This week is probably the most eventful one of November, as we head into the beginning of Eclipse Season, and most of this week is spent moving towards this buildup. In addition to this week being out set up for the Eclipse, it’s also our set up for the Venus Retrograde, since Venus will enter its shadow period on Wednesday, where it will start moving over the degrees of the zodiac sign (Capricorn) where it will eventually cross back over during its Retrograde Cycle. Let’s take a dive into the week and see what we can expect from each day.
Monday Nov 15th
(1:59 AM ET) Moon in Aries sextile Saturn at 7º54’ Aquarius
(4:06 AM ET) Moon in Aries square Venus at 08º59’ Capricorn
(2:58 PM ET) Sun in Scorpio square Jupiter at 23º40’ Aquarius
We start off our week with the Moon making its first aspects to planets in Aries since its ingress on Sunday. On this same day, the Sun is moving towards the end of Scorpio and encounters Jupiter in Aquarius. If there was any challenges with leadership, making the right decision, or feeling blocked in any way from the previous square to Saturn on Oct 30th, Jupiter provides some relief and aid, an opportunity to find freedom and support from any daunting challenges. Monday features both of the benefics square the luminaries: Venus to the Moon, Jupiter to the Sun. When the benefics are squared, they become motivating forces that enable us to do good, create moderation, support, and balance. Collaboration and taking the lead are prominent themes, and having the support and backing to move forward is the influence of benefics. The Luminaries are going to be both ruled by Mars during this time period, so it is very easy to burn out. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Tuesday Nov 16th
(8:55 AM ET) Moon in Aries sextile Jupiter at 23º44’ Aquarius
(10:50 AM ET) Moon in Aries square Pluto at 24º43’ Capricorn
VOID MOON: 10:50 AM ET to 9:17 PM ET
(4:01 PM ET) Sun in Scorpio sextile Pluto at 24º43’ Capricorn
(9:17 PM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Taurus
On Tuesday, the Moon then makes an application to Jupiter and Pluto within 2 hours of each other. This Moon in Aries square Pluto may bring up issues of feeling seen, personal autonomy, and power, being contrasted with the restricting force of Pluto in Capricorn. Bravery and willingness to fight against structures of power is another theme of this Lunar Eclipse, since it is a preview to the next 18-month cycle of the Eclipses bouncing back and forth between the Taurus and Scorpio axis. The Moon will also enter Taurus after it leaves Aries today, which starts setting up the events that will eventually take place for the Eclipse. Tuesday does feel a little more lax, but with an undertone of frustration. The sextiles the Moon makes to Jupiter and the Sun to Pluto help to smoothen things out for the day. Jupiter brings sober optimism.
Wednesday Nov 17th
(12:22 PM ET) Mars in Scorpio opposes Uranus at 12º15’ Taurus
(1:19 PM ET) Moon in Taurus square Saturn at 08º02’ Aquarius
(3:49 PM ET) RETROGRADE CYCLE: Venus enter Shadow at 11º04’ Capricorn
(7:38 PM ET) Moon in Taurus trine Venus at 11º12’ Capricorn
(9:44 PM ET) Moon conjoins Uranus at 12º14’ Taurus
(10:20 PM ET) Moon in Taurus opposes Mars at 12º32’ Scorpio
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday all have this huge buildup. We’re getting Mars opposing Uranus, after recently separating from a square to Saturn. Saturn and Mars aspects can feel like needing to move faster and power through something, but that is met with a lot of resistance and blockages from moving through something. Offense with Mars is met with defense with Saturn. There is a wild card that comes up, that you probably weren’t expecting. It makes me think of when someone says “this is the last straw!” and they kind of just lose their shit. Expect people to lose their shit this day. Mars and Uranus together is a kind of disruption to the fixed, focused, and calculated nature of Scorpio, and Mars can no longer handle it. The Moon applying to a square to Saturn earlier in the day makes this day start off with a lot of irritation, disruption, and unexpected challenges. Then, Venus moves into its shadow and will start moving over the degrees of Capricorn that it will Retrograde back over from 12.19 to 1.29. Anything going on with Venus from this moment in time will eventually need to be reviewed and gone over during the Retrograde. I kept seeing with my clients that Venus would enter shadow only 2 days before an Eclipse in Venus’ sign, Taurus, so much of what this Eclipse on Friday brings up will be an important part of the plot for the Venus Retrograde. Luckily, the Moon in Taurus makes a nice trine to its domicile lord, which can be somewhat supportive for the Eclipse, especially since Venus is in the overcoming position. Justice, Order, and value on structure become relevant topics, and I think we’re going to have a re-evaluation on whether the structures and positions of power we place value on have as much value as they’re considered to have. This can be motivating to incite change, and this is what the Moon does when it applies to conjoin Uranus and an opposition to Mars. Inspiring change, urgency, and intolerance. Wednesday can be pretty tense, as the Moon passes over the major configurations happening on that same day, while still being in the same sign where it will be Eclipsed.
