Astro Weather Forecast - Issue #3

Welcome everyone to Week 3 of the AstroWeather Forecast for the week ahead. Today is the week of Monday October 4th, 2021 and lets take a look at some of the important transits coming up this week.

AstroWeather Visualization: Week of Oct 4th
Monday, Oct 4th
VOID MOON: 28 hours and 46 minutes
(5:18 AM ET) Moon in Virgo trine Uranus at 13º59’ Taurus
(5:47 PM ET) Moon in Virgo opposite Neptune at 21º14’ Pisces
(11:03 PM ET) Moon in Virgo sextile Pluto at 24º18’ Capricorn
Monday turns out to be a very interesting day especially because the Moon is currently void and will be void the entire day on Monday, the Moon’s day. Although the Moon will be making aspects to outer planets, because outer planets cannot emit light, the Moon is still void, because you can’t see outer planets in the sky at night. Today might feel a little mentally stressful especially when you have no sense of direction or where you’re going. It’s okay if you feel like that today, especially because this Void Moon is being activated on the Moon’s day. Don’t get in your own head too much, it might drive you insane. Sometimes it might be better to focus on mental rest and care, especially since this Moon is ruled by a Mercury Retrograde in Libra, who is going to be doing some important things this week. The Moon in Virgo is a call to knowing how to discern between what is real and what is not. Sometimes we may feel like we don’t know, but we also are allowed time to reshape our frame of reference, and part of that process is knowing that things don’t make sense. Give yourself time on Monday. Don’t place too many expectations on plans to go through. You don’t, and probably shouldn’t try too hard under a Void Moon, because nothing will come of the situation, as the ancient proverb goes. But it’s true, the Moon was seen as the planet, the luminary, connecting the heavens and earth through her glow, and if the Moon wasn’t aspecting any planets, nothing was happening. There was a tweet by a fellow Astrologer, Joshua who put this perfectly. Don’t stress it, literally. If you don’t wanna do it, you don’t need to do it.

@clairdevenus The moon’s not working so neither should you.
Tuesday
Tuesday, Oct 5th
(4:46 AM ET) Moon in Virgo sextile Venus at 27º40’ Scorpio.
VOID MOON: 4:46 AM ET to 8:41 AM ET
(8:41 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Libra
(8:15 PM ET) Moon in Libra trines Saturn at 6º54’ Aquarius
So this brings us into Tuesday, after feeling a little lifeless and low energy on Monday, the Moon starts to make an application towards Venus at 4:46 AM, and then the Moon goes void again. This Moon/Venus sextile is interesting considering it is the last aspect that is made to Venus before Venus enters Sagittarius on Thursday, 2 days from now. There’s a lot of cathartic releases that come up on Tuesday and it might be a pretty emo day, Scorpio transits usually are. Know what to let go of and what is worth protecting and fighting for. There’s an increased focus on emotional pain and depravation, or rejection. These Decans (Virgo III and Scorpio III) are ruled by Mercury/Venus and Venus/Moon, which is interesting because Venus is a ruler for both decans, and Venus enjoying being in her own decan shows what one desires, it shows what one may be longing or missing for. This is the 7 of cups. Sometimes this missing or longing can drive us into obsession, but other times it can be really grounding when we are able to channel some of our deepest emotions into meaningful works of art. This is totally an artist decan, and I recommend taking Tuesday to paint, draw, and express how you feel through a visual medium. You might find it a healing experience. The Moon does enter Libra throughout the day which changes the tone of the day dramatically because now we have 4 planets in Libra, and we’re back to having 6 planets in Air signs, the same way we had last Monday (Sept 27th) when Mercury Stationed Retrograde, and the Moon will be passing all over those Libra planets going into Wednesday. The Moon hasn’t had any aspects to planets other than Venus so, in a way, it’s still void, and is running through that void for the entire day, although it has already gone under the beams. It might feel like you’re walking on eggshells, or on a teeter-totter.
