphasis on rest, and the need for intense rest sometimes. Today I cleaned my house, did all my laundry, and took time to take care of my physical space and I think this is very important and necessary to do during the Taurus Moon. Beautify your space and environment for the sole fact it feels good. I was definitely exhausted at the end of the day, and you know when Saturn is the last aspect that is being made for the day, overcoming the Moon, by a square, you can be sure you’ll feel tired. Taurus Moon transits are gonna be bumpy in energy levels until 2023 (since Saturn will leave the square in 2023, and the North Node enters Aries in July 2023). Lets get into what this week has to offer: Mercury is having a sign (and dignity) change this week on Wednesday, and enters Pisces, Neptune conjoins the Sun, and the Moon is waxing on the path to become full of light by next week.
Monday March 7th
(1:37 AM ET) The Moon conjoins Uranus at 11º46’ Taurus
(8:49 AM ET) The Moon in Taurus sextile Jupiter at 15º27’ Pisces
(12:02 PM ET) The Moon in Taurus sextile the Sun at 17º06’ Pisces
(4:55 PM ET) The Moon in Taurus square Saturn at 19º34’ Aquarius
As a reflection for this day, I want everyone to think about what their experience is every time the Moon is in Taurus. The Moon is with one of the Nodes when it is in Taurus, and every month it will highlight a specific theme in the house that Taurus falls in your chart where your desire for pleasure and enjoyment is heightened. This is the Moon desiring security, but not just security, sensuality and tenderness too. The trust that comes from being close together. The Moon will be receiving the overcoming square from Saturn every time it is in Taurus until March 7th, 2023 when Saturn enters Pisces and moves out of a whole sign square with the sign of Taurus. When Saturn overcomes the Moon, our body is in pain. The Moon rules our body and our physical needs for nourishment and support, and depending on the position of the Moon in your chart, self-care can be difficult and it comes in different forms. What we can be certain is that we feel tired with the Moon squaring Saturn, exhausted, physically at your limits, and needing intense rest with the North Node in Taurus. This is going to be an upcoming theme so it’s best to start thinking about what you need to change in your routine to help contribute to the lifestyle that makes you feel supported and nourished. The house location of Taurus and Aquarius in your chart will show you what topics in life need to be adjusted, slowed down, restructured, and reinforced.
Tuesday March 8th
(3:21 AM ET) The Moon conjoins the North Node at 24º50 Taurus
(9:04 AM ET) The Moon in Taurus square Mercury at 27º42’ Aquarius
(1:39 PM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Gemini
(5:40 PM ET) The Moon in Gemini trines Mars at 02º00’ Aquarius
(6:27 PM ET) The Moon in Gemini trines Venus at 02º23’ Aquarius
Expect today and tomorrow to feel entirely different. The Moon enters Gemini and its ruler is doing some important stuff in the next few days.
The Moon is in Gemini represents the twins, or a pair, two of something, duality. Mercury will be in Aquarius today as the Moon ingresses into Gemini, and tomorrow Mercury will enter Pisces, the sign where it is Fallen and Exiled. On this day though, the Moon will aspect both Venus and Mars later in the day. I’ve already felt the AWKARDNESS of the Venus and Mars situation, by being caught in between the middle of two people fighting. The Venus and Mars in Aquarius transits will be social situations kind of awkward and uncomfortable, or just feeling very drained, but the Moon wants to talk. The Moon will talk out the elephant in the room on this day, be sure, affirmed, and concrete while in Aquarius. This is a great time to have uncomfortable conversations that you don’t want to have, but are worth having. You may feel able to articulate your thoughts better today than tomorrow. This trine of the Gemini Moon will be the only one that will witness Venus being besieged, so I suspect there to be a lot of talk around social injustices today since the Moon is moving from Mars to Venus.