Thursday Nov 18th
(10:37 AM ET) Mercury in Scorpio trine Neptune at 20º26’ Pisces
(2:13 PM ET) Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune at 20º26’ Pisces
(2:47 PM ET) Moon in Taurus opposite Mercury at 20º43’ Scorpio
(9:22 PM ET) Moon in Taurus square Jupiter at 23º59’ Aquarius
(10:57 PM ET) Moon in Taurus trine Pluto at 24º46’ Capricorn
Thursday is just an extension of what Wednesday has to offer. We start off with Mercury trine Neptune, talking about finding leaked secrets, information on one end, on another it can be really good for expressing your imagination and depth of creativity. Just don’t get too lost in the sauce. The Moon makes an opposition to Mercury as well, contrasting the fantasy, imaginative, and expressive Mercury with the sensation of reality and grounding of changes in comfort, pleasure, and security. The Moon opposite Mercury brings news, although I cannot be sure it is all good. While there is a benefic in aspect, and Mercury is applying to Jupiter, Mercury is still in Mars’ sign as a malefic. Mercury/Jupiter is having a lot to say, or an abundance of information to share, but not all of it may be good news. The Moon does apply to Jupiter right after opposing to Mercury, and it can be representative of Jupiter inflating the news that it gets from the Moon (and Mercury) before Jupiter actually ‘receives’ the news, since Mercury and Jupiter will apply together on Saturday. This aspect is actually known as an “Interference” aspect; in Arabic, blocking or prohibition; in Latin Prevention, prohibition; in Greek Intervention. This happens when Planet A is applying to Planet B, but before that happens Planet C (a third planet) applies to Planet B before Planet A can. In this case, the Moon is Planet C, intervening between the application happening with Mercury and the Moon. Maybe you can quite literally expect interference coming up this week from the Taurus part of your chart.
Friday Nov 19th
(1:07 AM ET) Venus in Capricorn trine Uranus at 12º12’ Taurus
(3:57 AM ET) ECLIPSE: Lunar Eclipse at 27º14’ Taurus
(9:32 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Gemini
Then we transition into Friday which is the big day for everyone. It’s the day of the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, two days after Venus entered shadow, the Lunar Eclipse is here to reveal any shadows that are lurking in your Taurus house.
SEE THIS ECLIPSE: If you live in the United States, you’ll be able to see the Lunar Eclipse the night going from the 18th to the 19th. Click this link to see what time the exact eclipse goes exact in your location: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2021-november-19
If you’ve never watched a Lunar Eclipse, I highly recommend taking a look at the magic of the stars at work. Although some might say it is best to not be exposed to the ‘baleful rays’ of an Eclipse, since they viewed the light being emitted from Eclipses to be malefic, so if you prefer to stay inside, this is a good reason to. Personally, I will be outside to look at the sky and stargazing during the Eclipse, and hopefully, share some great footage for everyone.
The Moon is in its exaltation throughout this entire time, and it’s something I’ve been thinking about on Twitter. When a planet is in its Exaltation, it is in a state of elevation, being lifted up, and supported in what it’s doing. The Moon in Taurus is seeking stability, comfort, and is supported by Venus. It’s not the best of circumstances because Venus is in Capricorn, in the Moon’s Detriment or Exile, meaning the Moon is responding to a Venus who highlights depravity, loss of value, and decline, since this is what Capricorn can represent. The Moon being in Exile in Capricorn comes from the fact that the Moon, as the symbol of life and growth, is in the sign that is the most barren and the beginning of Winter. Winter is not usually known for the growth or generation of life. In Capricorn, the Moon is focused on what has decayed, and with Venus, this Eclipse might be a period of realizing something has lost worth or value, this can be a personal interpretation or a mundane one. On a mundane scale, I expect to see a LOT of public scandals with government and authority figures, that will eventually be reviewed by December when Venus stations Retrograde. I expect the value of the USDollar to go down DRAMATICALLY since this Venus Retrograde will be taking place in the United States’ 2nd House. Venus in Capricorn is bribery for power and that’s what’s being reviewed during this time period. Conflict and fights over power and money are relevant with Taurus and Capricorn. Contestation and challenge. Mars will be in the 7th sign from Taurus the sign where the Eclipse will be. Mars is also still invisible: something is going on behind the scenes that will be brought to light eventually on Sunday where Mars starts to become released from the Sun’s Beams and will be visible in the sky just before Sunrise. Mars will appear as a bright red dot in the sky. The red planet rising before the Sun is a symbol of conflict.
