NEW FREE WEBINAR - Medieval World Astrology: Religions & Dynasties, by Blaze-Maximus
You're invited to Blaze's upcoming Webinar THIS Thursday October 24th, 2024 at 8 PM ET (7 PM Central, 6 PM Mountain, 5 PM Pacific)
Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and thriving. I wanted to drop by the let everyone know that I’m going to be doing my FIRST lecture for the Association for Young Astrologers this Thursday October 24th on Medieval World Astrology.
This will be a free 90 Minute presentation that outlines the Medieval Framework of World Astrology theory, practice, and prediction.
“World Astrology is the oldest branch of astrology that is concerned with using astrology to make predictions about the world, political alliances, the rise and fall of empires, natural disasters, religions, and dynasties. Blaze-Maximus has been studying the Medieval Islamic tradition of World Astrology through the works of Dr. Ali A Olomi, Abu Ma'shar Jafar ibn Muhammad ibn al-Balkhi, and Masha'allah ibn Athari. In this talk we will explore the framework of Historical Astrology that breaks down epochs of a thousand years into smaller and smaller ages of history. This talk will present a universal timeline to explore where we are at according to the Medieval framework and interpretation of what to expect for the future.”
The inspiration for this talk for the Association for Young Astrologers comes from a text I’ve been reading by Abu Ma’shar: “Religions and Dynasties”. Its one out of 3 books which are meant to be read together. Charles Burnett and the late Keiji Yamamoto have published a translation back in 1999. The framework for this talk is only 1/3rd of the framework of world astrology. The other two books, Kitab al Qiranat (Book of Conjunctions) and Kitab al Uluf (the Book of Thousands) are not available in English, one of which is only available in Turkey as a manuscript. This book, Kitab Al Dawla, outlines the framework of how to interpret the rise of new dynasties and empires but also religions, prophets, and religious revivals or rebels.Astrologers like Abu Ma’shar would note 2020 as the beginning of the fall of an empire & the rise of a new. We’ll talk about what this framework means for the current world we live in, the current state of politics, and how it can be useful for understanding how our world will shift in the next century or so.
Some of you may remember my weekly forecasts I used to do on Substack. We incorperate *some* of this framework into those forecasts, but my study over the past 2 years has lead me to shift away from doing transit-like forecasts, and start practicing in the way of the court astrologers of the Medieval era.
I’d love to have every one of you there! Come prepared with a notebook/app, some food, drinks, and questions.