Wednesday March 9th
(8:32 PM ET) INGRESS: Mercury enters Pisces
(10:06 PM ET) The Moon in Gemini squares Jupiter at 16º04’ Pisces
As we move into Wednesday, where we felt as if we could articulate our thoughts a lot clearer yesterday on Tuesday, now the question is: does anything make sense? This Gemini Moon transit is literally giving us two different sides of experiences, one day with Mercury in Aquarius & the next with Mercury in Pisces, and Mercury is definitely having a huge dignity shift.
Mercury by Essential Dignity has the sign of its Fall in Pisces, but this is also the sign of its Detriment too, so Mercury is double debilitated here. But what does that mean for a planet to be debilitated? Well, the planet is in a challenging situation, and the environment is not supportive in what that planet tries to accomplish. In the case of Mercury, as the archetype of the messenger, it represents broken messengers, whether it be a mistranslation, misunderstanding, a lost message, losing of information, Mercury has challenges in Pisces because Venus and Jupiter desire wholeness and oneness, and Mercury gives order, form, and establishes differences. Nuances and details are blurred together and become blown out of proportion and exaggerated. Mercury in Gemini or Virgo will tell something as it is realistically with facts and details, and Mercury in Sagittarius or Pisces are concerned with the symbolic understanding of something, not the literal. Mercury expands the imagination and allows it to run wild, on tangents even. Doing Mercury-related things like paperwork, writing, trying to put words together, engaging with language, can be challenging and things just don’t make sense. Maybe your technology or computers see some power outages or they don’t work anymore (be careful of liquid around technology, especially during this time, since Mercury is going to be in a Water Sign).
This is going to be a great time, however, if you are a poet because Mercury in Pisces is a sign of someone who is a poet in their chart. Mercury knows how to communicate the abstract and weave words together not for them to make sense, but to evoke sensation, and to get lost in them. Let loose on how you usually communicate and don’t be afraid to try something new. Mercury in this sign innovates to survive and finds different or new ways to communicate outside of the convention/norm. Pay attention to what is NOT said. Mercury in the larger scale of its transit through Pisces will last until the end of the month by March 27th, when it enters Aries, so it’s a relatively short transit of 3 weeks. In this time though, Mercury will disappear from the sky, and enter the beams of the Sun by Saturday, also creating challenges for Mercury since it will now be burned up by the Sun, entering into the beams. There’s obscurity, miscommunication, misunderstanding, and Mercury’s ability to correctly articulate the facts will be challenging. I’m expecting a lot of misinformation and lies to be the biggest culprits of Mercury’s condition. I’ve also seen gullibility or falling for something because of lack of discernment being represented by this transit. Mercury has trouble discerning what is separate or different between the collective of things. Luckily though, by March 20th, Mercury will conjoin Jupiter (the Ruler of Pisces), and come to understand the truth, because that is also the same that Jupiter will become visible in the sky, representing the return. of faith, justice, temperance, and balance. Jupiter will be newly born, and Abraham Ibn Ezra tells us that
“[when a planet has risen out of the rays] it will be strong and well-fitted to perfect what it indicates, just like a man who was sick, and now is wholly freed and has resumed all his powers; and just like a building which had already fallen and now is restored and newly raised, and improved in all if its parts; thus it is with all of the aforesaid planets so disposed.” - Introduction to Traditional Astrology, Abu Ma'shar and al Qabisi, translated by Dr. Benjamin Dykes, Page 105.
The Moon applying from a square to Jupiter as the only aspect for this day, while the Moon is in the reception with Mercury who just changed signs, make this a day where our minds may feel ALL over the place. Nothing makes sense, you can’t articulate it, and are trying to find different ways to do so. Sometimes you just need to lean into nothing making sense, and laugh a little, says Jupiter hehe.