Eclipses effects will usually take 6 months to play out. Although the timing for everyone may be different depending on where Taurus falls in their chart. For Eclipse day, it’s best to just rest and take time to relax. If you can’t, it might be best to just be open to a change of routine for the day.
Before we wrap up Friday, another note is that at 26º28’ of Taurus is the Fixed Star ‘Algol’. It is a star in the constellation Perseus, and is the eye in the severed head of Medusa. Algol tends to insight rage that is uncontrollable, but that only comes as a result of some sort of injustice. Specifically towards women. When justice has failed, Algol shows us how we take matters into our own hands. This is a particularly angry Eclipse, and Uranus’ aggrandizement of intolerance, disruption, and the unexpected, and Jupiter just enlargens this to a greater degree since it is in the overcoming square. Jupiter and Saturn in the 10th sign from Taurus, and Mercury, Mars, and the Sun all in the 7th sign from Taurus: it is about fighting against forces that try to strip you of your autonomy. We might see people become uncontrollably angry during this time period. Algol can literally or metaphorically signify people losing their heads.
People with money must be careful during this time period. 13th-century Astrologer Guido Bonatti states
“And if the Head [North Node, also known as the head of the dragon] were in Taurus, it signifies the killing of wealthy; and it signifies a multitude of differences between the wealthy and the magnates and the rustic of western parts” - Chapter 103, Bonatti on Mundane Astrology, translated by Benjamin Dykes.
Saturday Nov 20th
(2:12 AM ET) Moon in Gemini trine Saturn at 8º12’ Aquarius
(6:42 PM ET) Mercury in Scorpio square Jupiter at 24º11’ Aquarius
As we move into Saturday, the Moon is in Gemini, and will now make an application to Saturn, right as its ruler, Mercury applies to a square to Jupiter. This Saturday is still the Eclipse cool down, but after “losing our heads”, from the climactic Friday, the Moon in Gemini tries to bring us to balance ourselves out. It is especially important to protect your mental health during this time. You can expect big news to come out today as well. Honestly, the whole fucking week is filled with big news LOL. However, Mercury and Jupiter applying to each other after the Moon has interfered with their connection means that Mercury is bringing news that unexpectedly came up to Jupiter, asking Jupiter for support and aid. This will probably be the last important role Jupiter has before it goes into Pisces. The Moon is going to be very void all day, from 2:12 AM ET to tomorrow at 10:51 AM ET, for almost 33 hours. Don’t make too many decisions, just listen to the news that comes your way. You don’t need to react immediately.
Sunday Nov 21st
(3:05 AM ET) Moon in Gemini square Neptune at 20º25’ Pisces
(4:13 AM ET) Mercury in Scorpio sextile Pluto at 24º48’ Capricorn
(10:51 AM ET) Moon in Gemini trine Jupiter at 24º15’ Aquarius
(9:33 PM ET) INGRESS: Sun enters Sagittarius
(10:32 PM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Cancer
Sunday is the beginning of next week, and we open up this week with the Moon, after being very void, applying to Neptune (with no light) creating an element of confusion into the beginning of the day, however that evens out a little with the Moon applying to Jupiter shortly after. Take Sunday to take care of yourself and rest. The Sun and Moon go from being in opposing signs to being averse to each other by ending Sagittarius and Cancer. This shifts the vibe tremendously, because now the Sun is entering the sign where it will have its final Eclipse in the Gemini/Sagittarius axis, and is closing the previous 18-month cycle. Beginnings and endings become overlapped with the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, since it is the beginning of the next 18-month cycle of the Eclipses in Taurus/Scorpio. We get an opportunity to rest and recover with the Moon in Cancer, and with the Sun in Sagittarius, we start seeking truth.