Wednesday Oct 6th
(7:05 AM ET) LUNATION: New Moon at 13º24’ Libra
(8:03 AM ET) Moon conjoins Mars at 14º00’ Libra
(2:28 PM ET) STATION: Pluto stations Direct at 24º18’ Capricorn
(5:39 PMET) Moon conjoins Mercury Retrograde at 19º49’ Libra
(10:08 PM ET) Moon in Libra trines Jupiter at 22º32’ Aquarius
VOID MOON: 10:08 PM ET to 10:22 AM ET, Oct 7th
Now that we’re into Wednesday, the Moon is in Libra, and the first aspect it makes is to the Sun, it is a New Moon. If there was any day that was going to feel the most energetically draining, it may be this day, because New Moons are a time where we are really purging a lot of the built-up energy from the last lunation cycle, and that’s what the Moon represents when it goes under the beams. I think of the New Moon is the first “inhale” when we take breathes, and we are at capacity for breathing in when we reach the Full Moon. The cycle of the Moon shows the duality of inhale and exhale through the increase and decrease of light of the Moon’s waxing and waning phases. Anywho, we have a new beginning starting on Wednesday, and a lot of us may come to important realizations, or things might “click” on this day. At this point, the Moon is already increasing in light and the first planet it makes an aspect to is Mars, which can be very combative and can feeling like one has to emotionally justify themselves. I would imagine people feeling very defensive on this day, and I would avoid overstepping, saying things you probably shouldn’t say, think about if it is your place to speak, especially because it’s Mercury’s Day, because there is the potential to upset people and be engaged in some sort of conflict. It’s interesting because in addition to the Moon taking center stage in this New Moon in Libra, Pluto stations Direct today! Pluto will officially start moving direct in motion in the zodiac, and one thing that is important for now is opening up a greater Pluto cycle for the next year-ish (after it passes back over its shadow) because next year the United States is having it’s Pluto Return, which is a very interesting and monumental transit, that has been ongoing since 2008 when Pluto first entered Capricorn, and is now reaching the pinnacle, or climax. This New Moon could be important with something being started on this day. The Moon will then come to conjoin Mercury who is Retrograde, talking about some sort of reversal of decision, or someone who changed their mind, maybe feels differently. It looks like getting some Mercury Retrograde-related news of your plans taking a detour. The Moon coming to conjoin Mercury Retrograde on Mercury’s day is interesting because it makes Mercury stuff like communication, messages, news, internet, technology, words, language, social media, all become so much more relevant, and we can be potentially see a further development in the plotline of what this Mercury Retrograde was about in your own natal chart (check what house Libra is in). Just when you thought it was over, the Moon makes an application to Jupiter in Aquarius, which can bring more of a sense of optimism towards resolution all of the previous transits that came up. I think the trines to Jupiter in Aquarius have really been supportive in the sense of giving folks a sense of community, or friendship, that will eventually help them out and work it out with them throughout the craziness of it all, and all this air energy has been heavy on thinking about the people you connect and socialize with and the different roles those people play in your life. Be open to solutions and be open to believing resolutions can be worked out. It might require you to make some changes though. Compromise.
Thursday Oct 7th
(1:03 AM ET) Moon in Libra square Pluto at 24º18’ Capricorn
(7:20 AM ET) INGRESS: Venus enters Sagittarius
(10:22 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Scorpio
(9:37 PM ET) Moon in Scorpio squares Saturn in Aquarius
Shifting over into Thursday, the Mercury Retrograde not only takes a different turn, but so does Venus, and she’s finally leaving her exile in Scorpio to enter the sign of Sagittarius. This helps to lighten the mood, since Jupiter is the ruler of Venus, whereas Mars was the ruler of Venus previously, and Mars can definitely be very somber, whereas Jupiter is more geared towards organized, established, connection and community and building groups, and networks of support, literally Jupiter in Aquarius. Venus in Sagittarius likes to have fun. They want to PARTY! Come on they want to have a good time. Doesn’t matter where we go, what we do, let’s just have fun. Let’s go on an adventure just for the fun of it. Because Venus has essentially no dignity in Sagittarius, the fun is less in the destination, and more on the going to the destination. It makes me think of this quote from Avatar the Last Airbender, where Lily, the nomads outside the Cave of Two Lovers exclaims to Sokka
“You got to focus less on the "where” and more on the “going”.
Just have fun to have fun. You don’t need an explanation. Have faith in the fact that joy is a communal experience and it’s created with the people you have around. I think friendship is going to be a really important theme for Venus in Sagittarius and we’ll see this play out more especially as Venus will be in Jupiter’s sign as Jupiter stations direct in 11 days. Be the life of the part. And in the same breath, The Moon also goes Void and enters Scorpio, the sign Venus just left! And the Moon starts to apply to a square towards Saturn. There’s a need for freedom with Venus in Sagittarius, but also some hurt and pain that comes with that, feeling emotionally stagnant or looking really deep into something. It feels like having to come to some important truths to make peace with that may require you to rethink about who you’re placing your love in, and what faith that is build off of. The Moon square Saturn can always feel kind of heavy and somber, and the Moon in Scorpio makes it emo, so really just know that people are going through it and could be also potentially be having breakthroughs in understanding what role they play in the relationships with other people, and how to shift their experience to achieve a level of happiness that feels supportive and empowering, as Fire Signs usually bring.
Friday, Oct 8th
(12:00 AM ET) Sun conjoins Mars at 15º05’ Libra
(8:59 AM ET) Moon in Scorpio opposes Uranus at 13º51’ Taurus
(8:52 PM ET) Moon in Scorpio trine Neptune at 21º07’ Pisces
(11:03 PM ET) Moon in Scorpio square Jupiter at 22º28’ Aquarius
VOID MOON: 11:03 PM ET to Oct 9th, 11:24 AM ET
This finally brings us into Friday, Venus’s Day, so we have our Venus in Sagittarius activated, and the first aspect at midnight on the East Coast of the USA is the Sun conjoining Mars in Libra, while the Moon is in Mars’ sign, also activating Mars’ movements. Mars entering the Heart of the Sun gives an understanding about this Mars cycle of enemies, power dynamics, your vitality, where you should be directing your energy, what kind of work you should be doing, who are the enemies we have in our daily lives– we get realizations about all of these themes throughout this time, and it is the beginning of another 2-year cycle of Mars going around the Sun. The next time Mars will conjoin the Sun is November 18, 2023, so we got quite a while, and the seeds of Mars’ journey around the Sun are being planet today. There might be a lot of realizations on what the next “fight” against the obstacles thrown in your path is, and what plan of action should be taken to overcome them. Mars entering the Heart of the Sun can talk about achieving Justice. But with this comes the question of what Justice looks like. Don’t worry, Mercury never leaves any question unanswered. Just wait until tomorrow. While this is all happening with the Sun and Mars today, in Venus’ sign, who is applying to conjoin the South Node, the Moon is applying to Jupiter, the ruler of Venus. This is important because it also brings a sense of optimism to image-related issues, and how you appear to others or feel your sense of belonging or purpose in the world around you. Any tension or somberness that was built at the Moon/Saturn square may start to alleviate as this aspect ends, leaving the day on a happy note. This looks like getting deeper with friends after coming to important truths about connections and how much emotional value we place on other people.