Thursday March 10th
(5:45 AM ET) The Moon in Gemini squares the Sun at 19º50’ Pisces
(5:47 AM ET The Moon in Gemini trines Saturn at 19º51’ Aquarius
(11:42 AM ET) The Moon in Gemini squares Neptune at 22º46’ Pisces
As we move into Thursday, the waxing Moon hits a square from the Sun, marking the first half of the Moon, gaining more light, she finds herself more confident in the words and needs to talk. It’s very interesting because although Mercury is in Pisces, this is a Moon who wants to talk and as she intakes more light, she is filled with ideas, knowledge, stories, like the high priestess. The Moon is especially highlighting Mercury’s condition by this time, and the square to the Sun puts the luminaries in conflict. If the luminaries are in conflict, they represent disagreements about perception. With the Moon in conflict, this can bring disagreements, arguments, and back and forth bickering. The Moon applies to Saturn which does help to give some grounding and sobering to our mind, but also might make us feel mentally exhausted or tired, so if you feel exhausted don’t push yourself today. The Moon also applies to a square to Neptune after so things might also be a little confusing towards the end of the day. Our perspective and information gets distorted or twisted around. Mercury has a job to deliver facts but in the ocean of Pisces, who is packed by this time with the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune. This is all happening as Neptune is getting ready to make a conjunction with the Sun by the end of the week.
Friday March 11th
(2:24 AM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Cancer
(7:00 AM ET) The Moon in Cancer trine Mercury at 2º16’ Pisces
As we head into the Weekend, things chill out a little bit with the Moon in Cancer. The Moon will be averse from both Mars and Saturn, now that Mars is out of Capricorn, and from Venus, but will also be receiving a trine from the Sun and Jupiter. The Moon trine Mercury today brings the topic of communicating the unspoken, our feelings, and giving language and form to something that may not have it. I love this day for writing poetry, expressing yourself, and allowing your feelings to either flow onto a page or onto a canvas. Give yourself the freedom to be creative and allow part of you to be poured into finding a way to channel how you feel.
Saturday March 12th
(7:26 AM ET) SYNODIC CYCLE: Mercury enters the Beams of the Sun at 3º54’ Pisces
(12:06 PM ET) The Moon in Cancer trine Jupiter at 16º41’ Pisces
(11:52 PM ET) The Moon in Cancer trine the Sun at 22º35’ Pisces
On Saturday, the Moon makes a beautiful trine to Jupiter and the Sun in Pisces, and it can be great for receiving inspiration, learning, engaging with a teacher figure, and divination. Mercury does set under the beams of the Sun on this day though, and will not be visible in the sky anymore until it emerged as an evening star in April. This can make communicating and sharing your thoughts more challenging, since Mercury in the Water Signs is seen to be mute, but especially under the beams, Mercury is in a challenging situation. The trine of the Moon to Jupiter makes me think of just having to feel things out. Its not the time to rely on logic and reason, but on your intuition and get in touch with how your body reacts to certain situations. The literal won’t make sense, but interpreting the symbolic will open your eyes to something different.
Sunday March 13th
(6:43 AM ET) SYNODIC CYCLE: Neptune Cazimi at 22º52’ Pisces
(10:44 AM ET) The Moon in Cancer opposes Pluto at 28º04’ Capricorn
(2:31 PM ET) INGRESS: The Moon enters Leo
To end the week, Neptune will actually be conjoining the Sun, and what this transit has shown me in the past is it reveals what is true and what is false. The illusion is now know, and the false perception of reality is restored by truth. Neptune transits can be super confusing, blurry, and weird overall, but on the Cazimi, a fog is lifted and you can see clearly now. The Moon’s only aspect for the day is an opposition to Pluto, which can bring buried and hidden feelings to the surface during a moment of disillusionment. Neptune allows us to close out the last cycle of discerning what is truth from reality, and to start a new journey of questioning the nature of what is real. By the middle of the day, the Moon enters Leo and will immediately be applying to an opposition to Mars that will go exact tomorrow on Monday, which can stir up fights, competition, arguments, conflict, and challenging of authority. It brings momentum of passion that carries forward into next week.