Saturday, Oct 9th
Saturday, Oct 9th
(2:05 AM ET) Moon in Scorpio sextile Pluto at 24º18’ Capricorn
(11:24 AM ET) INGRESS: Moon enters Sagittarius
(12:18 PM ET) Mercury Retrograde conjoins the Sun at 16º35’ Libra
(3:36 PM ET) Moon conjoins Venus at 02º33’ Sagittarius
(6:48 PM ET) Mercury Retrograde conjoins Mars at 16º16’ Libra
(10:43 PM ET) Moon in Sagittarius sextiles Saturn at 06º52’ Aquarius
However, when we move into Saturday, the Moon will be void, and enters Sagittarius, where it will conjoin Venus at the same time Venus conjoins the South Node at 3:10 PM ET. Venus on the South Node talks about a decrease in friendship, and honestly changes within the friends and alliances we make with other people, especially because Mercury will be conjoining the Sun today, marking the halfway point in it’s Retrograde cycle, the Cazimi is the moment of understanding of the adjustment that needs to be made, or why a certain theme has been so loud since it’s opened on September 6th, 2021. We’re at this halfway point in this cycle now, and its about letting go. The Moon and Venus is also about faith as well. What faith do we have in our friends and the people we care about? I think it’s interesting as this entire configuration is happening between 3 planets, Venus, the South Node, and the Moon we have the Sun, Mercury, and Mars at 16º of Libra. There’s a lot of planets butting heads right now, and it could be people falling out and things not falling through. The South Node usually signifies things vanishing, or being taken away, taken out, flushing down the drain, etc. Having the ruler of the Triple Libra conjunction be this Venus, Venus wants fresh connection, fresh flames, and wants to feel excited in Sagittarius, and sometimes this means making readjustments to the vibes you want to be around with this Mercury Retrograde. It’s a day of coming to a lot of deep realizations about your perspective and sometimes even your subconscious perspective on how you approach faith, friendship, and spirituality.
Saturday, Oct 10th
Sunday, Oct 10th
(12:49 PM ET) Moon in Sagittarius sextiles Mercury Retrograde at 15º23’ Libra
(3:11 PM ET) Moon in Sagittarius sextiles Mars at 16º49’ Libra
(4:44 PM ET) Moon in Sagittarius sextiles the Sun at 17º45’ Libra
(10:16 PM ET) Moon in Sagittarius squares Neptune at 21º04’ Pisces
(10:17 PM ET) STATION: Saturn Stations Direct at 6º52’ Aquarius
As we move into Sunday, we start to feel a little bit more resolution and more ability to actually have freedom to explore, freedom to seek out new experiences, even if they go nowhere with Venus in Peregrine, what joy and pleasure can we find in spontaneity? Mercury and Mars have now shifted to the other side of the Sun and are in the process of becoming a Morning Star, renewed by the Heart of the Sun, a new perspective dawning over, something realized, and decisiveness towards what modes of action we can take start to appear for today. These sextiles to all the planets in Libra provide gentle cooperation and putting your faith in those who are supporting you in even when you’re at your lowest low, and knowing what support you should solidify your faith in for fulfilling the need for connection. Saturn stations Direct on this day, on the same day the Moon square Neptune, it might feel confusing at first, but Saturn provides direction and a solution towards building structure and foundation that is much sturdier over the next few months than when Saturn was in pre-shadow, from Feb 14th to May 23rd, 2021. We start to feel more empowered to collaborate and to work with others during this time. After the week of going through not only emotional ups and downs, but philosophical musings, it’s nice to feel some sort of confidence in creating stability, commitment, and structure in our lives. With a lot of air planets, everything feels “up in the air”, but we get some clarity this Sunday.

Remember the AstroWeather is what you make it. You can choose to embody the best qualities and work towards digging deeper in these retrograde and reflective transits, because who we’re supposed to be around and determining those who are here to support us is a big theme for the entirety of these Libra transits, and who we’re placing trust or faith in with Venus in Sagittarius becomes important. Chose what makes you happy, and chose what brings you joy. These transits are helping you grow into a place in your life that feels more purposeful and fulfilling with who you create experiences with. Happy Monday everyone, and have a good week!
